We need to constantly remind ourselves to refresh the experience that we had in solitude with the Lord during coronavirus. Praying is a good way for us to practice that, to remind us that the changes we made during our solitude time can finally be enacted. We need to pray like Jesus did: "morning" - The first thing we do every day should be praying. "a great while before day" - Give yourself enough time in case of spiritual warfare. "he went out" - There are too many distractions in your room, so get away from them and get alone with God! On the other hand, as Christians we need to keep in mind that as much as some of us may want to continue to enjoy this solitude time with God to the fullest, we cannot completely remove ourselves from this sinful wicked world. The sermon outlines the cure for covid-19. 1. We need to recognize that we have sinned against God, and do not deflect the blame on any nation, but take responsibility for ourselves. Repent and spend more time worshiping God. 2. The Lord gave different commands to different people according to dispensationalism. Noah was commanded to build an ark to prove his faith and perfected by his work. For us, we are commanded to have faith in Christ and repent on our sins. We need to just follow his instructions and his words. However, people just have the tendency to despise God's words and turn our ears away from his instructions. God will not give us a burden more than what we can bear. 3. We need to understand that fulfilling God's words or command requires us to go against our flesh. Hebrews 12 states that God wants to chasten and purify us because we are the child of God. It is ourselves, and if we do not realize how wicked our flesh can be, then we are on dangerous ground. Proverbs 18:1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom. Proverbs is written by Solomon, one of the wisest men on Earth, explaining that a man through desires intermeddles with wisdom (and that's not a good word). When we are in isolation, our desire becomes more exposed, and we intermeddle, and dabble in things we should not be bothered doing. The first ingredient in JOY is Jesus first. Preach the word means that we go by the bible route and that's why the world hates us. Why aren't we like all the other people/churches? Everything that we do and practice is by the word of God. Satan has infiltrated the higher education with modernism so that it casts doubt on God through evolution, mythology, the resurrection of the dead etc. There is such a great attack on the word of God even from Genesis 1. The second ingredient of Joy is Others. The closest thing we can see to Jesus is the body of Christ is the believers and church. We are representatives of Jesus, so dress and behave well. Jesus can put up with us and live in us every day: "I know everything that is wrong about you but I still want to love you." So why can't you love the brothers and sisters? Different ages, genders, classes, nationalities are present in the church but we look at the body of Jesus Christ and we love everyone in the Lord. Encourage the brothers and sisters who are volunteering and serving through serving them, praying for them and encouraging them. The third ingredient of Joy is Yourself. When we take care (spend time) of ourselves, we will be able to love Jesus and others more. Paul knelt down and left again to the ship. In the midst of the hustle and business, he took the time to fall on his knees. Satan's tactic in the Laodicean machine is to keep you moving, instead of stopping and falling on your knees. There are several points on why you should fall on your knees in the bible: 1) Kneel in private- It doesn't matter how much effort you put on your part, if God is not in the middle of all the tasks that you are trying to achieve. You need to stop and fall on your knees and take some time with God. 2) Kneel to provide service - You need to provide service for others, it's not about you but is about others, be humble. Don’t let your flesh make the choices for you. You have the power of choice and willpower in you, but if you don’t, temptations will conquer you, suffering will overcome you, you will miss out on blessings. God is not a Calvinist – “Oh God, I cannot overcome this temptation. It’s because you didn’t help me.” Don’t sit and wait for God to do something. That’s a wrong mindset.
