About
Welcome to The True Crime Enthusiast Podcast, which started off life as a weekly written blog in 2016, and has now made the jump into a weekly one man and his mic, matter of fact straight talking podcast. In it, the host Paul looks at and recounts in-depth true crime cases from the UK and Ireland - solved or unsolved crimes, but more often than not the lesser known and obscure ones. TTCE's Series 8 - In Review

Ahead of the upcoming Series 9 of the show, I sat down and waxed lyrical about the series I've just completed, a brief summary of each, how and why I choose the tales I do, and what to look out for in the upcoming Series 9. Couldn't do any of it without yourselves - you're the best in the world, and I thank you. Stay enthusiastic, me and the Peaks shall be back with you soon. Paul (TTCE)

Crimecon 2022 - Behind The Mic (Podcaster's Roundtable)

Happy to share this for International Podcast Day - bit of a bonus.    Earlier this month, I took part in Crimecon Glasgow - a tremendous day was had by all, and one of the highlights was getting to sit down with some of the most talented, independent podcasters on the UK True Crime Podcast circuit - the likes of UK True Crime, Lady Justice Podcast, The Troubles Podcast, Murder Mile, The Cult Vault, and Twisted Britain - who I'm pleased to call friends, for us to just shoot the breeze and discuss why we do what we do.     Bob and Ali, the hosts of Twisted Britain, were kind enough to record the conversation, and have packaged it here for us to share. I hope that you enjoy it as much as we did, and I look forward to taking part in more like it.    Speak soon all. Paul (TTCE)

TTCE's Series 6 - In Review

Once again, I've sat down with a spare half an hour, and have gone back through the tales that have made up Series 6 of the show, and once again like the shit DVD Extras and commentary that no one ever really listens to, have given my own thoughts and feelings, perhaps a bit of an aside here and there also, to each case we have covered this year on the regular show in a rough as a badgers arse, totally unscripted manner - even Peaks features in it. I thank you all for your very kind support this year, my favourite series to have done to date, and i look forward to seeing you very soon in 2022. All the very best wishes, stay safe out there. TTCE's Series 5 Review

As a short bonus to cap off the year, I've sat down and gone back through the tales that have made up Series 5 of the show, and like the shit DVD commentary that no one ever really listens to, have given my own thoughts and feelings, perhaps a bit of an aside here and there also, to each case we have covered this year on the regular show in a very rough and ready totally unscripted manner. TTCEP Birthday Bonus - Devil In The Doll's House

As voted for by members of the show's FB Discussion group, here is the Patreon episode available for all as it's the shows 3rd birthday. Thank you so much to every single one of you for making it happen - what a ride it's been, here's to many more - plenty more tales to come from the Enthusiast yet.  So the voted for episode, Devil In The Doll's House, is one of the Bonus Patreon episodes that I released just back at the end of July this year. It features a truly horrendous case back from the 1980's, in the town of Morecambe - a case where we learn just how close to home evil can really lurk.  The Bonus episode contains descriptions of crimes and events, including crimes against a child and descriptions of a sexual nature, that some listeners may find disturbing or upsetting, so discretion is advised whilst listening. For yet another CoronaBonus episode of The True Crime Enthusiast Podcast, you guys voted for Retribution - a tragic tale that takes place in the Scottish city of Glasgow in the late 1970's, one that brings with it a sad, yet chilling, and almost unbelieveable, story of revenge. Stay safe guys. Paul The bonus episode contains descriptions of crimes and events that some listeners may find disturbing or upsetting, so discretion is advised whilst listening.
