Welcome to the Create and Elevate HER Podcast! Hi loves! I’m Ashley. I am an ER nurse, enneagram 9, mindset & self-love enthusiast, and self help junkie! I have become obsessed with self improvement in the last 2 years. I went through a pivotal time in my life after an almost 7 year relationship ended and found myself single, 30, and just so scared of what the future had in store. I was feeling lost, confused, and lacking the self love and confidence that I knew I wanted and deserved. I began really diving into the self-help world—reading books, listening to podcasts, taking courses—which lit a fire in my soul to transform my pain into something beautiful. I began travel nursing and did much needed soul searching. I worked on my mindset, habits, and goals to transform into my best self. I have noticed the transformation in all aspects of my life such as work, health and wellness, financial, relationships, and even spiritual. I am still on that journey but I have this fire in me to share what I have learned so far and continue to share as I go! I truly believe we are in this to heal, grow, and learn together! In this podcast we will we take on the journey of creating and elevating our best self. In anything that we want to accomplish in our lives or succeed in, it all starts with the conversation between our ears. Our thoughts. Our mindset. Each weekly episode will consist of ways to shift your thinking, develop healthy habits, silence your inner critic, practice self-love and so much more! I hope to bring insight from other women and have them share their inspirational stories in these topics and how it has helped them succeed in their personal and professional lives. 47.// Focus on What Matters Most: How to Prioritize your Life as a Busy Nurse!

In this episode, I share an exercise to help prioritize the things that truly matter in our lives. By brain dumping everything we do on a weekly basis, we can identify what needs to be prioritized first and ease the anxiety of an overwhelming to-do list. I also discuss strategies from "The Perfect Week Formula" book that have given me more guidance and structure to my week, including pushing my morning routine a little later and doing the hardest thing first for 90 minutes. As nurses, it's important to have control of our time and schedule, and build our careers around our lives. I introduce the Eisenhower Matrix, which helps to prioritize non-urgent but important work. I guide listeners through the steps of pulling out a sheet of paper and writing down every task, activity, obligation, hobby, meeting, and appointment, then separating them into quadrants labeled Urgent, Not Urgent, Important, and Not Important.
