We can get stuck for all kinds of reasons, but rarely is there a way out when we put logic and reason above God’s wisdom. When we understand that His nature is constant and unchanging, His ways of thinking are designed to produce faith and trust within us. Most of us have places where we feel stuck, but we’ve mistakenly thought that all the weight is on us to become unstuck. In the Kingdom, however, the responsibility for experiences with the Truth is never with us. It’s always with God. "If all your thinking has brought you to a place you don’t like, have another thought.” Remember, we don’t become a new creation by changing our behavior. We put off the old things completely. We aren’t taking anything from our old nature into our new covenant relationship with Christ. God’s goodness and mercy completely redeems our past. Now we can be “present-future” focused in all our dealings, living fully in the present moment while eagerly anticipating what God has in store for the future. In every difficult situation we face, He simply compels us to see, think, and speak differently we learn to walk with Him in newness of life. Key Scriptures: + 2 Corinthians 5:14-21. Every situation is primarily about one thing: being made into the image of God and receiving an identity upgrade. Instead of making panicked decisions based on where we’ve come from, Christ living within us is the empowering presence that allows us to see who we are becoming and where we are headed with Him. In the perception of God, your old nature is dead. We’re learning that death to self is not an action on our part because Jesus has already accomplished this on the cross. A lens change is about embracing the truth of who we are in Christ and allowing that truth to transform our perspective, mindset, and language. Sometimes, this process can be uncomfortable. Every situation has to bend to the rule of heaven, and every negative in your life has a specific job to do. Jesus didn't come to simply patch up the old covenant. He came to replace it entirely. While the old covenant relied on sacrifices, rules, and striving for righteousness, the new covenant is all about Jesus — who perfectly fulfilled the law on our behalf. Now, our salvation is a gift, and sanctification isn't about earning it through our performance. It's about embracing our identity in Christ and growing in His likeness. Key Scriptures: + Hebrews 8:6. But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, to the extent that He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises. + Hebrew 8:13. When He said, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is about to disappear. + Romans 6:10. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all time; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. + Ephesians 4:20-24. God is determined to free us from legalism and to empower us to understand the fullness of freedom that belongs to us in Christ. The heart of God is to see us unbound, completely free able to explore Him and walk with Him without being subject to any rules and regulations created by man. Key Scriptures: + Romans 13:8-10. Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the Law. For this, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law. + Hebrews 6:13. Negativity can quickly become an obstacle that prevents us from seeing the goodness of God that’s always present. If negativity has taken space in your life, today is the day to break the cycle and step into a FRESH encounter with the heart of God toward you. Key Scriptures: + Romans 8:5-7. All of our learning takes place within the safety of our relationship with God. When we realize that His friendship is completely free from guilt and shame, our hearts become settled. God isn’t seeing the old you when He looks at you, because He knows that Jesus already dealt with that on the cross. This means that God is no longer dealing with your behavior. Instead, He’s focused on developing your new identity in Jesus. Key Scriptures: + Acts 4:13. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. + Colossians 3:3. In this message, we’re engaged to reflect and change our lens. Instead of having expectations of difficulty and stress in areas we need to grow, Graham reveals how our expectation can shift as we behold the truth of the new man in Jesus correctly. What before seemed like inevitable hardships and difficulty can instead be traded for Jesus’s invitation to “find rest for our souls, because His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.”Graham poses some freeing thoughts: What if God put you into Christ so that your first encounter is always with the one who has overcome the world? On our last podcast (Episode #93) we featured content from our featured challenge that was titled: The Way God Walks With Us. In these three-day challenges Graham gives wonderful teachings and insights and on the third day he typically ends with a prophetic word and then he spends time breaking down and unpacking that prophetic word for the remainder of the day. In this episode we’ll wrap up the theme of “Joy” that we’ve been on for the past few weeks. I’m featuring a prophetic word that Graham gave on Brilliant TV, our online mentorship community, about joy. Receiving truth in teaching format is very helpful. In this week’s podcast we are going to dive deeper into the idea that you aren’t stuck, just on pause. As new creations in Christ, the only thing required of us is a level of intentionality with God to ask Him what He is doing and who He wants to be for us. The Father doesn’t put any time limits on our development. He always sees things as on time. He loves our whole life, not just the long game and He never sees us as stuck. He sees our full potential and is 100% dedicated to helping us realize it. It’s incredibly easy to become distracted when we think we’re stuck. It’s even easier to look for alternative solutions and to forget that God has already seen the outcome. We can easily assume it is our job to get unstuck before anything changes. But that’s not how the Father works. So, what if you only thought you were stuck? What if you were actually experiencing an invitation from the Father to upgrade your perspective? He doesn’t see us as stuck. He only sees opportunity for growth and relationship. What is possible in a life of constant peace? If you had peace right now, what would you be seeing? What would you be saying? How would you be feeling? The truth is, Jesus is never negative; He is always positive and He is always in us. If we are in Christ, then so are all of our circumstances. He is in us, we are a habitation in Him and we can’t be separated. Heaven has a right of possession over us in Christ, giving it the right to acquire our problems and provoke God’s favor to overcome them. Rejoicing is where we match God’s purpose and intention with our own and say “‘yes and amen” to who He wants to be for us. It’s agreement and engagement with who He really is. Through rejoicing, we can see how God wants to turn everything around and make it work for our good because it empowers us to receive when we are under pressure. The key to all spirituality is majesty because it gives us a sense of who God is in everything that we do and experience. Majesty governs how we think about the Lord, our expectations of Him, and our experience of His favor in our life. By entering into majesty, we have the opportunity to become the happiest individual on the face of the earth. The key to effective learning is your ability to unlearn something you thought you knew. When we come into the Kingdom from the world, God divests us from everything the world taught us. It’s not difficult to discover the depths of God’s feelings for us. We have a home in His deepest affections and favor to remain close to Him. We can live a life of celebration, knowing that God is powerful, faithful and wonderful on our behalf by giving thanks for who He is and who we are becoming in Him. When we walk with God, peace is one of the most tangible signs of His presence. The Fruit of the Spirit is an encounter with God that leads us into an ongoing experience of who He is, creating a place for us to learn how we can abide in His nature. God is remodeling our lives by renewing us into our new man in Christ. The old you is irrelevant, useless and out-of-date, and has no power to make itself new. We have the opportunity to become a spiritual warrior that fights from the total majesty and the absolute certainty of God’s unchanging nature. Abiding is about dwelling, living and remaining in the space God has created between Jesus and Himself. Every circumstance gives us the opportunity to think brilliantly about God, ourselves, and the situation we are in. Our role in the earth is to be loved by God and then respond to that love. Rest is the tangible expression of God’s presence. When we practice it, we’ll feel His touch, hear His voice, and experience His presence in a renewed way. Victory is our starting place in the Kingdom. We don’t need to get anywhere in our situations because we are already there in Jesus, giving us a breakthrough and victory that has already been assigned to us. When God hears the world, He hears something different than we do. He listens to the longings, hunger, and cries in people’s hearts. Yet, do we hear the desperation and the cries of wounded people?
