Uni BLK is a recording artist from the south side of Chicago, calling the Midwest home. In anonymity he delivers a sound blending genres and bending minds that allows the music to define his identity in broad strokes. Uni BLK keeps his message raw, drawing on the times of growing up in a 2 bedroom home with his mother, grandmother and many cousins to the hardships of being homeless, battling with depression and even fighting multiple felony indictments. His more recent experience of a life-threatening collision which left him with barely a fighting chance of living and undergoing 3 major surgeries - one being facial reconstruction -has become inspiration to dig deep inside once more. Uni BLK has spent his recovery writing, recording and mixing his music with a mission to use his voice to give listeners worldwide a reason to truly live.  BLK is an acronym which stands for BeLoved Kin, using "Uni" as his first name this combination is designed to remind us that we are ALL one family. Together, Uni BLK is a moniker you can get behind. His hopes are to join in unison with the voice in everyone’s mind and heart to push them to keep going and never become discouraged for you are loved.
