Unfortunately, the playing field isn't equal for Black and Brown women. That's why it's even more important for us to be able to advocate for ourselves in the workplace. We need to be more comfortable asking for access to trainings, conferences and other forms of career development.   In today's episode of Career Chasers, Latesha  shares some of her strategies on how you can make the asks of your employer that will help not only show your current value, but what value your development will bring to the table for your company in the future.

Stop me if you've heard this before: After writing a fire blog post or delivering a bomb presentation, your coworker comes up to you in the breakroom and says, "Wow, you were so articulate!" Or, "I didn't know you could write so well!"   Despite the prefix, microaggressions aren't so small.
