今回はコロナの中でのカナダ入国についての記録です。やはり普段の入国とは必要書類も雰囲気も違いますね。PCR検査が必要な分お金も時間もかかりますし、観光では入国出来ないのでそこもまたいつもと違いますよね。ですがこのコロナ渦でもワーホリや留学生っぽい人が多くいたので本当に素晴らしいなぁと思いました。 This is a record of me entering Canada during Covid time. 今回はお便り回です！お便りありがとうございます。今回はエピソード#98 海外在住の「日本下げ、海外上げ」は愛国心の裏返しかもっていう話。の深掘り回？です。海外かぶれっていう言葉があったのを忘れていました。 Kaigai Kabure is the Japanese version of  "wapanese". 今回は国際問題にはつきものである苗字問題です。なんと国際結婚の場合は日本でも夫婦別姓が許されるそう。知らなかったです。しかもカナダと日本で別名にできるらしいです。すごいですよね。 Japan is a country where you have no choice but to change your last name when you are married. 今回は戸籍制度の角度からなぜカナダでは婚姻届が無いのか、紙一枚で結婚できなくて、小さくてもセレモニーが必要なのかについて話してみました。結婚式の形も大まかに２種類あって日本とは大分ルールが違うという事がわかると思います。 Did you know in Japan you can get married by submitting a signed paper to your city hall? You don't need a marriage commissioner or conduct a ceremony to be officially married. All you need is a document signed by you, your partner, and your 2 witnesses. 私は留学時代海外保険を一切使わずに過ごしました。カナダにも日本と似ているような保険証がありまして一部を除いて全額保証してくれるのでいらないのではないのかなというのが持論です。しかも大学留学は大学が良い医療保険を提供してくれますのでいよいよ海外保険はいらないと思います。 You do not need travel insurance if you are a Japanese coming to Canada to study or work. Or at least that is what I believe. 日本で学生してた時、私にとって教師は尊敬する物あっても憧れる存在ではありませんでした。ですが、カナダにきてからは「カナダでなから教師になっても良いかも。」と思える様になりました。日本の先生たちはどう考えても給料が低すぎですし、待遇が悪すぎます。もっと日本の先生方の待遇がよくなって欲しいです！ Did you know Japanese teachers are getting paid way lower but working way longer than Canadian teachers? It can cost from $2500-$3000 to just get a driver's license but there are pros to it too. You can take a concentrated course which takes only 2 weeks and get a full driver's license. I still remember it was super shocking for me as in Japan at the time, at least,  was that it was an untouchable area in terms of hair care. We did shave underarms and legs but not our private area. In Asia, we have a big mask culture, we wear it to prevent giving others sick, from allergy, and even for fashion. So it is very common to wear a mask long before this pandemic hits. I was shocked to see how wearing a mask was not a thing when I came to Canada. There were times where I wanted to wear a mask because I was not feeling well and wanting to prevent giving my sickness to others. But I always end up not wearing one because people would look at you weird. みなさま、こんにちはカナコです。今回は日本と北米の有給の違いについて語ってみました。みなさんは日本の祝日の数が世界で二位だって知ってましたか？私は知りませんでした。有給消化率、有給病欠日数など、北米とはちょっと違うけど一概に休みが少ないわけでもないかもしれない日本の有給について調べたりしてみました。日本はいっぺんに休みをとるのは難しいけどちょこちょこだったら意外といっぱい取れたり、意識の違いからくる責任感とか。余談ではありますがマスクの認識の違いなども少しかたってみたり。みなさまどうか体には気をつけて過ごしてくださいませ。 Japan is known to be a country to have the worst suicide rates in the world. also, we are known to overwork. However, I found out that Japan has the most amount of public holidays in the world.  However, they are also known to NOT use up their given vacation days compared to other developed countries. 今回はチップの話。まさか日本人がここまでチップを払わない人種だと思われているなんて。衝撃的です。どこの国に行っても日本人は礼儀正しいと言われていますがそのうち日本人はチップを払わない無礼な人種と思われ始めてもおかしくないのが現状です。ツイッターで頂いた質問など。 This is the topic I have been wanting to talk about. バンクーバーの冬をなめて風邪を引きました。ちょっとした良い話があった件。バンクーバーで人種差別はあるのか無いのか。 結果から話すと私は人種差別にあったことがあります。というか正直今でもバンクーバーから離れてアジア人がマイノリティーの地域に行くと少し怖いと思ってしまうのが現状です。バンクーバーはアジア系が多いのですごく住みやすく心地がいいです。やはり 同じ人種のほうが人間は落ち着くのですかね。 In this episode, I am talking about discrimination in Vancouver. I see a lot of Japanese people who say that they have never experienced racism in Vancouver and I WAS one of them. 第一回目の今回は2019年のヒット件数が結構多かった記事であるカナダで公認会計士になる方法を語っていこうと思います。 今回話している内容の記事はこちらから（https://mycanlife.wordpress.com/2019/09/22/howtobecomecpa/） カナダの公認会計士になるにはカナダの公認会計士協会の学校に入って指定のプログラムを終了し、テストを合格しなければならないのですが、その入学条件がなんと学資保持者と一定数の指定教科の履修。しかも学士はどこの国でもおkだそうです。なので日本の大学を卒業しているのであれば目指せる資格です。何より日本の大学を卒業したことが無駄にならないのはすごくいいですよね。 It was surprising to me that CPA acknowledges the bachelor's degree from outside of Canada.  In order to become a CPA in Canada, you need to have a bachelor's degree (in any study), some required courses and you will be allowed to enter the CPA program.
