Why Should I Forgive?Matthew 6:9-15, Genesis 13:1-10 There are people who will hold out on others because of a hurt or an offense which they suffered from another person. Admittedly, when we have been hurt by someone it is not easy to forgive and move on. Some things are really painful and difficult to overcome. Nevertheless, the word of God teaches that we must forgive if we want to be forgiven by God (Matthew 6:14-15). If you are facing a situation where you are finding it almost impossible to forgive another person, remember forgiveness is not for the offender, but for you who was offended. You are the only one feeling the emotional pain of unforgiveness.Finally, the spirit of unforgiveness comes from the devil, he is the one who uses it as one of his deadly weapons. There are Consequences for any type of Abuse! We will find people in every organization, group, family, whatever the setting who hold power. Some receive a position because of association, family, trade or by whatever means. The problem with some of those who hold power is that they abuse their authority even though they have power. An individual may have power, but limited or no authority to exceed their power. Still, some would even dare to do so. They are in the church community, principalities, rulers, in high places, in all areas of government, family, and the work place. The problem at times is that those who do not understand the use of power, and even if they do, will blatantly abuse their boundaries. Let us bring to mind a few who are listed in the Bible:*Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel 3-4. This man abused his power and in the end, he paid for it by humility and his acknowledgement of the only One and True God Who has ALL power.*Jehoram who killed his brothers and paid the price for his murderous behaviour, II Chronicles 21:1-4 - God saw his evil deeds.*Herod thought he could kill all the babies in his attempt to kill Jesus. Even as an adult, Herod planned to kill Jesus (Luke 13). Herod really thought himself to be mighty and powerful. While he spoke, God's vengeance was upon him (Acts 12:21-23).So, you have power to act in any way you choose, and to abuse anyone whom you desire to harm. God is watching, and He has a day to respond to all those who abuse their power and authority. We are Being Kept by God Jude 1:24-25, Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.Psalm 121:5, “The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.” Jude speaks to the believer reminding him that God is his keeper, and He is the only One Who can keep us from falling. God does this in multiple ways, even when we think that life has disappointed us, it may well be God’s mighty hand protecting us from something which might be harmful whether in the long or short run. How do we arrive at such a place whereby God will be pleased with our efforts? What do we need to do? Surely, God requires some effort from us with all the inherent abilities which He has given to mankind. No one can say that He does not know how to at least begin to understand God’s desire because He has made this plain through the Commandments given us (Exodus 20). This includes multiple precepts and directives which are valuable for life and godliness (I Peter 1:3). While we try to keep ourselves practically, we need God’s help through the Holy Spirit to live a life which is pleasing unto Him through sanctification (Romans 12:1-2). God's Plan for Your Life Satan's plan is to destroy anyone he chooses who will allow him into his or her life. What he does is to destroy the individual and moves on to the next prey, I Peter 5:8. A System of Hate and Destruction Job 41; Isaiah 27 The Bible speaks of an unknown creature in Job 41 called the leviathan. Its structure is made up of scales which are tightly compacted so that nothing can penetrate them. In comparison, this vicious world organized system is so well-planned that only God can destroy it [Isaiah 27]. This group of elites which spreads itself in all areas of life; the church, world governments, regions, nations, and whatever and wherever it finds access, will move in and take over. It is a well-organized destructive and hateful system. It is a vicious and voracious spirit which controls the lives of those who yield themselves to its allurements: power, wealth, greed, pride, godlessness, hate and all manner of evils. THE DESTRUCTIVE SPIRIT OF PRIDE Proverbs 16:18 “Pride goes before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Obadiah 1 Pride is one of the most despicable and destructive sins mankind has ever known. It is displayed in presumptuousness, with lack of concern regarding how it affects others or the outcome which it brings. Pride is extremely costly to the one who has been enchanted by its spells and who has been captured by its powers. There is no question, pride will eventually lead to devastating results because it gives a false sense of security of being invincible. The individual displays intense resentment, unwarranted anger, and bitterness towards the object of his hate and animosities. Pride is extremely dangerous and destructive, with deadly outcomes because it has no power to deliver even its own servants. One of the weaknesses of pride is that the individual is eaten up with anger and bitterness so that he cannot forgive, or help the weaknesses which pride brings with it. Moreover, pride is a spirit which defiles the individual, and those who are involved with that person (Hebrews 12:15). MISTAKES PARENTS MAKE A child's behaviour is the reflection of the structure of the family life, the culture, and principles, and the moral and Christian values which they use to govern their attitudes and behaviours. Children learn from the home environment what they see in their parents. Admittedly, they also learn from their surroundings which are part of their natural upbringing. Those learning experiences are significant to their moral and spiritual development. The atmospheric backgrounds and life exposures in which children are allowed to be active and creative will be the guiding principles as they develop and grow. This will be their chart for making all kinds of life-fulfilment and life-changing decisions. Therefore, if the learning experiences are negative and unproductive, the result will be obstruction or destruction to their progress and success in life. THE COST OF TRUE DISCIPLESHIP Luke 9:23 And he said to (them) all, If any (man) will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Mark 10:17-22 Following the Lord Jesus Christ means self-denial. We cannot love the world, riches and other situations and faithfully serve the Lord. There has to be a change from the things of the world, and the sins which easily beset our lives. Jesus told the disciples and the rich young ruler, that they must make a conscious decision concerning their desire to follow Him. The same instruction rings true today that if we are to be true believers in Christ.  We cannot love the world and the Lord Jesus at the same time. There has to be a separation which indicates self-denial and bearing the cross even as Christ did for us. Another very important point is that we must surrender our wills to God. It means turning our lives over  to Him as living sacrifice, which is what He desires of us (Romans 12:1-2). We will not make it any other way, but the way of the cross. If we are going to follow the Lord, we must put Him first, otherwise our efforts will be in vain. We have to give up the old lifestyle to please the Lord. God requires obedience, faithfulness, honesty, reliability, sincerity and so many other qualities which are produced through the working of the Holy Spirit and grace. GOD BRIDGED THE GAP THROUGH JESUS CHRIST The story in this text reminds us that God is constantly watching over us, and He pays attention to what we do, and the motive behind our actions. Although Cornelius was a Gentile, he helped those who were not of his ethnicity. There is but one God [Ephesians 4], Who made one people - the human race, but with different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. GOD WILL NOT SHARE HIS PRESENCE WITH BAAL Isaiah 42:8 I [am] the LORD: that [is] my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. We must remove the contrary things which clutter our lives and prevent the presence of God. God is holy, and His desire is that His people live lives which are acceptable unto Him according to His word. God will never share His presence with the idols of Baal, whatever those might be. If our lives are filled with sinfulness, and all kinds of contrary thoughts and behaviour the presence of God will most certainly depart as He did to King Saul. To maintain a life which is pleasing to God means we must live holy unto Him. Whatever things which are spiritually offensive to our God will block His presence from us. This is time for repentance and to make the departure from habitual sins and turn to a life of sanctification and holiness. Immediately after the people repented and chose God to be their God, the rain fell, and the drought ended so that seeds could grow again. TO BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT What does it mean to be filled with the Spirit? How do we know that we are filled with the Spirit? Is it speaking in tongues? Is it being able to pray loudly, more, or longer? Is in our giving, church attendance, doing good works? To be filled with the Spirit, is evident in the kind of life which we live. In Acts 2:4, the people spoke as the Spirit directed them. Everyone, whatever the ministry, must be controlled by the Spirit; otherwise, that person is working in the flesh. Being filled with the Spirit is a continuous daily experience through submission, meditation, worship, and praises to our King. Christians should never use the term "tomorrow is not promised" because we do have a tomorrow. Temporarily or naturally, tomorrow depends on God. Permanently or eternally, tomorrow depends on each person. If you receive Jesus Christ in your heart and repent from your sins, you do have a tomorrow which you live and hope for. The Bible tells us that God made man and gave him authority in the Garden of Eden to take charge of His creation (See Genesis 1-2). Later, God saw that man was alone and needed companionship, someone with whom he could relate (Genesis 2:18, 21-25). God's intention for the couple was that they would be [one] through the union of marriage. With this in mind, we can assume that their relationship was for permanence, companionship, intimacy, communication, and procreation. This was the beginning of the family system; an institution made up of a woman and a man. This system was one of the strongest of human social formation. Having this great strength, we wonder what has happened through generations to make it one of the weakest structures in this millennium? There are groups who no longer consider God's plan to be of value, and for this reason men are excluded from "family" leaving many children with absentee fathers. Domestic abuse occurs when one individual in an intimate relationship tries to control the other person. The perpetrator uses fear and intimidation; and may threaten to use or may actually use physical violence. Domestic abuse often escalates from threats and verbal abuse to physical violence. I will add adultery to this definition since the symptoms are similar to the after-effects of physical abuse. The incidence of domestic violence has become one of the most prevalent crimes against women causing some to lose their lives. Although a small percentage of men do experience domestic violence, statistics have shown that women are the most reported victims. Domestic violence occurs in all cultures. However, we should all ask ourselves, why we do go to church. God sees our hearts, and from the Scriptures we are not always sincere or honest when we go into His presence (Isaiah 29:13). The purpose for going to church may not be godly; but only for a show. Let us pay attention to the gifts we give to God, whether it is ourselves or our substance. He is not looking at the gift so much as the heart which gives it. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE The is the first seminar on this topic. Domestic abuse is not only in the marital relationship or among adults. There are teens who experience this abuse on their bodies and emotions. Ephesians 5:25, 28 ‘Husbands love your wives, even as Christ loved the church, and gave himself for it;” - “…men ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.” Colossians 3:17-21 “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” “Wives submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.” “Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. What is DV? Any type of behavior emotional, verbal, or physical, which is inflicted by one person on to another. How do we categorize DV? This can be in three forms: sexual psychological/emotional physical Guidelines on Maintaining a Peaceful Life Do not allow culture to guide you in the way you treat each other If you love yourself, you will not hurt each other. Serving one another as Christ serves the church. This admonition is not a personal choice, but the admonition and direction by God. Submission to each other is part of serving and fulfilling God’s Word • Do not provoke each other • Respect each other • Show the fruit if the Spirit • Common courtesy to each other • Be examples to your children • Do not manipulate each, or take each other for granted • Stop window shopping. Dealing with Interpersonal Problems- reconciliation If you believe that there is a problem in a relationship even if you cannot identify the situation, you should first pray for revelation so that you do not judge. In the Body of Christ, we must endeavour to always maintain unity of the Spirit according to the word (Ephesians 4:3). Informing the individual will be first step for creating an atmosphere of unity in the relationship, family, group or church. Sometimes, there is really a problem where someone, maybe you committed an offense, and this infraction caused a break in the relationship. It is important to choose the right time and place for discussion, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide and direct your steps in finding out if there has been a problem. Matthew 18:15-17; Matthew 5: 23-24. In both Scriptures you, are instructed to approach the other person. Reconciliation requires obedience to the word of God and His standards for maintaining fellowship; and expressing love and compassion toward the other individual. Not only do we see these instructions in the New Testament, but also in the Old Testament [Leviticus 5:15-18; Numbers 5:5-8]. If you are at fault, or whoever is at fault, acknowledge this with honesty without blaming others for your mistake or behaviour. It is very important to acknowledge the wrong or fault before trying to fix the problem [James 5:16; I John 1:9]. It would be worthwhile to show sincere sorrow and repentance when you are at fault [Psalm 51:16-17; II Corinthians 7:9-10]. When you have both discussed the matter, the next step is forgiveness because reconciliation cannot take place before forgiveness is sought and given. This must be from the heart with a desire for the offender not to repeat the behaviour, or the offended not to mention it again to cause pain. When you have caused or someone has hurt you, do not pretend that nothing happened and hide your feelings in your heart. This behaviour is deceptive, and you will be held captive in bondage of unforgiveness. Do not coerce the other individual to accept your forgiveness if he or she refuses to do so. Nevertheless, you have the Christian duty to forgive even if the other person professes the same belief. You are not the judge. Therefore, leave all into the hands of the Lord. Turn to Almighty God Who is able to save you and give you a tomorrow [Proverbs 29:11]. A future which is sure and attainable. There is nothing in this world on which you can hope or place any confidence with the expectation that you will gain dividends. At the end of it all you will join Solomon and say: “Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 1:2, 2-18. All your plans may only turn out to be “vanity and vexation of spirit.” Ecclesiastes 1:14b. At the end of your weariness and emptiness, you will realize you have lived a wasted life. Text: Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: (it is) the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Hebrews 10:29, “Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under-foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?” The short answer to “What is grace” is that it is God’s unmerited favour. To leave with this answer would not be sufficient for this powerful and essential quality to the Christian life. Sunday Worship April 3, 2022 Song: What a Friend We Have in Jesus Text: Psalm 34:19, "Many [are] the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all." God is with us in every area and situation of our lives. Storms will come, but they are not from God. God sends the rain, but Satan sends the storms to cause anxiety, destruction and pain. You may say that Jesus calmed the storms. This is an indication that God does not send storms otherwise, Jesus would not have rebuked the one which rose up at sea (Mark 4:37ff). Storms come from the forces of darkness which Jesus pointed out in Luke 10:18. Satan is the author of confusion; but our God will deliver us out of them all [Psalm 34:19]. When Satan sends storms the aim is to steal your joy, kill your hopes, and destroy what you have (John 10:10). We will have storms in our lives, but God is always near us to calm the storms which come into our lives [Psalm 34:19]. Trust in God if you are in a storm. Know that He is able to do the impossible when you are in the midst of a storm: relationship, financial, family; whatever the storms maybe, just trust in the living Saviour Who will never let you down. Satan sends storms; but God sends rains! Put your trust in Him and allow His wisdom to direct your path [Proverbs 3:5-6]. God will never fail you. Esther 1-7 Hymn: How Great Thou Art Sunday January 9, 2022 Obtaining God’s Favour There are times when we find ourselves with some great situations requiring God’s immediate intervention. Despite how grave our need, there are ways in which we must approach His presence to gain His attention. Esther had a serious need where she and her people were about to be slaughtered. She approached the king for help, but she had to prepare herself to obtain His favour. Similarly, when we need God to move on our behalf, we must seek His favour. Nehemiah, Daniel, Ezra, and Esther all had to humble themselves with fasting and prayer. If we need God to help us for whatever reason, we must approach Him in earnest with supplication and prayer. And the Lord Saw it…  Isaiah 59:14-16 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. God is watching everything that goes on in the world. Nothing escapes His eyes. When you are asleep, He is awake. He knows all the plans, plots, hopes, and dreams. God is All-Mighty and can do anything at any time. Be reminded that God is All-Powerful. He has a set time when He will speak. Be encouraged that God does not fail, even when He seems to be complacent...He is not! God gives us time to repent. God is merciful and kind, patient and compassionate. It is not difficult to notice that this word is evident in all areas of life today; regardless of the position, beliefs, or interests of many people. The deceiver is out there, and he is having a great time. What is so sad is that many do not acknowledge or even care to think that they are being deceived; they accept each act carte blanche without question: similar to a blank cheque – you spend without discretion. Indeed, Jesus said, "And he spoke a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? Shall they not both fall into the ditch?” (Luke 6:39). Seemingly, some people do not care, or they are just oblivious of what is evident around them. Truly, there are some very blind people who are leading others whose eyes are just as darkened as their own. “Can the blind lead the blind? Sunday September 19, 2021 Who is the Object of Your Worship? God desires us to worship Him only, and no other gods. Scriptures: Ezekiel Chapters 8 and 9; Exodus 20:1-4 John 4:24; Matthew 22:37 God is moved to jealousy when we go after other gods because we provoke Him to anger. Idolatry leads to judgement. Ezekiel Chapters 8 and 9 Idol worshipping is against God, and He will judge those who violate His will, and break His laws. After blatant disobedience and lack of repentance, comes judgement. He has made it plain in the Commandments that He is the only true God Whom we should worship (Mark 12:29-30). When people turn away from God to idols, the consequences will be felt. Nevertheless, God is merciful and if there is repentance, He will forgive. Judgement will surely come to those who forsake God’s laws and choose other teachings. This is evident in the entire world which is filled with immoralities and godlessness. It is time for repentance. Ezekiel 8 reveals the act of idolatry, while Chapter 9 speaks of the judgement of God. It may seem that God condones the sins of mankind, but He does not. Instead, He gives time for repentance because He does not want anyone to perish (II Peter 3:9). Sin causes mankind to disobey God’s Commandment and He will judge those sinners who refuse to repent. Idol worshipping is evident in every place, and this is indeed an indictment on nations and the entire world. Idolatry is worship of the devil whose end is the lake of fire. Mankind has an opportunity to make the choice while here on earth, whom they will serve. Why not turn unto the Lord today for pardon and forgiveness. Begin to serve the true and only God in Spirit and in truth. Sunday September 5, 2021 Keep on Praying I John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. There are times when we pray constantly and earnestly for something, but seemingly our prayers go unheard by God. Is this really so? Does it seems that your prayers are in vain? It may seem that way sometimes. However, God hears every prayer when this is ignited by faith. Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith (it is) impossible to please (him): for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” 1. God is a Miracle Worker The story of Peter is a great of example for those who are at the point of giving up on life when circumstances do not go their way. Even though we cannot reach them, prayer can, if we faithfully intercede for them. As you listen to the program, say a prayer for those who maybe be too distressed to cry out to God for themselves. There are people who not believe in the Holy Bible. For them, this book is outdated and no longer adequate for their enlightened mind [whatever this might mean]; therefore they disregard its teachings. The Bible is true and relevant because everything we have read has either been fulfilled or will take place. Paul prophesied in II Timothy 3:1-9 concerning the attitudes of people who profess to be "born again" but their behaviours depict something completely different. This is happening as you read. We could also look at the prophecies of Jesus in Matthew 24. He reminds us that what we are seeing today in the church and society are no different from that which took place during the time of Noah. Happening as you read. It is time for the church to get ready and be purified. Those who are preaching and teaching Apostasy through humanism, are committing spiritual treason, and will surely answer at the Judgment for the final review (Revelation 20:11-15).  If you do not know Christ, or if you have been misled about the Bible, then it is time to repent and seek forgiveness  for your sins. To those who have never accepted the Lord Jesus Christ, today is your day to turn your life over to Him and be Born again (John 3). God told us in His Word that we should worship Him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24). Therefore, we should not be worshipping idols which are evidence of satanic control. What is your object of worship? People worship all manner of things other than God. They will acknowledge a belief, a group, party, person, or an idea. However, if you are not worshipping  God, then you have chosen to acknowledge an object which you fear. When Nebuchadnezzar set up the golden image, his aim was for everyone to be like him, by worshipping what he loves; his own god: or else! If anyone disobeyed, the fiery furnace was the outcome. True worshippers give thanks to Almighty God, Who reigns supreme above all other gods. He is the one to fear, He is the one to worship, He is the one to follow.  Will you bow down and pay homage to satanic ungodly agents or yield to threats and demands? Is your God or god whom you are worshipping able to deliver you from oppressors? Who is more powerful Satan or the Holy God? Whom do you fear? The story in Daniel 3 proves that God Almighty is Supreme and He rules over the vilest and the most wicked men who set themselves up as gods. The three Hebrew boys did not argue, but stated their firm belief in a God Who would not fail them (Daniel 3:16-18). Will you stand up for God against  satanic forces  with the evil which they dispel? Who is more powerful; the gods you serve or the Most Holy God - the King of Glory (Psalm 24)? Have you bowed to the golden image? There are times when God seems to disappear and watches us to see what we will do in a time of oppression. Who is your God? How powerful is he? Corrupt Power is Destructive and Causes Pain The program presents two leaders who ruled with an iron fist. King Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4, 5); and King Herod (Acts 12). Both men murdered and hurt the innocent and helpless. David warned against corrupt leadership in II Samuel 23:1-3, advice which every leader should pay heed. God sees all that is done in the name of leadership with the influence of power, and He will reward everyone who hurts those who are helpless  at the hands of corrupt leadership. Corrupt leaders work under the influence of satanic powers and they are led by him and his demons. It does not matter where the leadership resides: from the highest to lowest; church, corporation, in the home, or in government; God will certainly judge any ungodly leader who uses power inappropriately to cause distress and pain. In contrast to these two destructive leaders, Jesus was the perfect example of leadership. He did not only used power appropriately, but He shared power with those whom He led (Luke 10:19; Matthew 28:19-20). Regardless of how the power was gained; whether honestly or stolen; only the power of the Holy Spirit will last. At the judgment, everyone will give account for what was done in this life (Revelation 20:11-15); and there will be no escape. God keeps a book of records, and it will be from that log He will read out what each individual has done in this life to determine where each person will spend eternity. If you miss the first resurrection, you will be in this massive crowd standing at the Great White Throne of Judgment.  Are you prepared to meet the Lord? How is your leadership role? How are you using your power? Are people afraid to speak up? Are people being muzzled because they may lose their job or even their lives? What kind of leadership are you presenting to the people whom you lead? The Final Review: Revelation 20:11-15 There is a day coming for all mankind, when each person will have to give an account of all he or she did while upon the face of this earth.  This will be the last review of your life when you stand before the Great White Throne (Revelation 20:11-15) to answer to your deeds: whether good or evil.  You have today to give your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ and receive Him as your personal Saviour, Redeemer, and Lord of your life (John 3:16-17). It is not the will of God for the sinner to die in sin (Ezekiel 33:11). God is merciful, and no matter what you have done, where you have been, God will receive the penitent who truly repents and turns to the him. After this natural death, there is a day of judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Many ministers refrain from telling you that sin will separate you eternally from God. They pat you down with "peaches and cream" to make you feel good because they are lost and no longer feel the fire of God in their lives. It is better to hear now and repent, than to hear "depart from me I knew you not" (Matthew 7:23) from Jesus. You have an opportunity to receive Jesus Christ today, and to turn from sinning and live pleasing unto Him. Job 41; Isaiah 27:1; Ephesians 6:12 The entire world is engrossed in a darkness which mankind has never known since the beginning of time. This evil has infiltrated itself in all areas both inside and outside of the church, government offices, schools, organizations and anywhere there is an opening. Satan has disfigured the minds of people so that they no longer think intelligently; but rather, their thoughts are only to do evil at his command. Job 41 describes the power and force of this evil which has taken over the world which no ordinary weapon can defeat. It will take a direct intervention from God to defeat this type of gigantic force against mankind. Still, God has a remedy, and He is the only One Who can and Who will defeat this terrible demonic intrusion against His people, and the nations (Isaiah 27:1). Be reminded that this is not a flesh and blood situation; it is all demonic and it must be fought with spiritual weapons (Ephesians 6:12-18).  People of God, it is time to rise up and recognize that God has all power, but we His people must be on one accord to defeat this force of darkness which has come upon us (II Chronicle 7:14). We must not be afraid, but instead work together in prayer and fasting. Surely, God will hear us and in due time, He will work. Do not be afraid, God has never lost a battle! Listen to: Prayer - The Leviathan Spirit  Psalm 37:1-7 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. [1] For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. [2] Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. [7] David said, Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. He must have had personal experience and contact through relationship with God. He must have proven Him to be true in the time of trouble to be able to say “Do not fret when you are in trouble.”  He is encouraging the reader to trust in God, cast your care upon Him, and commit all your concerns into His hands. An individual can only attest to a situation which is true if there has been personal experience. We can affirm what we have proven, seen, heard, felt, and tasted. Clearly, we can see that both David and John knew what they were talking about. They knew the person to which they referred to the reader. This does not even seem like a vicarious assertion, but rather a direct Therefore when someone brings a doctrine which sounds outrageous from you already know, you should refute it without making apology. Any ideology which sounds strange or does not line up to the word of God is false.
