Le China-Global South Project (CGSP), anciennement connu sous le nom de China Africa Project, est une organisation multimédia indépendante à but non lucratif qui se consacre à l'exploration de tous les aspects de l'engagement de la Chine en Afrique. Geraud est un analyste et un observateur des relations sino-africaines, diplômé de l'université Renmin de Chine et titulaire d'une maîtrise en développement international de l'université internationale du Japon. Il a fait des recherches sur la gestion des revenus des ressources naturelles. Auparavant, il a travaillé comme chef de projet pour une petite société minière congolaise en RDC. Géraud a dirigé le développement de la carte interactive du CGSP (disponible sur le site web du CGSP) des mines de cuivre et de cobalt de la RDC afin d'accroître la transparence de la chaîne d'approvisionnement minière.
For the 7th Episode of the Project Umoja Podcast, we have the pleasure of interviewing Géraud Neema Byamungu the Francophone Africa Editor of the China-Global South Project. The China-Global South Project (CGSP), formerly known as The China Africa Project, is a non-profit independent multimedia organization dedicated to exploring every aspect of China’s engagement with Africa. Geraud is an analyst and observer of China-Africa relations who graduated from Renmin University of China and has a master’s degree in International Development from the International University of Japan. He researched natural resources revenue management. Previously, he worked as a project manager for a small Congolese mining company in DRC. Géraud led the development of the CGSP interactive map (this can be found on the CGSP website) of the DRC's copper and cobalt mines to increase transparency on the mining supply chain.

Jito previously served as a partner at Kukula Capital, a venture capital firm in southern Africa. He has also served on the board of Airtel Zambia (one of the largest telecommunications companies in Zambia and in the world as well as a range of other governance bodies in Zambia).
