Mark was born in Cape Town, South Africa and at age 7 started playing the guitar after being inspired by watching his uncle play. Mark's love of music inspired him to learn not just the guitar but also the drums, trumpet and harmonica and while at school he played in several different school bands. In 2010, Mark went to the US and while at Disney world, after some encouragement from his wife, he entered 'The American Idol Experience' a shortened day-long version of the television show, which he won. Jay Anstey started her career at the very young of 3 when she began doing voice-overs for TV and radio. It was in 2011 when Jay landed a leading role in local soapie “Isidingo” playing Charlie Holmes. It was also in the same year she played the lead role in “Sleepers Wake” a local feature film that gained international recognition at festivals such as TIFF and BIFF. In 2014 Jay won an award for “Best Actress in South Africa” at the IIFFSA. She is currently in pre-production to play the lead in a Cape Town feature film based on a South African novel.
