Love is not proud! In marriage you can either be proud or humble but it is impossible to be both. It is very difficult to have a meaningful conversation with a spouse full of pride. Pride will cause you to destroy your home, humility will help you build it. Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. We are Mending Eden

Is boasting an issue in your marriage?

Love is patient, love is kind, "IT DOES NOT ENVY". God's first requirement for love is patience, because through patience we find peace and through peace we find happiness. Satan loves to be oppisite of God, so envy is his first requirement. In the garden, envy is what he used to entice eve. Envy is wanting what someone else has. Adam and Eve were not content with all that God ha given them, they wanted more. Are you envious of your friends? Your family members? What about your spouse? Envy if unchecked can lead to murder. Envy in its purest form is evil and the only way to overcome evil is with good. So if you are an envious person, I would advise you to seek God for guidance and to help you uncover what part about your life makes you so unhappy that you want someone else's. Next congratulate them and find a way to be happy for them. Also, focus on purpose. By going after the purpose that God has given you, you will not have time to worry about what someone else has because you will be too busy full filling your mission. Discipline is hard but after a while a habit forms and what was once hard is now easy. God gives us all the ability to decide to have a successful marriage.
