Andy Curtain helped create the comedy scene in China and recently brought Dean to tour multiple cities as part of his KUNG FU KOMEDY brand. Andy explains going from the business world in Melbourne, Australia to stumbling into creating a stand up comedy scene in China, first as a performer but eventually as a producer who now runs his own successful comedy club and running Live Nation's comedy promotions in Asia. Sharon Wilkins is an artist that won't be constrained to one box or medium. She's acted in multiple shows on Broadway. She's done television shows and commercials. She's shared the silver screen with Hollywood Heavyweights Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and J-Lo in "BAD BOYS 2" and "MADE IN MANHATTAN". Don Barnhart is a comic's comic with over 30 years in the business. He's seen it all and has stories about every one of those years. He was one of the first Kats from Def Comedy Jam that made me fall over laughing. I recall rewinding his bits on VHS amazed at how creative and funny and physical he was. The World Champion had no cable tv in his youth, but his Dad taught him to always question authority and introduced him to Lenny Bruce albums while his mother introduced him to art. He explains his fascination with race issues and injustices in high school, Chardy the Redneck & the most 'Gangsta' representation of The Ghostbusters ever. Judah also takes us on his road from film school to being cast on the hit series, "30 ROCK", and he explains how a shows budget can trump ratings in television. Then he elaborates on how Ben Stiller booked him for both "MEET THE PARENTS" and "ZOOLANDER" and how he developed THE WORLD CHAMPION. We in the Building, son!

Judah Friedlander is not just a comedian. He’s 'THE WORLD CHAMPION', holding titles in too many fields to mention. Simply calling Judah a ‘Master’ would understate his gifts. He’s also a New Yorker’s New Yorker who cares about mankind/his community. In this first conversation with Dean on #TFP, he shares his honest feelings about NYC becoming less artistic, gentrification and reminisces on the New York comedy scene when he first arrived here, back in the '87. They both excitedly reflect on legendary street performers Albert, Master Lee, THE KING OF THE PARK, CHARLIE BARNETT, Dave Chappelle & others who performed in Greenwich Village's famed Washington Square Park in the late 80’s & 90’s. "SHUT UP, STUPID!" It’s always a blast when Dean's comic friends come through, and this is one of the funniest. Keith "Pudgum" Robinson has been a comedian since the Reagan era. He began performing in his bedroom in the projects of South Philly and along the way he's always focused on 'making his own way'. When opportunities were denied, he and his Comedy Express created their own breaks. From Black rooms in Philly, to rooming with Wanda Sykes and even thinking that Sinbad and Jay Leno were beneath him when he first began, Keith has seen a lot. He's also helped and mentored many comics when they first began, from Kevin Hart to Big Jay Oakerson and even Dean himself. He joins Dean in the living room to give him a good bashing as they reminisce on their history from Dean's Mount Rushmore of weddings to discovering gray hair at Patrice O'neal's cookout. Every stand-up wants to record a comedy special. Dean was supposed to submit his set to his manager and the production company 2 months ago. Somehow, Ron Jeremy, Lisa Ann and porn became a prevalent topic that evening as well as for the duration of the entire weekend for Dean. Gina Brillon is a talented comedian/actress. She was gigging at sea with Dean. she also becomes our FIRST FEMALE guest on TFP. And what an interesting episode it is. We get to know what it's like to pursue a career that requires you to be in front of people...while experiencing a strong amount of social anxiety. Gina also shares how her passion towards Stand Up from her early teens up until now has informed her dedication and respect towards becoming the best comedian that she can be. And finally, Dean asks Gina about some of the issues and prejudices that a female comedian might face in comparison to their male counterparts. We Are in The Building, son!

Comedian/producer/writer/actor/director/husband, Royale Watkins joins Dean in the All Things Comedy studios to talk about his journey in life and comedy. Watkins recounts how he danced in talent shows in D.C., aimed an M-16 at a racist Lance Corporal while serving in Desert Storm, and carried a gun onstage during the Def Comedy Jam tour. He shares insight that he picked up from being on NBC's fast track that led to his own sitcom. His do-it-yourself determination has helped him create & maintain his successful "MIXTAPE COMEDY SHOW", which he's produced monthly for almost 7 years strong. Sydney is driven to succeed and has the talent to continue making his dreams a reality, even as an outspoken advocate for people with "Regular Bodies". Between Ian Edwards, Chris Spencer, Dean and even Kev Hart, he's had some stern mentors in comedy who always pushed him to focus and work harder. Dean finally visits the All Things Comedy studios in Hollywood, so it’s only fitting that his guest is part of the All Things Comedy family. Ian Edwards is one of your favorite comedians', favorite comedians. Many comedians are funny, but the list of those garnering the respect of the industry at large and their peers, is small by comparison. Ian Edwards is both. Still on the high seas, and continuing with #TFP's ROAD WARRIOR SESSIONS, Dean sits down with the resident host of his shows at sea, The Teddy Bear of Comedy, Milwaukee's own James Ervin Berry. James shares the story of how divine intervention helped direct him to finding his calling as a comedian and how he quit pursuing his dream, only to have another spiritual epiphany which he fortunately paid attention to. James then enlightens Dean on his method on approaching the business aspect of Comedy and his intention to perform in a wide range of venues to maintain his universal appeal. The two then continue the discussion Dean began last week with Pete Correale about comics critiquing Kev (Hart) for using a cadre of writers as opposed to strictly self written material and James' perspective is an interesting opinion in favor of utilizing, and employing a team of writers/friends. While on the high seas, Dean sits down with comedian/co-headliner & good buddy, Pete Correale to reminisce about when they first began gigging on NYC's comedy scene. First Pete walks us through the process of writing his own sitcom and what having a network sitcom deal truly entails. Then he takes Dean down memory lane and shares some of his favorite stories that were born out of the hallowed ground of Greenwich Village, NYC that was The Boston Comedy Club. From smoking with the "HALF BAKED" duo of Dave Chappelle & Jim Breuer to having to do "Black Night" at the club as a New Jack. They also discuss a current popular topic regarding stand up comedy: Comedy purists that will only perform their own material vs. comics who employ a team of writers and both vets give their individual perspectives on the subject. After making a surprise appearance in Frank Caliendo's well received "30 For 30" spoof, "UNDER THE HOODIE" which aired on ESPN during Super Bowl Sunday, Dean discloses how he and Caliendo first met reminded him of Deniro & Pacino meeting in the film, "HEAT" and how he got involved with one of Frank's already classic spoofs.
