To hear the wind blown gently through the Shakuhachi is to hear enlightenment. During the medieval times the Fuke Zen Monks wore went on meditative pilgrimages with woven baskets over their heads while playing the Shakuhachi as a meditative expression of concepts which cannot be expressed with words.
