Pete Canzon is the leading jazz sax player in the Philippines. He has been in the Philippine music scene since the 70s'.  He was a member of the Batucada Band in the 70's and was on their hit album "Samba Song". Ever the travelling musician,  he has played in Japan, Singapore and Malaysia. He has also travelled to the United States and played at Bleecker St. in Greenwich mostly with Hispanic jazz bands. Although he did have a chance to perform with Stan Getz.He hooked up with Freddie Aguilar to form Freddie's "Watawat" Band. He was instrumental in creating a new sound for Freddie who was more well-known as solo acoustic guitar performer. They were able to re-invent and  update Freddie's music for over two decades into a brassy folk rock pop sound.Around 2009, Pete started experimenting with the late Dondi Ledesma, top bassist (better known as DNDI Dondi Ledesma on Mp3.com) and progressive rock artist.  After a while, Pete decided to return to his jazz roots and go solo again to perform some of his own compositions.
