I don't know about you but in my life I'd had moments where I felt like God was NOWHERE to be found. I didn't feel Him anywhere, I didn't really see Him working or moving, and shame about decisions kept me from finding out where he really was. Turns out He was never as far away as I thought. If you're feeling far from God or like He is far from you, I pray that this will give you encouragement and a fresh perspective.

Sharing something the Lord has put on my heart and that I'm still in the middle of working out. There's no right or wrong when it comes to what God is showing us, it's just personal and I love that we get to have a relationship with a Creator who lovingly challenges us and helps us to heal and grow and move from glory to glory.

Guilt says, “I did something bad.” Shame says, “I’M bad.” Guilt says, “I made a mistake.” Shame says, “I AM a mistake.” I lost 10 years of my life buying into the lie of shame. We've all had those season of life, maybe you're in one now, where you simply can't seem to find time to be with God. Maybe it's because you're slammed with work or school or motherhood. Maybe you just need more discipline or better time management. Maybe you're distracting yourself because you know if you spend some time with God He might bring up some things you're not willing to deal with yet. Whatever the reason, I know that in every new season of life not only will our life look different, but the time we spend with Him might look different too. I'm sharing my struggles balancing motherhood and God time in this new season and what He's been teaching and showing me.

Go to God as a first response when you have a need rather than a last resort.

Kellan and I have been doing an additional nightly devotion before bed. We find that they ease our minds and we have the most peaceful sleep. Hopefully they bring peace to you and your sleep too!

I can't believe we have a 1 year old!!! In this episode I sit down with my hubby Kellan Lutz to discuss and reflect back on our first year of parenthood, what the good and hard parts were, and what our vision going forward for our family and in raising kids is. It's just a real, raw, fun, candid conversation and I hope you enjoy!

I don't know about you but I've had many moments in life where I was so frustrated because life wasn't going my way and I didn't feel like I was "winning." But when I look back at those seasons, in every single one, I had God in the stands as a cheerleader wanting Him to cheer me on rather than as the Lord of my life submitted in everything to Him.  I pray that this encourages you!

I don't know your story but I have had quite the history with loneliness. Not simply feeling alone, a big step past that. Where I felt isolated and and tormented and as a result tried everything to fight it - except actually fight it.  My prayer is that this podcast encourages and empowers you to break free of loneliness and isolation and live the life that God has for you. 

I used to struggle badly with negative self talk and my prayer is that as you listen to this episode you pick up some and tools and weapons and feel empowered to fight the negative thoughts!

I've been spending some time reflecting on my habits, some are good but some are definitely not serving me, my life, my marriage, my family, etc. The good news is that we don't have to change those habits in our own might. I don't know about you guys but life has been HEAVY lately.  I've been feeling and dealing with not feeling like I have enough hours in the day or energy in the tank to be all I want to be and do all I want to do.  I looked up at God the other day and simply said, "This is all I have" feeling like it wasn't enough and He immediately was there saying "That's all I want."  He can do more with our little than we can do with our lot! Often the world tells us to focus on our dreams, goals, and desires if we want to achieve them. And while vision and focus on what you want is important, it’s not everything. For an example in my own life, I remember closing in on 30 years old focusing so much on my desire for a husband, only to find myself more frustrated, empty, and more without the very thing I desired. It was only when I adjusted my focus from my desire to the Giver of our my desires that He showed me exactly what needed to change in ME in order to prepare me for that desire so that I could steward it well, have it for the long hall, and ENJOY it the way God designed it. I hope this episode encourages you to stay faithful in the waiting and challenges you to look at your focus and adjust if needed. Devotion - Everyday In His Presence by Charles Stanley

Your perspective on a situation can either give you life or death.  It's not about looking at something with with ignorant optimism, but acknowledging what is right in front of you and choosing a perspective that will serve you, not take from you.  In this podcast I discuss a little more in depth what it was like losing our daughter at almost 7 months pregnant, almost losing my life while delivering her, and how I came out of what felt like one traumatic event after another better, stronger, and more confident that God is good than ever.  I hope this encourages your spirit but also challenges you to look at your perspective and take control over it so you can live your best life. 

Satisfied is NOT a word I would have used to describe majority of my single years, especially the older I got.  But I knew as much as I desired to leave the "single" club and have one of my deepest desires fulfilled by getting married, if I walked into a relationship unhealed and for the wrong reasons, I wouldn't ever be satisfied.  I had to go on a journey with God in my single years where He asked some hard questions and I had to dig in to some uncomfortable stuff. But I am SO glad I did.  As human beings we can't complete each other, we're just meant to compliment each other. God is the only One who can complete us. Doesn't mean our deepest desires go away but it does make the waiting easier, and the transition into that life long relationship all the sweeter.  Hope you enjoy this episode!

This day last year, 1/30/20, in my 7th month of pregnancy, I walked into a drs appointment SO excited to see our girl. I was practically giddy in the drs office and couldn’t wait to send my husband pictures and videos of our daughter.  Instead, I had to call him and tell him that our sweet girl was with with Jesus. Even though she was still in my body. Talk about psychological torment. The weeks that followed were rough. I was trying to wrap my head around everything that had happened. One minute I was creating a birth plan, the next I’m lucky to be alive and on birth control bc if I got pregnant again I could die. Um, what? How was this my life? I had so much invested in the “next chapter” of our lives and it was literally HERE. Until it wasn’t. I was confused. We were broken. But the one thing I did *intentionally* was try to give God EVERYTHING. Not just the things I understood or felt comfortable giving Him. Did I want to know the reasons? Ye

So often I've found myself frustrated and anxiety ridden for seemingly no reason. Only to reflect and realize how much I'm trying to get my needs met by something or someone who doesn't have the capability to meet that need. Something that could disappear tomorrow.  I think sometimes God allows us to feel unsatisfied so that we have an indicator that we need to adjust some things and remember that He is the only one who satisfies.  In this episode I share a personal story about when Kellan and I were engaged to be married and God told me to stop all communication with him.
