My mom had a massive stroke at 65 in 2001 and then developed Parkinson's Disease 10 years later. My dad was diagnosed with frontal temporal dementia in 2016. After caring for them for almost 20 years, I decided that this was not how I wanted to age so I started searching for different approaches to health. What I discovered is a treasure trove of endless holistic ways to approach our health and well-being that is better for us and the planet. It is proactive instead of reactive. It is taking care of our whole being, not just treating what is causing us pain. We have to look at our relationships, stress levels, work, family life, the whole kit n kaboodle as well as our nutrition and exercise. This is whole health living.
