God is a giver , and he blesses us with his goodness. He is so good in fact, that one of His first instructions to mankind included the command to be ‘fruitful and multiply’. The goal is not to avoid conflict; the goal is to resolve conflict. Unresolved conflicts can steal our joy. As we continue in our collection of talks on The Art of Joy, Pastor Luke Barry talks on the topic “Try Unity,” detailing how important it is to live in unity. It doesn’t mean that we need to agree with everything, but we can agree to disagree. 

It can be one of the most difficult things to move on from our past, let alone forget our past. The past is what has formed us. But in order to experience true joy we must stop looking to our past to tell us who we are and look to Jesus to remind us who we are. As we continue our collection of talks on The Art of Joy, Pastor Tim Timberlake shared with us an incredible message on what it looks like to move forward. In order for us to keep going we must keep growing. His message, “I Ain’t There Yet”, helps us reflect on what could be holding us back and what we need to move forward in the great plans God has for us. 

Over the years, much of our focus has turned away from others and toward ourselves. But the pathway to real joy is humility! As we continue in our collection of talks on The Art of Joy, Pastors Rich and DawnCheré Wilkerson share what real humility looks like in their message “Forget Yourself,” reminding us that humility is not thinking less of ourselves — it’s thinking of ourselves less. 

Can there be some good that comes out of suffering? In this message, Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr., implores us to rejoice and speak life even in our suffering. Our faith and attitude through our suffering can spark hope in someone else. Lean into this message about the joy you can still have even in turbulent times.  Remember,  God’s basic nature is joy.

But we can always find the answer when we honor Jesus as more than enough. Remember, the center seat is always meant for the Creator himself.

Although there are days of despair and desperation that leave us feeling as if where we are is where we will remain forever, they will not.  Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr reminds us we can rest assured that regardless of what we may be facing “It’s Gonna Be Alright.” God knows our pain and is ready to shelter us in his arms. God will turn things around for our favor. In God nothing is impossible. 

Perhaps the clearest image of God we have on earth is that of the father. Jesus sacrificed heaven and descended to be a reflection of the glory of God to his people. As children of God, we too should reflect that light.   In this special Father’s Day talk, Pastor Adrian Molina reminds us of how Jesus sees us as his children, “Through the Eyes of a Father”. The powerful relationship between Jesus and his father gives us a clear picture of how Jesus sees us. Everyone feels that way at some point in life, but we need to remind ourselves that every challenge is a preparation for a blessing.   In this talk, “I Won’t Make It” Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. shows us that we are made of strengths and weaknesses like King David. All obstacles and pain we endure, are actually training and preparing us for what he has planned.
