#007 - How to avoid being so progressive you become regressive

In this episode (originally recorded LIVE on IG), I covered: an urgent call for emotional maturity so that we can stop making other people responsible for how we feel about ourselves, others, and the world around us (and how this shows up in the entitled culture that has its arms wrapped around us today)......why we cannot FORCE ourselves and other people to care about every issue that presents itself (this is not sustainable), the limitations of over-identifying with any political stance, confirmation bias, cultish observations, the pressure to PICK A SIDE, being so progressive you become regressive (and accidentally racist, oops!)...In this episode I also had the pleasure of engaging with someone who reminded of why I HAD to leave what I refer to as ‘The Cult of Wokeness’ (you can read my open letter here if haven’t already) - it was educational and highlighted all the points I brought into the conversation which was very interesting....& MORERemember: as a self-aware adult (YOU) - I trust that you will filter this through your own self-awareness. Not everything is for you, and that is OK. Take what you need, and respectfully leave the rest. I also urge you to listen to the entire conversation before jumping to conclusions or reacting prematurely.SHARE, SUBSCRIBE, & LEAVE A REVIEW

#006 - Pressure to speak on social issues, being offended (Pt 2),cancel creativity

In this episode (originally recorded LIVE on IG) , I covered: why I refuse to shut up about self-responsibility, the problem with expecting all spaces to be ‘safe’- and how this has created a culture of safety that continues to act against itself (whilst annoying the general population along the way)......why you don’t owe strangers on the internet proof that you’re a ‘good’ person (because who the fuck gets to decide that!?), why speaking up on demand (frantically sharing all infographics that come your way) can cause more harm for those you’re supposedly ‘speaking up’ for, why the creative industry is suffering because of cancel culture...some practical steps on responding instead of reacting, more thoughts on the psychology of getting offended...& MORERemember: as a self-aware adult (YOU) - I trust that you will filter this through your own self-awareness. Not everything is for you, and that is OK. Take what you need, and respectfully leave the rest. I also urge you to listen to the entire conversation before jumping to conclusions or reacting prematurely.

#005 - Dare to be cancelled, cult dynamics, seeking new perspectives

In this episode (originally recorded LIVE on IG) , I covered: the person I got so fucking wrong who I now deeply appreciate- Jordan B Peterson. I also explored why we need to stop waiting to be told how to think, feel, and react, different aspects of misrepresentation and the process o , knee-jerk assigning of labels (racist, white supremacist, transphobic, misogynist etc)...  some practical steps to breaking out of echo chambers, the psychological resistance that comes with engaging with new ideas (feeling like you’re betraying the movement/cause/ideology), committing to NOT being self-righteous, why labelling EVERYTHING as ‘woke’ or ‘alt-right’ doesn’t get us anywhere...  ...& MORE  Remember: as a self-aware adult (YOU) - I trust that you will filter this through your own self-awareness. Not everything is for you, and that is OK. Take what you need, and respectfully leave the rest. I also urge you to listen to the entire conversation before jumping to conclusions or reacting prematurely.

#004 - Media manipulation, ‘race wars', the art of questioning EVERY FUCKING THING

In this episode (originally recorded LIVE on IG) , I covered: the ‘taboo’ conversations we need to be willing to have around race, identity, and tribalism if we don’t want to continue fuelling division and collective sabotage...the role the media plays in manipulating our emotional responses, why the ‘black experience’ doesn’t look the same for every person racialised as black, Luther’s jerk patty (it’ll make sense once you listen, HA!), facing the fact that WE ALL HAVE IMPLICIT BIAS, why we need to be willing to address reality instead of ignoring it out of fear (aka self-censorship), why me speaking up isn’t BRAVE, it’s common sense......and MORE!Remember: as a self-aware adult (YOU) - I trust that you will filter this through your own self-awareness. Not everything is for you, and that is OK. Take what you need, and respectfully leave the rest. I also urge you to listen to the entire conversation before jumping to conclusions or reacting prematurely.Without communication, all we have left is division- and let me tell you, keeping us divided is LUCRATIVE AS F**K.

#003 - Apologising to the mob, misplaced outrage, the cost of denying reality

In this episode (originally recorded LIVE on IG) I covered: why the assertion that ‘cancel culture doesn’t exist’ is hands down one of the most sinister things I’ve heard in recent years (collective gaslighting at best, and that’s not a word I use lightly)......the importance of moving out of binary thinking (either or, pro vs anti, with us or against us, good vs bad etc), overvaluing your digital self over your offline self, my thoughts on why it’s impossible to give an acceptable apology to an online mob......the entitlement and underlying narcissism that presents itself when we demand the world view us in the way we view ourselves (NOT talking about basic human rights here so don’t even...), why being against freedom of speech is fucking bizarre, the differences between mindful speech and self-censorship, cultivating the courage to speak up...and MORE!Remember: as a self-aware adult (YOU) - I trust that you will filter this through your own self-awareness. Not everything is for you, and that is OK. Take what you need, and respectfully leave the rest. I also urge to listen to the entire conversation before jumping to conclusions or reacting prematurely.

#002 - So, you’re offended? Now what...

In this episode (originally recorded LIVE on IG) I covered: why self-responsibility (the antidote to victimhood) is not a dirty word, the importance of not allowing the projection of others to erode your self-trust...⁣⁣...why strengthening your self-awareness ultimately benefits the collective, why you don’t have to play the dehumanisation game, the AUDACIOUS LIE that cancel culture doesn’t exist, the mental health crisis caused by self-censorship, using your voice even when it’s unpopular to do so...and MORE!⁣⁣Remember: as a self-aware adult (YOU) - I trust that you will filter this through your own self-awareness. Not everything is for you, and that is OK. Take what you need, and respectfully leave the rest. I also urge to listen to the entire conversation before jumping to conclusions or reacting prematurely.

#001 - Fear of cancellation, obsession with identity politics, dangers of self-censorship - w/ Rukiat

This is hands down one of the best conversations I've had publicly. I sat down with Sex Educator, thinker, and friend- Rukiat (@iamrukiat) , and we covered it ALL! This audio is from a LIVE we did on Instagram so you will hear us referring to the comments at some points and you'll also hear me putting on the kettle somewhere in there (because...TEA), but I urge you to listen all the way through, I know this episode will be expansive for many of you.
