In a busy week for the emerging game, Nepal hosts PNG and Malaysia in a tri-series, Tim shares some personnel news from Vanuatu, Nigeria and Oman both hold multi-nation women's tournaments, the Ireland Wolves take on Namibia A in Windhoek, and the Netherlands travel to New Zealand for their Cricket World Cup Super League series.

Tim and Nick are back to review the recently-concluded Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series where hosts UAE picked up 3 wins against the inconsistent Nepal, and strugglers PNG. The pair also discuss the ongoing GCC Women's tournament in Oman, as well as Namibia's domestic Richelieu franchise series and the Ireland Wolves development tour.

With Bes still busy working the women's world cup, Tim and Nick wrap the recently concluded Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series in the UAE involving the hosts and Namibia and Oman. They also look ahead to the next series (now underway) with UAE, Nepal and PNG. Then the news of Michael Rippon's selection for the Dutch team in New Zealand prompts Tim to reminisce about a potential repeat of an incident from 1995. 

The trio are back together and start with a look at the ongoing CWCL2 tri-series in the UAE. Then it's time to take stock of the European Cricket League as it approaches its finals week, before moving on to discuss the MCC's changes to the Laws announced this week.

Gyanendra Malla is named skipper of Nepal and Tim wishes/hopes/predicts a victory for Hong Kong.

Tim, Bertus and Jay look at the two knockout matches left; four teams - two World Cup places on offer. Scotland has won the toss and batted in the afternoon game. And Hong Kong, who finished 4th in Group B, take on Oman in the evening game

In two Hong Kong stories broken at Emerging Cricket last week by Tim Cutler, the boys meet to discuss Anshuman Rath's quest to crack Indian cricket, as well as the revolt within the national team, leaving their T20 World Cup Qualifier campaign in disarray before a ball is bowled. After Tim gives us his pearls of Hong Kong wisdom, we turn our attention the Asia Cup U19s where UAE, Nepal and Kuwait all competed. Finally the boys look at Nepal in depth, discussing the new EPL TV rights deal, ICC meetings and the globe-trotting Sandeep Lamichhane.

The Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier draw has been released so the team dissects the group match ups and makes their predictions for the UAE hosted event which runs from 18 OCT - 2 NOV. Bermuda correspondent Neil Joynson (@OpeningStatsman) joins the podcast (in his Bermuda shorts) from the North Atlantic island to give us his perspective on the recent T20WC Qualifiers there and how he thinks the team will fare in the global T20 World Cup qualifier. With more countries taking advantage of universal T20 International status the challenge of maintaining accurate stats from all these events - who aren't all necessarily using Cricinfo - is also talked about, as the the Continental Cup finished up with the Austrian team taking home the winner's trophy.

Part 2 of our huge show this week. The boys look at Namibia's emphatic T20 series win over Botswana, and the bans of Hong Kong brothers Irfan and Nadeem Ahmed for life and Haseeb Amjad's five-year sit out. The trio also make their predictions for the Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier, where the Thailand looks to continue their meteoric rise in the game. In part one of a bumper show this week, the boys discuss the Americas Qualifier for the T20 World Cup, where Bermuda upstaged a more-fancied American side to steal a Global Qualifier spot, with Canada finishing in top spot. ESPN Cricinfo's Peter Della Penna stops by to give his thoughts from being on hand in Bermuda, in a snippet of his chat with us (our full conversation with him is coming soon so stay tuned).  

Another cracker of a show where Nick, Tim and Bes start proceedings by conducting a post-mortem of the dead 2019 Euro T20 Slam. The team then wraps the first tri-series of Cricket World Cup League 2 between Scotland, Oman and PNG, where Scotland and Oman both claimed three wins from their four matches. We also hear from Kyle Coetzer to give us his thoughts on the series. The group then look to the Women's T20 World Cup global qualifier in Scotland, where two of the eight competing teams will qualify for Australia 2020. The trio also wrap a T20I series between Spain and Finland, where the Spaniards claimed a 2-1 win in Kerava.  

The boys are joined by Hong Kong captain Anshy Rath and Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer as they discuss the goings on in Canada where both played in the Global T20 in Brampton. We talk to Kyle as he prepares for their home tri-series with Oman and PNG this week and get Anshy's prediction, before we discuss the Americas men's T20 World Cup qualifier and the Everest Premier League, which has been moved to February and March, and both players have played in. Bes then rounds up the show with news, including Thailand's World Record effort and their quad series win over Scotland, Ireland and the Netherlands, as well as the cancellation of the Euro T20 Slam.

We also hear from French women's captain Emmanuelle Brelivet after their quadrangular series win, as well as EC contributor and Bermuda correspondent, Neil Joynson, who paints a picture of Cup Match festivities there on the island.

We talk about the ICC’s decision to suspend Zimbabwe cricket, its effect on the sport in the nation, and globally   The Euro T20 Slam squads are dissected, and again, the team bemoans the lack of Associate overseas players.  Our GT20 Canada previews covers off the teams and the challenges at a new facility in Brampton.  And what was once described as the ‘jewel in the crown’ of HK Cricket, then HK T20 Blitz is set to be axed.  We also speak to Mexico Cricket Association Secretary Craig White about their ongoing process to have the sport appointed as a 'federation' within Mexico which will then cricket better access to government support and facilities across the country.

In a bumper episode, we cover the sensational events in Japan where the PNG U19 team forfeited their last match, Afghanistan's winless World Cup, the T20 World Cup Europe Finals and the upcoming Netherlands v Zimbabwe ODI & T20I series. We also speak to Japan head coach Dhugal Beddingfield after the country qualified for its first global ICC event after the Sano-hosted East Asia Pacific U19 Qualifier. 

Nick (@HeliocentCric) speaks with Craig White (@YourManInMexico) who is secretary of the Mexico Cricket Association. He talks about developing cricket in the country, the time Fred Trueman played in Mexico, and the work that went into organising the recent Central American Championships, where Belize, Costa Rica, Panama and the MCC travelled to Reforma Athletic Club. Both men's and women's events were run concurrently.

The team looks at the all-ODI Cricket World Cup League 2 draw and the CPL draft. Rashid Khan looks to be triple booked. There have been ICC Women's Qualifiers completed in Africa and East Asia Pacific, and the men's Africa T20 World Cup Qualifier has started in Uganda. The Central American Championship were played in Mexico last month and Ireland & Scotland are both hosting some full member fixtures, including a match against England that Ireland could've won. ...and Bes has another rant about Delhi not picking Sandeep.

We continue our series of chats to those growing cricket in the sport's new world with Daniel Beswick (@dgbeswick1) speaking to Denis Musali, Head of Digital Communications of Cricket Uganda. Denis represented Uganda at two U19 World Cups, playing against a golden age of youth international cricketers, with many taking part at the upcoming Cricket World Cup. While bemoaning the smaller 2019 World Cup, Denis discusses the state of Ugandan cricket and shares stories of playing some of the world's best for his country. He also passes his judgement of the current men's U19s and the Women's senior team, who both narrowly missed out on qualification for the U19s World Cup and the T20/CWC World Qualifiers respectively. Finally, Denis previews the Men's Africa T20 World Cup Qualifier, which is being hosted in his home country. This is not one to miss, with Denis a fantastic guest with some incredible stories and knowledge to share!

We wrap the last day of consequential action from Windhoek, and what a day it was! PNG came from a seemingly insurmountable position to qualify, thanks to a huge win over Oman and an obdurate finish from USA against their neighbours to the north, denying Canada ODI status by four runs.

From the balcony of Wanderers, the team review the World Cricket League Division Two action after four of five completed rounds where Oman and USA have secured ODI status and their spots in Cricket World Cup League 2. There is a four-way fight for the last two berths; Namibia has a win and NRR advantage over Hong Kong, Canada and PNG - all three sides on a solitary victory. The last round sees all sides in the top half up against those in the danger zone of the bottom three, setting up a blockbuster last day of the round-robin on Friday to decide the final two team to earn ODI status.

Canada, Hong Kong, Oman, PNG, USA and the hosts will fight out for the final four places in the ICC's new all-ODI "Cricket World Cup League 2". The bottom two will slot into the new CWCQ Challenge League. Hear the team's take on each of the teams and the players to look out for as well as everyone's final placings predictions.

We digest the shock sacking of Afghanistan's longstanding skipper Asghar Afghan (form. Stanikzai). We try to solve the case of the disappearing Kenya T20 tournament. There's a lot of women's cricket happening in Africa as Namibia hosts Botswana - and Kenya & Zimbabwe play the Lady Cricket Cranes in Uganda. La Manga hosts the Scottish men and women for a joint training tour as well as an Estonia, Malta, Spain T20 series. We also touch on the NZ-Asia indoor champs in Singapore.
