Rerelease - Susan Saurman - Pt 2 of 2 - Her Father Murdered Her Mother

This story was first published a couple years back. I re-released it because it's just so full of helpful information. Susan Saurman is a survivor on several levels. Abused by her father when she was young, she also needed to heal from the day he murdered her dear mother. This is part two of a two-part story that spans decades. Susan has not let anything deter her from her mission to use her family's tragedy to help others. My admiration for Susan is immense. We continue to stay in touch and we support each other. Susan's book, "The Courage I Learned ", is on Amazon. Susan is a survivor who has helped thousands of victims to become survivors. NOTE: If you are a survivor and want to share your story of abuse on the WHEN DATING HURTS Podcast, please email me: [email protected] The WHEN DATING HURTS book (paperback, eBook, and audiobook) can only be found on Amazon. Rerelease - Lisa Waldon Pt 2 of 2 - The Most Horrific Marital Abuse

The two episodes in this story come with content warnings. This is part two. You may find when listening to this story that the content is too intense for you. If that becomes the case, I strongly urge you: do not continue listening. The descriptions tell of the intense emotional and physical abuse a husband put upon his wife.   I thought many times about whether to publish this story, but I promised myself years ago that listeners deserved the option of knowing about the worst of dating and domestic violence without looking away.   Lisa Clayton is a hero in real terms. She was so nice, sweet and innocent when she dated and married Josh Holden. Josh was, and remains today, a very sick-minded individual. He held no conscience or barriers in what he would do to keep Lisa in line under his thumb.    The purpose of the WHEN DATING HURTS Podcast is to inform. You will find in the episode that warning signs that were overlooked and led to the worst kinds of behavior when a relationship continues to be as unhealthy as it can get.  In this story, Lisa Clayton gets to know the real Josh Holden. You will too.   NOTE: If you are a survivor and want to share your story of abuse on the WHEN DATING HURTS Podcast, please email me: [email protected] The WHEN DATING HURTS book (paperback, eBook, and audiobook) can only be found on Amazon. Julia - Pt 3 of 3 - Argentinian Woman Speaks of Abuse by American Man

This is part three of a three-part story. Julia is an Argentinian woman. As a child, she dreamt of coming to the US to further her education and experience all she had seen on TV and read in books. He path was to become a hard-working au pair as a way to financially make ends meet. She also loved children of all ages. For a while, everything fell into place. She tried dating sites and met American men. One stood out as a man she could imagine marrying one day. He took his time before he showed his true self. That's when his control tactics kicked in and everything went horribly wrong. You will see how easily we can become duped by a narcissist — no matter where in the world we come from. They are practiced individuals who take their time to get to know us before they strike. Julia's story has taken three episodes to tell properly. It's a powerful narrative to share with high school and college students. "Sabrina" - Pt 2 of 3 - "DV" Tragedy in/after College

This is part two of three parts with Sabrina.   She met him in her freshman year of college. He was a senior. Was it love at first sight? Maybe for her. Not for him. Jake had other ideas. This story is meant for parents with daughters in, or soon entering, college. It should be a time when they begin to take off in life and learn to find their way. But it be a time when they display their innocence and are easy prey for predators.Sabrina was a trusting young woman who put her life in the hands of a man who knew how to manipulate her until she had no power at all. The more she gave the more he took.We ask ourselves how these kinds of toxic/dangerous relationships take hold. We ask why a smart person doesn't just pick up and leave. This story will explain this from the POV of someone who still cannot understand how she had this happen to her.   This is Sabrina's story.   NOTE:   If you want to share your story of abuse on the         WHEN DATING HURTS Podcast, email me: [email protected] you for listening to our podcast,                Bill Mitchell                 WhenDatingHurts.com- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Thanks to my wonderful sponsors.            When you purchase any of these products, a portion the    sales helps us keep this podcast running.BlendJet                • Use my special link: zen.ai/WhenDatingHurts12  to        SAVE 12%  at blendjet.com.          The discount will be applied at checkout!Cure Hydration                Try Cure today and feel the difference for yourself!                • Use my link: https://zen.ai/WhenDatingHurts1 for          20% OFF your order, coupon activated at check out!Nom Nom                Try Nom Nom today, go to trynom.com/whendatinghurts and GET 50% OFF your first order plus free shipping.

Taylor - Pt 2 of 2 - She Never Should Have Dated Him

This is part two of a two-part story. Taylor is a 39-year-old survivor from northern New York. She is two years with no contact from her emotionally abusive ex-partner.    The only way she was able to escape was by educating herself about these types of individuals, and she thinks it’s important to reinforce the gut feelings that most of us feel when we first get involved.Taylor felt sorry for her ex-partner and let her empathy overpower her intuition. She has learned much since leaving this man and truly feels like she is a completely different person now.She has boundaries, self-love, and self-respect once again. She says, “Leaving was the hardest thing I have ever done, and I truly feel that if I did not leave correctly I would have been murdered.”    The final straw was when he used intimidation as well as stalking. He showed who he truly was at the end, but she also showed him who she truly was by never giving in.Taylor: “I’m so incredibly grateful for podcasts like yours. It’s two years later and I still think of him daily. These types of people are imbedded into our psyches. The knowledge (WHEN DATING HURTS) passes along is invaluable and definitely keeps me headed in the only safe direction which is far away from him. Thank you so very much.”   Listen to Taylor’s story and watch as the warning signs are made present—and how she disregards them. This is another cautionary tale that offers us insights into how dating and domestic violence sneaks in and take innocent people over.NOTE: If you want to share your story of abuse on the       WHEN DATING HURTS Podcast, email me: [email protected] you for listening to our podcast,              Bill Mitchell               WhenDatingHurts.com- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Thanks to my wonderful sponsors.

What An Abuser Will Tell You Pt 1 of 2

This is part one of a two-part narrative.ear on this WHEN DATING HURTS Podcast episode was created by artificial intelligence. It is not a real person's voice. The words spoken are a composite of beliefs and concepts expressed by dating and domestic abusers found within notes and interviews. They have been collected over nearly two decades. They have been combined to form complete ideas and thoughts.   The purpose of this episode is to illustrate how abusers often portray themselves as the victims. There is not one "portrait" that fits all abusers, of course. But let it be said that many never take ownership of their words or actions, and they justify any abusive and destructive behaviors.     NOTE:        If you want to share your story of abuse on the       WHEN DATING HURTS Podcast, email me: [email protected] you for listening to our podcast,         Bill Mitchell         Website: WhenDatingHurts.comContent/Trigger Warnings: domestic abuse, domestic violence, alcoholism, and graphic violence.
