My cousin-in-law Angie joins the podcast to open up about a very serious medical issue she faced earlier this year. When Angie started experiencing lethargy, excess bleeding during her periods, hair loss, and frequent urination, her doctors chalked it up to stress and anxiety, and she chalked it up to "being 32." All the while, she was helping her brother through a tragedy, taking over her law firm, and planning her wedding. Uterine Fibroidsaffect up to 80% of women by age 50. 25-50% of those are symptomatic. Booty Call to Bride with Rishi Mathur

We're joined by comedian Rishi Mather who kicks off the episode by sharing how he’s been navigating his parents’ disapproval of his engagement. We discuss how some couples stay together even while being unhappy because of what society would think of them if they split up, especially in Indian culture. Rishi tells us how he met his now fiancé on Tinder (we love a dating app success story!) and spent four days building up the courage to send that opening message. What started out as a booty call ended up slowly developing into a long-term situation ship, and after months of unpacking each other’s pasts and learning everything about each other, they finally made things official. We close the episode out with a few rounds of ‘Save The Date’ to determine how you can bounce back from date-ruining scenarios including screenshotting their text and accidentally sending it back to them, unexpectedly blurting out “I love you,” and the unfortunate but classic stomach-issues-at-their-place debacle.  Presented by Mindset Wellness CBD.
