About Peter Clarke
Peter Preston Clarke born on the 21st May 1992 is a 24 year old graduate of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He is an all round creative artiste; a rapper, singer, songwriter and performer. His hobbies are reading, basketball, travelling and meeting new people. He started out as a lover of music and recorded his first song at the age of 13. Growing up, he was mentored personally by the likes of Modenine and Terry Tha Rapman in the art of song writing and rap. In 2009, he won the GLO G-Bam Show rap battle just before heading off to the university outside Nigeria. In 2010, while still in school, he got signed to the Ikechukwu owned World Famous Akademy and released a hit single 'Amaka' on that platform. The song introduced Peter Clarke to the Nigerian music industry and to a certain level, the world. In 2013, he graduated from the university and came back to Nigeria to face his music career fully but things did not pan out due to scarce resources. In 2014, he left the label based on mutual understanding. After becoming independent, he organised an event 'Peter Clarke Live' in October 2014 to showcase his music and position his brand as a musician. He released a spoken word video called '230' early 2015 which played a major part in getting him invited to the MTVBase Masterclass and he went on to open for 2Face Idibia at the #VoteNotFight Industry Night special later that year. Peter Clarke has performed at many shows in various cities within and outside Nigeria. The most recent ones of note being - Music Meets Runway 2015, Copa Lagos 2015, Felabration 2015 - all at the end of 2015. He has also written songs for various popular artistes on the Nigerian music scene. In May 2016, Peter Preston Clarke joined Rozey Records and recently released his EP called ‘TRUTHISPETER and a Music video called 'Hate'.
