Heart of the Matter

English, Education, 1 seasons, 23 episodes, 4 hours 15 minutes
If you’re really exhausted wishing you could get a grip on your feelings and make decisions without being scared that you might make the wrong one, then this might be the podcast for you.    I was in India many moons ago, wishing I had the emotional strength and willpower to leave an unhealthy relationship. I remember being curled up in a ball, tears running off my face, and soaking the mattress where my face was mashed into.  I wished I had someone like me to help me understand why taking that step and getting out was so hard. I was young, and I didn’t want to die miserably. But I was scared that I might make the wrong move.  I was emotionally strong. I was smart and had a successful journalism career. It made logical sense to leave. But I couldn’t get my mind and emotions to believe what my logic knew. That was because I didn’t understand how my past experiences affected my present feeling and decisions.    I had to learn the connection between my body and mind before I could change anything to get the kind of life and relationship I wanted.    ✅ I studied psychology ✅ I learned about attachment styles ✅ I learned how my past experiences triggered emotions ✅ I learned how cultural and traditional beliefs influence our feelings and decisions ✅ I learned that empathy is the tool for emotional freedom ✅ I learned what they meant when they said, “set boundaries,” and it’s not what we think it means.    I made a conscious decision to work on becoming free of hurt, anger, and fear decades ago. I wanted to be detached from everything and everyone so that I could love unconditionally. That will make more sense as you listen to this podcast ( if you choose to subscribe ? ).    And I did exactly what I set out to do so many years ago.    I have never felt more in control of my life and free. And I will teach you everything I have learned here. So, if you want to free yourself from every time someone says or does something hurtful, join me on this journey. Of course, you are more than encouraged to invite your friends and family who may want to come along to free themselves too.    You can also follow me on TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, and Facebook. ?   What do I do?    Most people know what they want but don’t know how to get it. That’s because they don’t know who they are as yet. I dig deep and get to know them because everyone is different, and when I get to know them, I know how to help them to get what they want.      What do I call myself?    I am a Humanologist, which means that I study the science of why people act and think the way they do.    What makes my heart sing?   Nothing makes me happier than seeing hope in a person’s eyes after they realize they can be okay again after their heart has been broken.      Why   Nothing breaks my heart more than knowing someone feels alone, unwanted, or not good enough.    What do I lead people to?   I believe the bottom line of true happiness and success lies in how we feel about ourselves, how we feel in our relationships, and what legacy we want to leave for our children.

🔒 A New Chapter

Subscriber-only episodeWhen we start a healing journey, it's good to ask for support from others. They can help us in many ways, like giving us support and motivation. However, we need to appreciate who we can turn to.Starting a healing journey can be exciting but also tough. Having support from others can make a big difference. They can give us support and encouragement, and help us when things get difficult. That being said, we need to know how to ask for what we need, instead of taking advice that may not be in alignment with our wants and needs. It's also important to think about how they may feel when we start to change on our healing journey. Change can be hard for everyone, not just for us. Our loved ones might be used to the way things were, and our growth might disturb that. So, it is important to be compassionate and kind.By considering
