After Lincoln, Robert continues his trek through the rest of Nebraska. At one point, he finds a nice hiking trail off the beaten path: The Steamboat Trail. Robert discusses his time in Nebraska and how he handled the hardships of extreme heat and lack of resources. Nebraska was a different beast than Robert was used to with cornfields as far as the eye can see, which made camping difficult. Also, Robert had a tough time being swarmed and pelted by grasshoppers.
