The newcomer-band Stylish Kids In The Riot was founded during a train ride from Bolzano to Meran-City in February 2010. It was Alessio Posar’s (guitar) and Francesco Sartorel’s (drums) idea; Sasha Vergolini joined the two young musicians and Theo Durante (vocals and bass) did so shortly afterwards. Now The Stylish (that’s how the band is called sometimes because of pure convenience) were ready to get down to business and started their musical activity by playing Indierock. Their sound was influenced by British acts like The Libertines and The Babyshambles and came to life with their own songs as a fresh mixture of Indierock and Noise elements. The Stylish were just two weeks old when they performed together on stage for the first time, but already in May 2010 Vergolini left the band for musical and organizational reasons. From this point on the band was reduced to three elements - like it is usual in the traditional Rock music – and their sound was approaching Post Punk, even if there was enough space left for other genres. Bands like The Clash, Joy Division, Bauhaus, Sonic Youth and genres like Ska, Noise, Hardcore, Punk/ Pop Punk had become the main influences. Fabio Sforza and Diego Baruffaldi (from Riff Studio and Youth Center Vintola 18) declared the band as “last punk band from Bolzano”. A little later the Stylish Kids In The Riot performed successfully at the Upload Festival and so the band was given the opportunity to play at Upload Firmian in September 2010, too. After some livegigs in Leifers’ Youth Center NoLogo, the band was taken to the studio by Carmelo Giacchino and recorded their first & stylish “You!You! EP”.
