About the episode: Described as the worst massacre Cape Town and the country had ever experienced, in 2003, 9 innocent men lost their lives in a brutal and heart wrenching manner. The police would arrive at the unsuspecting Seapoint property to find not only the radio blasting the lyrics…   Life is too short to have sorrow. You may be here today and gone tomorrow…”   …but that the inside the house on 7 Graham road resembled a blood bath. Copious amounts of blood pooled on the floors, splattered the walls and even the ceilings. The area would later be described as having the stench of petrol, blood and death hanging in the air. Episode 6: Nightmare in Paradise - Ashley Oosthuizen’s Story

Welcome to the Episode 6 of Murder & Mayhem: South African True Crime. About the episode: What started off as an adventure, turned into a nightmare for one young woman in Thailand. Ashley Oosthuizen has been condemned to life imprisonment (25 years in Thailand) for a crime she did not commit and for which there is no evidence other than a signed parcel addressed to another person. Unlike the majority of the cases I have covered so far, this one is ongoing RIGHT now and YOU can play a major role in helping. After stumbling upon this case, I reached out to the friends & family behind the Facebook page: A Voice for Ashley Oosthuizen and after communication, they agreed that an episode on her story might help in spreading awareness.
