About The Sin Committee
Info over The Sin Committee Metalfanatix … I wouldn’t be surprised to see a record label grab these guys for their roster. 3voor12vpro With Confess the band delivers a strong album with tons of diversity and strong song-writing.     Heavymetal Heaven.. an impressive piece of work that The Sin Committee offers Metal Territory… one hopes that they sign the right deal, which, on this evidence is just around the corner. Raymon van Vught, guitarist of The Sin Committee, has reason to be happy: “We had pretty high expectations of our new EP, but the end-result has honestly surpassed our expectations”. The new EP of The Sin Committee, titled “Confess”, saw the light in March 2009 and was recorded at Toneshed Recording Studio with the help of producer Erwin Hermsen. “We wanted a professional sound and after a long search we fortunately found Erwin. He has lots of experience with metal bands and I think the final result definitely shows”, vocalist Joris explains. While The Sin Committee finds it difficult to put their music in a single category, there are of course points of reference. “We draw our inspiration from many bands, but if I’d have to name influences, bands such as Tool, Opeth and System of a Down come to mind. These are all bands that fall under the broad category of progressive metal”, bass player Willem explains. In the music of the Sin Committee this progressive element emerges clearly in the structure and dynamics of the songs. Vocalist Joris: “We like to create contrasts. One moment we use clean vocals, harmonizing guitar and bass melodies and the next moment a wall of sound emerges with grunts, killer riffs and massive drums". The band members all share the same ambition: to bring the Sin Committee to the next level. In other words, more gigs and more media exposure. Drummer Victor: “We all want the same, we are highly motivated and have a clear view of the band’s direction. We view the new EP as the beginning of a new phase for the band. If it is up to us, 2009 will be the year of The Sin Committee”.www.thesincommittee.comwww.myspace.com/thesincommittee
