About Demian Richardson
Demian Richardson, a native of New York, is a classically-trained trumpet player. He started playing trumpet at the age of eight and attended New England Conservatory of Music. Since then he has been in demand as a jazz instrumentalist and has been touring, recording and performing in jazz, blues, soul, hardcore and hip-hop settings. He has performed with many distinguished artists, including Cecil Taylor, Ornette Coleman, Jimmy Giuffre, Joe Maneri, Ran Blake, Allen Ginsberg, Lester Bowie, Philip Wilson, William Parker, Daniel Carter, Ed Schuller, John Blum, Dennis Charles, and the band Fishbone.
