#31 Amma Asante: The Only One
This week I’m joined by BAFTA Award-Winning Director Amma Asante. Amma started out as an actress and has appeared in Grange Hill, Desmonds and Birds of A Feather. In 2004 Amma’s directorial debut film A Way of Life premiered at the Toronto Film festival, and Amma won 17 International awards. At the 2005 BAFTA Film Awards Amma received the BAFTA Carl Foreman Award for Special Achievement by a writer/director.
