Sisters In Conversation is hosted by Tebello Motshwane and is an extension of the Sister In Law platform. The podcast focuses on profiling women in the legal profession with the purpose of celebrating their achievements and amplifying their voices. We touch on the challenges Black women have overcome in the profession, issues of transformation and representation, and how they navigate the legal industry in general. Nothemba Jessica Sonjica was born and raised in the Eastern Cape. She obtained her law degree from the University of Fort Hare. She is an admitted attorney with right of appearance in the High Court, Supreme Court of Appeal and Constitutional Court. Nothemba is currently studying towards her Masters in Human Rights Protection and she is also an Accredited Mediator. Nompilo Nyandeni is a qualified Paralegal Practitioner, Bcom Law student and Sister in law mentee. She also holds a diploma in Public Management and Economics from the Durban University of Technology and a certificate in Labour Law from the University of Cape Town . Nompilo works as an Investigating Officer in the Labour Law Section at the Provincial Government. Nompilo has demonstrated leadership skills through her involvement in various leadership structures including the RCL. her dedication has earned her to participate in a programme called Emerging Leaders in the Public Service amongst 99 other young people across the Province. As a born-again Christian, she values excellence, integrity, honesty, respect, love, and family, and is dedicated to applying her knowledge of the law to become a representative who makes a positive impact. Dr. Radebe is a Doctor in Law, Senior Lecturer, admitted attorney of the High Court and Commissioner for the South African Law Reform Commission (SALRC). She is an agile researcher and lecturer with experience in both Public law and private law. Her doctoral studies focused on Private law, while her practical legal experience focused on public law, private law, property law and trademark prosecution.
