The site works to help the rest of the world understand what people are thinking and doing to effect change in China. Reports and translations on China Change have been cited by the New York Times, Time magazine, the Guardian, the Telegraph, the Washington Post, the New Republic magazine (to name a few) and Congressional reports. Ms. Cao grew up in northern China during the Cultural Revolution and studied literature in the US. She lives in Washington, DC.

Andréa Worden, J.D., M.A., is an avid winter sports fan and former professional ski instructor.  She is also a human rights advocate, translator and writer, whose work focuses primarily on the PRC party-state’s interactions with the UN human rights mechanisms. New York Times reporter Kurt Streeter joins Patrick McEnroe on the Peng Shuai situationKurt Streeter- New York TimesKurt Streeter writes the Sports of The Times column. He has a particular interest in the connection between sports and broader society, especially regarding issues of race, gender and social justice. Before coming to The Times in 2017, he was a senior writer for ESPN. He was also a general assignment reporter at The Baltimore Sun and spent 15 years at The Los Angeles Times, where he wrote about everything from crime to transportation to religion, and was a columnist. A former athlete, in younger days Streeter played tennis at U.C. Berkeley and was world-ranked by the ATP Tour for three years. He lives on the West Coast. 

Captain Corey Ray from the National War College Joins Patrick with an analysis and some strategic logic through the lens of sports on the Peng Shuai situation. Captain Corey W. Ray joined the National War College  faculty in 2016.  He is a 1991 graduate of Walla Walla College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.  He was commissioned through Aviation Officer Candidate School, designated a Naval Flight Officer in 1992, and qualified as a Tactical Coordinator (TACCO) in the P-3C Orion.  Following initial P-3 training at VP-31, CAPT Ray was assigned to VP-47.  Follow on sea tours include DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER, VPU-2 and VP-47.  Command tours include VPU-2 supporting sustained combat operations from forward operating bases in Afghanistan and Horn of Africa and Patrol and reconnaissance Wing 57/CTF-57 in Bahrain supporting OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE. CAPT Ray’s shore and staff assignments include instructor duty at VP-30, Weapons and Tactics Instructor at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center, Action Officer at OPNAV N3 directorate, N3 at Task Force 72 in Japan, and CENTCOM Desk Officer at the National Reconnaissance Office.  He also served on The Joint Staff in Washington, D.C. in the Directorate for C4 and Cyber (J-6). He attended the Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy where he earned a Master’s Degree in National Resource Strategy.  His awards include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (one individual action with combat distinguishing device and 4 strike/flight), Navy Commendation Medals (2 with combat distinguishing device), and various campaign and unit awards.  He is married to Cheryl Ray of Hayward, California.  They have one son, Cameron.
