J.S. Bach - Vom Himmel kam der Engel Schar, BWV 607 (Christmas Chorale Prelude)
Christmas Chorale Prelude by J.S. Bach. 'From Heaven came the host of angels' is the English translation of this Chorale Prelude. One of the more technically challenging pieces in the Orgelbüchlein, or "Little Organ Book". Note how the sweeping scalic semiquaver accompaniment represents the flight of angels.
Théodore Dubois - Toccata in G major (Toccata en sol majeur)
Composed by French organist and composer Théodore Dubois, Toccata in G, no.3 from Douze Pièces pour Orgue (Twelve Pieces for Organ) is arguably one of the most famous pieces ever written for the organ.
Buxtehude - Canzonetta in D minor, BuxWV 168
Buxtehude is a prominent 17th century organist and composer. He is also known for his influence on a number of composers, in particular Johann Sebastian Bach. Bach greatly admired Buxtehude, and once walked for 250 miles just to hear him play. If you like this video please subscribe to us on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/c/TheOrganPianist
Brahms - Prelude in G minor, WoO 10
Brahms may not be best known for his organ works, but he was in fact an organist himself, and composed some stunning music for the organ, including this Prelude in G minor, from WoO 10.
