Changing Our Life Lens During Challenges
Life is full of challenges that test our resilience. Our "life lens" or perspective plays a key role in how we handle adversity. By shifting our focus, we can find growth and positivity even in tough times. Practicing gratitude helps us appreciate what’s going right instead of dwelling on what’s wrong. Seeking support from uplifting people also reframes challenges as opportunities for growth. Life Notes: How to Slow Down When Everything is Fast?
In an era characterized by rapid advancements in technology and a relentless pace of life, the challenge of slowing down has become increasingly pertinent. Faster communication, instant gratification, and perpetual connectivity often lead to heightened stress and diminished well-being. To counteract this societal trend, individuals must consciously adopt strategies that facilitate a more measured approach to daily life. One effective method for achieving a slower pace is the practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness involves focusing one's attention on the present moment without judgment. Mindfulness techniques such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, or mindful walking can help individuals cultivate awareness and reduce overwhelming feelings. Dedicating time each day to these practices can foster a greater sense of calm and clarity amidst the chaos surrounding them. Prioritizing time management is crucial in creating space for slower living. This entails not only organizing tasks but also recognizing the importance of downtime. Setting boundaries around work hours and deliberately scheduling breaks allows individuals to recharge mentally and physically. Embracing simplicity by decluttering physical spaces and digital environments can alleviate distractions, enabling deeper focus on essential activities. Lastly, fostering connections with nature serves as another vital strategy for slowing down. Research indicates that spending time outdoors positively impacts mental health and promotes relaxation. Whether hiking in natural settings or enjoying a quiet moment in a park, reconnecting with nature encourages individuals to step away from their fast-paced routines and engage with their surroundings more thoughtfully. Loving Money and Having a Great Relationship with It
A healthy relationship with money is essential for financial stability and overall well-being. It involves understanding the value of money, being mindful of spending habits, and setting realistic financial goals. One key aspect of maintaining a healthy relationship with money is budgeting. Creating and sticking to a budget allows individuals to track their income and expenses, prioritize spending, and avoid unnecessary debt. Individuals can better manage their finances and work towards achieving their financial goals by developing a budgeting strategy. Having self-control when it comes to spending is crucial for a healthy relationship with money. Impulse buying and overspending can lead to financial stress and instability. Individuals can avoid debt traps by practicing restraint and making thoughtful purchasing decisions. Moreover, saving regularly is another essential component of a healthy relationship with money. Setting aside a portion of income for savings helps build an emergency fund, prepare for future expenses, and achieve long-term financial security. Developing a healthy relationship with money requires discipline, self-awareness, and long-term planning. By adopting good financial habits such as budgeting, saving regularly, and practicing self-control when spending, individuals can improve their economic well-being and achieve excellent stability in the long run. Is Marriage Really Needed?
Marriage has long been viewed as a fundamental institution in human society, often associated with love, commitment, and social stability. However, the question arises: is marriage truly necessary in contemporary society? While some argue that marriage provides essential legal and social benefits, it is increasingly evident that individuals can lead fulfilling lives and establish meaningful relationships without the formal institution of marriage. The changing dynamics of relationships in modern society suggest that emotional bonds do not require legal recognition. Many couples today choose cohabitation or long-term partnerships without entering into a marital contract. Research indicates that these alternatives can offer levels of emotional support and companionship similar to traditional marriages. Moreover, living together allows couples to experience shared responsibilities and commitments without the constraints often associated with marriage. Societal expectations surrounding marriage may perpetuate outdated norms that do not align with contemporary values. The pressure to marry can lead individuals into unions based on societal approval rather than genuine compatibility. This phenomenon often results in high divorce rates and emotional distress for those involved. Society can encourage individuals to pursue connections based on mutual respect and understanding rather than obligation by deconstructing the notion that marriage is essential for a successful relationship. While marriage has its merits within specific contexts, it is not an indispensable aspect of life for everyone. As societal norms evolve, it becomes imperative to recognize that love and commitment can flourish outside the confines of traditional marriage structures. The Art of Being Disliked and Freeing Ourselves
It is often said that being disliked by others is a natural part of life. Some may argue that the ability to be disliked is an art form. This idea can be seen in various aspects of human interaction, from personal relationships to professional settings. One key aspect of the art of being disliked is the ability to stand firm in one's beliefs and values, even in the face of opposition. This requires a strong sense of self-confidence and conviction and a willingness to accept criticism and feedback from others. Another important aspect of being disliked is maintaining composure and grace under pressure. This includes staying calm and collected in difficult situations and refraining from petty arguments or conflicts with others. In conclusion, while being disliked by others may not always be easy or pleasant, it can ultimately be a valuable learning experience. By mastering the art of being disliked, individuals can develop essential skills such as self-confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligence. Life Notes: Is Hustle Culture a Great Formula for Success?
The phenomenon known as hustle culture has gained significant traction in recent years and is characterized by an incessant drive for productivity and success. Proponents argue that this relentless pursuit of achievement is necessary for success in today's competitive landscape. They posit that the willingness to work long hours, often at the expense of personal well-being, can lead to substantial career advancement and financial rewards. However, this perspective warrants critical examination. While hustle culture may yield short-term gains, it often overlooks the importance of work-life balance and mental health. Research indicates excessive work hours can lead to burnout, anxiety, and decreased productivity (Maslach & Leiter, 2016). The glorification of constant busyness can create a toxic environment where individuals feel pressured to prioritize work over personal relationships and self-care. This raises questions about the sustainability of such a lifestyle and its long-term implications on individual well-being. The notion that relentless hustle equates to success fails to acknowledge varying definitions of achievement. Success is subjective; what constitutes fulfillment for one individual may differ dramatically for another. Some may find satisfaction in achieving professional milestones, while others prioritize personal happiness or community involvement (Seligman, 2011). Therefore, a singular focus on hustle culture risks marginalizing alternative pathways to success that emphasize holistic development rather than mere output. While hustle culture might catalyze some individuals' achievements, it is not necessarily a universal formula for success. A more nuanced approach that values balance and diverse definitions of accomplishment could foster healthier environments conducive to sustained growth and fulfillment. How to Deal with Difficult Clients Gracefully
Dealing with demanding clients can be challenging for any profession, but it is essential to maintain professionalism and composure in these situations. One key strategy in managing demanding clients is effective communication. It is vital to listen to and address the client’s concerns calmly and respectfully. Another helpful approach is to set clear boundaries and expectations from the beginning of the client relationship. By establishing guidelines for communication and behavior, both parties can understand their roles and responsibilities, which can help prevent misunderstandings or conflicts. In some cases, involving a supervisor or mediator may be necessary to help resolve disputes or issues with demanding clients. Seeking support from colleagues or mentors can provide valuable insight and guidance in navigating challenging situations. Maintaining a professional demeanor and focusing on finding solutions rather than dwelling on problems can help effectively manage demanding clients. Professionals can build stronger relationships with clients while preserving their well-being by approaching these situations with patience, empathy, and assertiveness. Life Notes: How do I Navigate my 20s?
Transitioning into one’s twenties represents a pivotal personal and professional development phase. Significant changes, including the completion of higher education, the onset of full-time employment, and the exploration of individual identity, often characterize this decade. Navigating this period requires an understanding of both external expectations and internal aspirations. It is essential to approach this decade with a balanced perspective that prioritizes self-discovery while remaining open to opportunities for growth. One crucial aspect of navigating one’s twenties is establishing clear goals. These goals should encompass various domains, including career ambitions, financial stability, and personal relationships. Setting specific, measurable objectives can provide direction amidst early adulthood’s uncertainty. Individuals should remain adaptable; the ability to reassess and modify goals in response to evolving circumstances is vital for long-term success and satisfaction. Another essential consideration is cultivating a supportive network. Building relationships with peers who share similar aspirations can foster collaboration and encouragement. Engaging with mentors—whether through formal programs or informal connections—can also provide invaluable guidance as one navigates career paths or personal challenges. Furthermore, maintaining a diverse social circle can enhance emotional resilience during this transformative time. Ultimately, navigating one’s twenties involves balancing ambition with introspection. By setting thoughtful goals and fostering meaningful connections, individuals can effectively traverse this complex landscape while laying a solid foundation for their future endeavors.Follow me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/angelydub/Follow Life in Progress on IG: https://www.instagram.com/lifeinprogressph/Follow me on Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@angelydub Hosted on Acast. Sometimes, I feel guilty living the dream life I've Always wanted
Living the dream life I have always wanted is a privilege, but only some experience. However, there are moments when I can't help but feel guilty for having everything I ever wished for. Acknowledging and reflecting on this guilt is essential to fully appreciate and make the most of the opportunities that come my way. I may feel guilty about living my dream life because of societal disparities. While I enjoy luxuries and comforts, many others struggle to meet their basic needs. This juxtaposition can create guilt and a sense of responsibility to give back and positively impact the world. Moreover, achieving my dream life may have required sacrifices or compromises. This could include prioritizing personal goals over relationships or missing out on experiences with loved ones. These trade-offs can lead to feelings of guilt for putting my desires above others. Feeling guilty about living the dream life I wanted is a normal part of the human experience. By acknowledging these feelings and using them as motivation to give back, make a difference, or show gratitude for what I have, I can continue to live authentically and purposefully. Meaning of Queer, Sexuality, Gender, and etc with Belle Rodolfo
Understanding queer, sexuality, and gender is essential in today's society as we continue to strive for inclusivity and acceptance of all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Queer theory challenges traditional notions of sexuality and gender, emphasizing the fluidity and diversity of these concepts. Queer theory posits that sexuality and gender are not fixed categories but rather exist on a spectrum. This challenges the binary understanding of male/female and homosexual/heterosexual, opening up space for individuals to explore their identities beyond societal norms. By recognizing the complexity and variability of human experiences, queer theory promotes empathy and understanding toward those who may not fit into traditional categories. Sexuality refers to an individual's sexual preferences and desires, which can vary significantly among different people. It is essential to recognize that sexuality is not limited to heterosexual or homosexual orientations but can encompass a range of identities, such as pansexual, asexual, or bisexual. By acknowledging the diversity of sexual orientations, we can create a more inclusive society that celebrates individual differences. Gender identity refers to how an individual identifies themselves regarding their gender expression. While traditionally seen as binary (male/female), gender identity is a complex interplay between biology, culture, and personal experience. Understanding that gender exists on a spectrum allows us to support individuals in expressing their true selves without fear of judgment or discrimination. In conclusion, by embracing queer theory and expanding our understanding of sexuality and gender, we can create a more inclusive society where all individuals feel accepted and valued for who they are. We must continue to educate ourselves on these topics to promote equality and respect for everyone's unique identities. Living in a foreign country can provide opportunities for cultural immersion and personal development, whether for work, education, or personal growth. Establishing a sense of community is one key factor in making a home abroad. Building relationships with locals and other expatriates can help create a support system and foster a sense of belonging in an unfamiliar environment. Participating in local events and activities can also help integrate into the new culture and connect with others. Adapting to the customs and traditions of the host country is essential for feeling at home abroad. Is Being “Hard to Get” Better at Finding Love?
Regarding finding love, various strategies may be employed to attract a potential partner. One such approach is being "hard to get," which involves creating an air of mystery and making oneself less available to the person of interest. Proponents of this approach argue that it can increase desirability and make one appear more valuable in the eyes of others. Some critics say that playing hard to get can hinder finding love. They suggest that being too aloof or unresponsive can lead to misunderstandings and miscommunication, ultimately driving potential partners away. In addition, constantly playing games and manipulating situations may not be sustainable in the long run, as genuine relationships are built on trust and authenticity. In conclusion, while being "hard to get" may initially pique someone's interest, individuals must balance maintaining their independence and showing genuine interest in forming a meaningful connection. Open communication and honesty are crucial to fostering a healthy and lasting relationship. The Importance of Negative Experiences in Life
Negative experiences in life are often seen as setbacks or obstacles we must overcome. However, these experiences are crucial in shaping our character and personal growth. They provide valuable lessons that help us navigate life with wisdom and resilience. One of the main benefits of negative experiences is that they teach us to appreciate the positive aspects of life. We learn to value the good moments even more during difficult times. This contrast allows us to develop a more profound gratitude and perspective. Negative experiences challenge us to step out of our comfort zone and face adversity head-on. They push us to grow and evolve as individuals, ultimately leading to personal development and self-discovery. Negative experiences can also foster empathy and compassion towards others who may be going through similar struggles. These shared experiences create bonds of understanding and support among individuals. In conclusion, while negative experiences may be unpleasant at the moment, they serve as essential catalysts for personal growth and emotional maturity. Embracing these challenges with an open mind can lead to profound insights and a greater appreciation for life’s journey. Not Everyone Needs to Know More About You
Privacy is a fundamental human right that should be respected and upheld in all aspects of life. In today's society, where social media platforms have become ubiquitous, there is a growing trend towards oversharing personal information. However, only some people need to know more about you. Sharing too much information can have negative consequences, such as compromising your security and privacy. It is essential to consider what personal details you disclose and to whom carefully. Not everyone has good intentions; some individuals may use your personal information maliciously. Constantly sharing intimate details about yourself can lead to feelings of vulnerability and exposure. Maintaining a sense of boundaries and protecting your mental well-being by keeping certain aspects of your life private is essential. While sharing every aspect of your life with others may be tempting, it is crucial to remember that only some people need to know more about you. By exercising discretion and caution when sharing personal information, you can protect yourself from potential harm and maintain privacy in an increasingly connected world. Travel Lessons, Scarcity Mindset, & Life. with Mimiyuhhhh
Traveling is not just about exploring new places and experiencing different cultures; it is also a great teacher of life lessons. One crucial lesson that travel teaches us is the concept of a scarcity mindset. When we are in a new place, we often have limited resources such as time, money, and energy. This scarcity mindset forces us to prioritize what is truly important and make the most of what we have. By navigating unfamiliar territories with limited resources, we learn to be more resourceful and creative in finding solutions to our problems. This skill can be applied to our daily lives as well, helping us face challenges with a more positive outlook. Travel teaches us that there is always a way to overcome obstacles if we are willing to think outside the box. Traveling exposes us to different ways of living and thinking, broadening our perspectives and challenging our assumptions. It allows us to see endless possibilities if we are open-minded and willing to embrace change. This openness to new experiences can help us break free from a scarcity mindset and adopt an abundance mentality, believing there are always opportunities waiting for us if we are willing to seek them out. Travel lessons teach us valuable skills such as resourcefulness, creativity, open-mindedness, and an abundance mentality that can significantly benefit our personal growth and development. We can confidently and optimistically navigate life’s challenges by embracing these travel lessons. Building Better Companies and Teams Remotely
In today's digital age, many companies embrace remote work to increase productivity and reduce costs. However, building better companies and teams remotely comes with its own set of challenges. Communication is vital in any organization, but it becomes even more crucial when team members are spread out across different locations. One way to ensure no effective communication is by utilizing technology tools such as video conferencing, project management software, and instant messaging platforms. These tools help bridge the gap between team members and foster collaboration. Additionally, setting clear expectations and goals for remote teams can help keep everyone on track and accountable for their work. Building a solid company culture is also essential when working remotely. Encouraging team bonding activities, recognizing employees' achievements, and promoting open communication can create a sense of belonging among remote workers. Building better companies and teams remotely requires a combination of effective communication strategies, technology tools, and a strong company culture. By implementing these best practices, organizations can thrive in the virtual workspace and achieve success with their remote teams. Dating Fatigue is Real
Dating fatigue is a natural phenomenon that many individuals experience in the modern world of romance. With the rise of dating apps and online platforms, the process of finding a suitable partner has become more accessible yet also more overwhelming. The constant swiping, messaging, and meeting new people can lead to burnout and emotional exhaustion. One major contributing factor to dating fatigue is the pressure to constantly present oneself in a favorable light and maintain engaging conversations with multiple potential partners. This can be mentally draining and lead to inadequacy or disappointment when relationships do not progress as desired. The abundance of choice in the dating pool can make it challenging for individuals to commit to one person or feel satisfied with their current relationship. The fear of missing out on better opportunities can create a sense of restlessness and dissatisfaction, perpetuating the cycle of dating fatigue. It is important for individuals experiencing dating fatigue to prioritize self-care and set boundaries in their romantic pursuits. Taking breaks from dating, seeking support from friends or professionals, and practicing mindfulness can help alleviate exhaustion and restore a sense of balance in one's love life. This may seem daunting initially, but facing our problems head-on is the only way to overcome them. It takes courage and determination to confront our issues, but it allows us to learn from them and ultimately become stronger individuals. Consistency vs Passion
Consistency and passion are contrasting yet equally essential qualities that individuals strive to embody. Consistency is the steady commitment to a task, while passion is the intense enthusiasm and love for what one does. Both qualities have their merits and can lead to success differently. Consistency is often seen as the key to achieving long-term goals. By showing up daily and putting in the work, individuals can slowly but surely progress towards their objectives. Consistent effort leads to gradual improvement and eventual mastery of a skill or task. It is the foundation upon which success is built. On the other hand, passion can be a powerful driving force that propels individuals towards their goals with fervor and excitement. When genuinely passionate about something, they are willing to go above and beyond, putting in extra hours and effort without feeling burdened. Passion fuels creativity and innovation, leading to breakthroughs that may not have been possible through sheer consistency alone. While consistency and passion have their strengths, striking a balance between them may be the key to achieving optimal results. Consistency provides stability and reliability, while passion injects energy and inspiration into one's endeavors. By combining these qualities, individuals can create a sustainable path toward success fueled by dedication and enthusiasm.FFollow me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/angelydub/Follow Life in Progress on IG: https://www.instagram.com/lifeinprogressph/Follow me on Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@angelydub Hosted on Acast. What if We are the Red Flag?
Throughout history, red flags have been used as symbols of warning or danger. However, what if we are the red flag? What if our actions and decisions are causing harm or signaling a problem that needs to be addressed? When we consider this question, it forces us to reflect on our own behavior and the impact it has on those around us. Are we being mindful of how our words and actions affect others? Are we unintentionally causing harm or perpetuating harmful systems? By examining ourselves as the potential red flag, we can take steps towards self-improvement and growth. We can strive to be more aware of our impact on others and make changes to ensure that we are not contributing to any negative outcomes. Considering the possibility that we are the red flag prompts us to engage in critical self-reflection and take responsibility for our actions. By being mindful of how we interact with others and the world around us, we can work towards creating a more positive and inclusive environment for all. I Paused to Live Better
Embracing a “slow life” can be challenging for many individuals, including myself. The constant pressure to keep up with the demands of work, social commitments, and personal responsibilities can make it difficult to slow down and truly appreciate the present moment. I find myself constantly rushing from one task to another, always thinking about what needs to be done next instead of savoring the simple joys of life. The idea of slowing down and taking time to relax, unwind, and enjoy the little things seems like a luxury that I cannot afford. However, I am beginning to realize that living life at a breakneck speed is not sustainable in the long run. Embracing a slower pace allows me to recharge my batteries, focus on what truly matters, and find peace amid chaos. While it may be a struggle at times, I am committed to incorporating more moments of slowness into my daily routine. By doing so, I hope to cultivate a greater sense of mindfulness, gratitude, and contentment in my life. Compatibility vs Your Standards in Dating
In the world of dating, individuals often struggle to find a balance between compatibility and their own personal standards. Compatibility refers to the ability of two people to get along well and have a harmonious relationship, while personal standards are the criteria that individuals use to judge potential partners. Many people believe that compatibility is the most important factor in a successful relationship. They argue that shared values, interests, and communication styles are crucial for long-term happiness. However, others argue that personal standards should not be compromised in order to achieve compatibility. It is essential for individuals to carefully consider both compatibility and their own standards when entering into a new relationship. While it is important to have common ground with a partner, it is equally important to uphold one's own values and beliefs. Finding a balance between these two factors can lead to a healthy and fulfilling relationship. While compatibility is important in dating, it should not come at the expense of one's personal standards. By carefully considering both factors, individuals can increase their chances of finding a successful and fulfilling relationship. Is it Time to Own a House?
Owning a house comes with a multitude of benefits that can greatly enhance one's quality of life. One of the most significant advantages is the sense of stability and security that comes with homeownership. Unlike renting, owning a house provides a sense of permanence and control over one's living situation. Additionally, owning a house can be a smart financial investment. Property values tend to appreciate over time, meaning that homeowners can build equity in their homes and potentially see a return on their investment when they decide to sell. Furthermore, owning a house allows individuals to customize their living space to suit their preferences and needs, whether it be through renovations or landscaping. Overall, owning a house offers numerous benefits that can improve both one's financial well-being and overall quality of life. The Most Selfless Thing is to be Selfish
In a world that often glorifies selflessness and sacrifice, it may seem counterintuitive to suggest that being selfish can be a positive thing. However, there are times when putting yourself first is not only necessary but also the most selfless act you can do.Self-care is essential for maintaining mental, emotional, and physical well-being. By prioritizing your own needs and taking care of yourself, you are better equipped to help others and contribute positively to the world around you. Neglecting your own needs in favor of constantly putting others first can lead to burnout, and resentment, and ultimately hinder your ability to truly be there for those who need you. Being selfish sometimes means setting boundaries, saying no when necessary, and taking time for yourself without feeling guilty. It means recognizing your worth and valuing your own needs just as much as you value the needs of others. In this way, being selfish can be the most selfless thing you can do. The Later Mindset is Harming Us
In today's fast-paced world, the later mindset has become all too common. We constantly put off important tasks and decisions until the last minute, believing that we work better under pressure. However, this procrastination is harming us in more ways than one. Firstly, the stress and anxiety that come with leaving things to the last minute can hurt our mental health. Constantly rushing to meet deadlines and scrambling to finish tasks can lead to burnout and decreased productivity. Secondly, by putting things off until later, we miss opportunities for growth and self-improvement. We fail to take advantage of the present moment and instead choose to delay our progress. It is time to break free from the latter mindset and prioritize our well-being and personal development. By taking action now rather than later, we can lead happier, healthier lives filled with success and fulfillment.Follow me on IG: Instagram (@angelydub)Follow Life in Progress on IG: Instagram (@lifeinprogressph)Follow me on Tiktok: Angely Dub's Creator Profile Hosted on Acast. It is important to understand that hate often stems from insecurity or fear, and responding with kindness and compassion can help diffuse the situation. Seeking Happiness is a Trap
In our relentless pursuit of happiness, we often fall into a trap of constantly seeking external sources to fulfill our desires. We believe that material possessions, relationships, or achievements will bring us lasting joy and contentment. However, the reality is that true happiness cannot be found in these fleeting moments of pleasure. The more we chase after happiness, the more it eludes us. We become trapped in a cycle of always wanting more, never satisfied with what we have. This constant craving for external validation and gratification only leads to disappointment and emptiness. Instead of seeking happiness outside ourselves, we must look within. True happiness comes from cultivating inner peace, gratitude, and self-acceptance. It is about finding contentment in the present moment and appreciating the simple joys of life. By letting go of the need to constantly seek happiness from external sources, we can break free from the trap and discover true fulfillment within ourselves. Happiness is not something to be chased after; it is something to be cultivated from within. Self- Love is Mandatory, not Optional
Elf-love is often seen as a luxury, something that we can choose to indulge in if we have the time and resources. However, I argue that self-love is not optional - it is mandatory for our overall well-being and happiness. When we love ourselves, we are better equipped to handle life's challenges and setbacks. We are more resilient, confident, and able to bounce back from difficult situations. Self-love allows us to set healthy boundaries, prioritize our needs, and make choices that align with our values. Without self-love, we risk falling into patterns of self-criticism, doubt, and low self-esteem. This can lead to mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. By prioritizing self-love and practicing self-care regularly, we can cultivate a strong sense of worthiness and inner peace. In conclusion, self-love is not a luxury - it is a necessity for living a fulfilling and joyful life. Let us make it a priority to love ourselves unconditionally every day. I Got Hurt and I Found the Root Cause
Expectation and trust are two powerful forces that can either uplift us or bring us crashing down. In my own experience, I have learned the hard way that placing too much faith in others and expecting too much from them can lead to disappointment and hurt. I trusted someone wholeheartedly, believing that they had my best interests at heart. I expected them to always be there for me, to support me through thick and thin. But when they let me down, it felt like a betrayal of the highest order. The pain of broken trust cut deep, leaving scars that may never fully heal. I realized then that expectations and trust must be tempered with caution and discernment. Blindly putting our faith in others without considering their true intentions can leave us vulnerable to heartache. It is important to strike a balance between hope and realism, understanding that not everyone will live up to our expectations or prove themselves worthy of our trust.Follow me on IG: Instagram (@angelydub) Follow Life in Progress on IG: Instagram (@lifeinprogressph) Follow me on Tiktok: Angely Dub's Creator Profile Hosted on Acast. How Do I Date Nowadays?
Dating nowadays has evolved significantly with the rise of technology and social media. Gone are the days of traditional courtship, as modern dating now involves swiping through profiles on dating apps and engaging in virtual conversations before meeting in person. While some may argue that this new way of dating lacks the personal connection and authenticity of face-to-face interactions, I believe it offers a plethora of benefits. Dating apps provide a convenient platform to meet potential partners based on shared interests and values. They also allow for more efficient communication, making it easier to get to know someone before committing to a date. Additionally, social media allows us to learn more about a person's background and personality before taking the next step. In conclusion, modern dating may be different from what our parents or grandparents experienced, but it offers unique opportunities for connection and compatibility. Romanticizing Your Own Life
In today's fast-paced world, it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We often find ourselves longing for something more, something that seems out of reach. This is where the concept of romanticizing your own life comes into play. Romanticizing your own life means finding beauty and joy in the small moments, and appreciating the little things that make life worth living. It is about creating a sense of wonder and magic in your day-to-day experiences, turning the ordinary into something extraordinary. By romanticizing your own life, you can cultivate a sense of gratitude and contentment, finding happiness in the present moment rather than constantly chasing after some elusive ideal. It allows you to see the beauty in imperfection and embrace the uniqueness of your journey. So take a step back, slow down, and start romanticizing your own life. You may just find that the most beautiful story is the one you are living right now.Follow me on IG: Instagram (@angelydub) Follow Life in Progress on IG: Instagram (@lifeinprogressph) Follow me on Tiktok: Angely Dub's Creator Profile Hosted on Acast. Delayed Gratification is Beautifiul
Delayed gratification is a concept that has been praised by philosophers, psychologists, and successful individuals throughout history. It is the ability to resist the temptation of immediate rewards to achieve greater long-term goals. This virtue requires patience, self-discipline, and a strong sense of determination. The beauty of delayed gratification lies in its ability to foster personal growth and development. By delaying instant gratification, individuals can make more thoughtful decisions that lead to greater success and fulfillment in the future. It teaches us the value of hard work, perseverance, and resilience. Furthermore, delayed gratification allows us to appreciate the journey toward our goals rather than just focusing on the result. The satisfaction that comes from achieving something through hard work and dedication is far more rewarding than any instant pleasure.Follow me on IG: Instagram (@angelydub) Follow Life in Progress on IG: Instagram (@lifeinprogressph) Follow me on Tiktok: Angely Dub's Creator Profile Hosted on Acast. Higher Education vs. Traveling
Higher education and traveling are valuable experiences that can greatly enrich a person's life. While higher education provides structured learning and specialized knowledge in a particular field, traveling offers hands-on experience, cultural immersion, and personal growth. Higher education equips individuals with the skills and qualifications needed to succeed in their chosen career path. It provides opportunities for networking, mentorship, and access to resources that can help individuals advance professionally. On the other hand, traveling exposes individuals to new perspectives, cultures, and ways of life. It fosters independence, adaptability, and open-mindedness. Traveling allows individuals to step out of their comfort zones, challenge their beliefs, and broaden their horizons. Ultimately, both higher education and traveling have their unique benefits. While higher education may provide a more structured path toward career success, traveling offers invaluable life experiences that can shape one's personal growth and worldview. Ideally, a combination of both can lead to a well-rounded individual who is equipped with knowledge and experiences from both worlds. Forgiving is not Reconciling
Forgiving is not reconciling. While forgiveness is an essential virtue, it does not necessarily lead to reconciliation. Forgiveness involves letting go of resentment and anger towards someone who has wronged us, freeing ourselves from negativity. However, reconciliation requires both parties to actively work towards rebuilding trust and repairing the damaged relationship. It involves open communication, understanding, and a willingness to address the underlying issues that caused the rift in the first place. Forgiving may be a step towards reconciliation, but it is not the ultimate solution; true reconciliation requires effort from all parties involved. Being Angry is Normal, Let’s Stop Demonizing it!
Being angry is a natural human emotion that everyone experiences at some point in their lives. However, society often demonizes anger, labeling it as negative and destructive. This perception needs to change. Anger can be a powerful motivator for change and help individuals set boundaries and stand up for themselves. It is important to recognize that anger, when expressed constructively, can lead to positive outcomes. Instead of suppressing or avoiding anger, we should embrace it as a normal part of the human experience and learn how to channel it effectively for personal growth and societal progress.Follow me on IG: Instagram (@angelydub) Follow Life in Progress on IG: Instagram (@lifeinprogressph) Follow me on Tiktok: Angely Dub's Creator Profile Hosted on Acast. Life is simple: Yes, No or Not Now
Life is simple, or so it seems. We are faced with countless choices every day - yes, no, or not now. These three words hold immense power over our lives. Saying yes opens doors to new opportunities and experiences. Saying no protects our boundaries and preserves our sanity. And saying not now allows us to delay decisions until we are ready. However, simplicity can be deceiving. Behind each choice lies a web of consequences and complexities that shape our future. So while life may appear simple on the surface, it is the careful consideration of these three words that truly defines the path we take. Don’t Change Yourself, Change Your Environment
Individuals often find themselves struggling to keep up with the demands of society. They are constantly bombarded with messages telling them to change themselves to fit in or succeed. However, I believe that instead of changing ourselves, we should focus on changing our environment. By altering the circumstances and surroundings we find ourselves in, we can create a more conducive atmosphere for personal growth and success. This could mean surrounding ourselves with positive influences, seeking out new opportunities, or even relocating to a place that aligns better with our goals and values. Some Interpret Self-Confidence as Bragging
In today's society, there will always be closed-minded people who may interpret self-confidence as bragging. Unfortunately, individuals who possess a strong sense of self-assurance are often misunderstood and labeled as arrogant or boastful. However, it is crucial to recognize the distinction between confidence and arrogance. While arrogance stems from an inflated ego and a desire to belittle others, true self-confidence arises from a deep understanding of one's abilities without the need for validation from others. Those with closed minds fail to grasp this concept, as they are threatened by the unwavering belief in oneself. Society needs to encourage and celebrate genuine self-confidence rather than perpetuating misconceptions about it. Life in Fair Because It is Unfair to Everyone
In the grand scheme of things, life is often perceived as unfair. From birth, individuals face different circumstances, opportunities, and challenges. Some are born into privilege while others struggle from the start. However, this inherent unfairness is what makes life fair for everyone. Adversity and obstacles shape our character and provide growth opportunities. Our struggles build resilience and teach us valuable lessons that cannot be learned through a smooth journey. Moreover, the unpredictability of life ensures that no one can escape its trials and tribulations. Furthermore, fairness lies in the fact that everyone experiences both triumphs and failures. Successes are sweeter when earned through hard work and dedication, while failures are humbling reminders of our limitations. These ups and downs create a level playing field where no one can claim an advantage over others. Ultimately, life's inherent unfairness serves as a catalyst for personal growth, creates equal opportunities for success or failure, and nurtures empathy within society. Through these shared experiences, we find fairness amidst the chaos of existence. I am creating “Me” Outside of Entrepreneurship
In today's fast-paced world, it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of entrepreneurship. The constant drive for success and financial gain can consume one's life, leaving little room for personal growth and self-discovery. However, I believe that it is essential to create a separate identity outside of entrepreneurship. Vulnerability Creates Deeper Relationships
Vulnerability is the key to fostering deeper and more meaningful relationships. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we open up our hearts and expose our authentic selves to others. It requires courage and trust, as it involves sharing our fears, insecurities, and emotions with someone else. By being vulnerable, we create an environment of honesty, empathy, and understanding, which allows for genuine connections to form. Sharing our vulnerabilities allows others to see us for who we truly are, building a foundation of trust and intimacy. It also encourages reciprocity, as others feel more comfortable opening up in return. Knowing What You Put on the Table in Every Relationship

Uninspired? Change the People You Talk to or Move Tables
Feeling uninspired can be a frustrating and stagnant state, but there are ways to break free from it. One effective approach is to change the people you talk to or the environments you are in. Surrounding yourself with individuals who are motivated, ambitious, and passionate about their pursuits can be incredibly inspiring. Engaging in conversations with these individuals can spark new ideas, ignite your creativity, and provide fresh perspectives. Stop Being the Bigger Person and Just Cut Small People Off
Choosing not to be the bigger person and instead cutting off small-minded individuals can be a challenging decision, but sometimes it is necessary for personal well-being. Continuously tolerating toxic behavior, negativity, or disrespect from others can be draining and detrimental to one's mental and emotional health. While being compassionate and understanding is important, there are times when it becomes essential to prioritize one's happiness and surround oneself with positive influences. By severing ties with small-minded individuals, one can create space for personal growth, cultivate healthier relationships, and foster an environment that encourages positivity and personal development. Why My “Great Things” Are Not for Everyone
In a world where conformity is often praised, it can be difficult to accept that not everyone will appreciate or understand our accomplishments. However, it is important to recognize that our achievements and passions are unique to us, and may not resonate with everyone. This realization can be liberating, as it allows us to focus on what truly matters: our happiness and fulfillment. It is essential to acknowledge that people have different interests and priorities. What may seem like a great achievement to one person might hold little significance for another. Our individual experiences shape our perspectives, making it impossible for everyone to share the same enthusiasm for our accomplishments. Moreover, societal expectations play a significant role in shaping people's perceptions of success. Society often defines greatness based on wealth, fame, or social status. However, true greatness lies in pursuing what brings us joy and satisfaction rather than conforming to external standards. Furthermore, personal growth and fulfillment come from following our path rather than seeking validation from others. By focusing on what truly matters to us individually – whether it be artistic endeavors or intellectual pursuits – we can find genuine happiness and contentment. The Art of Shutting Our Mouths
The art of shutting our mouths is a skill that seems to have been lost in today's society. In a world where everyone wants to be heard, we often forget the power of silence. Shutting our mouths not only allows us to listen and understand others better, but it also prevents unnecessary conflicts and misunderstandings. When we choose to remain silent, we allow ourselves to truly absorb what others are saying. We can then respond thoughtfully and empathetically, rather than reacting impulsively or defensively. By shutting our mouths, we show respect for others' opinions and create an environment where open dialogue can flourish. Furthermore, keeping quiet can help us avoid unnecessary conflicts. Sometimes, it is best to let go of minor disagreements or criticisms that may escalate into heated arguments. By choosing silence instead of engaging in pointless debates, we preserve relationships and maintain peace. In conclusion, the art of shutting our mouths is a valuable skill that should be cultivated in today's noisy world. It allows us to listen attentively, understand deeply, and prevent unnecessary conflicts. Let us remember the power of silence and use it wisely in our interactions with others.Follow me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/angelydub/Follow Life in Progress on IG: https://www.instagram.com/lifeinprogressph/Follow me on Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@angelydub Hosted on Acast. How to Handle Bullying at Work
Bullying at work is a pervasive issue that affects the well-being and productivity of employees. To effectively handle this problem, it is crucial to adopt certain strategies. Firstly, individuals should maintain open communication with their colleagues and superiors. Victims can seek support and raise awareness about bullying incidents by expressing concerns about bullying incidents. Secondly, documenting instances of bullying is essential for building a strong case against the perpetrator. This evidence can be used when reporting the incident to higher authorities or human resources departments. Additionally, seeking professional help from counselors or therapists can provide victims with emotional support and guidance on how to cope with workplace bullying. Lastly, organizations must implement strict anti-bullying policies and conduct regular training sessions to educate employees about respectful behavior in the workplace. By following these steps, individuals can create a safer work environment free from bullying. Why I Never Follow What Others Tell Me to Do
Throughout my life, I have always been a nonconformist. I firmly believe in marching to the beat of my drum and never succumbing to the pressures of society. This is why I never follow what others tell me to do. Firstly, blindly following others' advice or instructions can lead to a lack of personal growth and self-discovery. By charting my path, I can explore my interests, passions, and talents without being confined by societal norms or expectations. Secondly, blindly following others can result in missed opportunities for innovation and creativity. By refusing to conform, I can think outside the box and come up with unique solutions that may not have been considered otherwise. Lastly, following others' instructions can lead to losing individuality and authenticity. By staying true to myself and my beliefs, I can maintain my integrity and live a genuine and fulfilling life. The “More” Mindset is Making Us Unhappy
The "more" mindset, driven by societal pressures and expectations, often leads to unhappiness. In a world that constantly emphasizes material possessions, achievements, and external validation, the pursuit of "more" can become a never-ending cycle. We are conditioned to believe that happiness lies in acquiring more wealth, possessions, success, or recognition. However, this mindset can leave us feeling empty and unfulfilled, as our worth becomes tied to external factors. True happiness stems from within, from nurturing meaningful relationships, pursuing personal growth, and finding contentment in the present moment. By shifting our focus away from the constant pursuit of "more" and embracing gratitude and simplicity, we can cultivate a greater sense of fulfillment and genuine happiness in our lives. Ways to Have a Healthy Growth Mindset
A growth mindset is of utmost importance in personal and professional development. It is the belief that abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication, effort, and learning from failures. Embracing a growth mindset allows individuals to view challenges as opportunities for growth rather than obstacles to their success. It fosters resilience, perseverance, and a willingness to take risks. Instead of being discouraged by setbacks, individuals with a growth mindset see them as valuable learning experiences that can fuel their progress. With a growth mindset, people are more likely to set higher goals, step out of their comfort zones, and continually strive for improvement. By cultivating a growth mindset, individuals unlock their full potential, maximize their achievements, and lead more fulfilling lives. Lessons I’ve Learned From My Therapist Ana
I’ve been going to therapy for almost 3 months now and it has changed my life completely, there are still bad days but I am working on it slowly day by day. I wish I had done this sooner, but now I am taking this journey to know myself more outside the business world. My Therapist asked me,” What do you want to get out of this?”. Me: I want to move on completely from my ex-boyfriend and find myself outside the business world. Some of the lessons are: 1. You can forgive but you don’t have to reconcile. 2. Temporary dopamine is the worst, stick to consistency. 3. Dating is hard because people are now disposable. 4. The mental health journey is about ups and downs. 5. Therapy is painful but it is a must to do for improvements. 6. We can’t fix everyone. Period. Accept people for who they are. 7. Vulnerability is beautiful. Leaders must apply it more. 8. People treat us the way we let them treat us. 9. A lot of people live in suffering and blaming their parents 10. Getting angry when boundaries are crossed is normal. Secured Men Are Not Intimidate by Successful Women
Opinions among men regarding independent women can vary greatly. Some men highly respect and appreciate independent women, recognizing their strength, ambition, and self-sufficiency. They see these qualities as attractive and desirable, valuing a partner who is confident, capable, and able to pursue her own goals and dreams. These men view independent women as equals, appreciating their ability to contribute to a relationship on an equal footing. However, it is important to note that not all men may share this perspective. Some men may feel threatened or intimidated by independent women, perceiving them as a challenge to traditional gender roles or societal expectations. It is crucial to remember that these views are not representative of all men, as individuals have diverse attitudes and beliefs. Discipline > Motivation Always
Discipline is more important than motivation because motivation can be fleeting and unreliable. While motivation can give you an initial burst of energy and enthusiasm, it often wanes over time. Discipline, on the other hand, is the ability to consistently take action and stay committed to your goals, even when you don't feel motivated. It is the internal drive and self-control that allows you to push through challenges, distractions, and setbacks. Discipline helps you develop a routine, stick to deadlines, and maintain consistency in your efforts. It enables you to make progress even when you don't feel like it. Ultimately, discipline is what sustains long-term success and helps you achieve your goals, regardless of whether motivation is present or not. Why People Hate On Your Success
People sometimes hate to see others succeed due to a complex interplay of emotions and psychological factors. Insecurity plays a significant role, as witnessing someone else's success can trigger feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. Envy can also arise when individuals compare themselves to successful people and feel a sense of unfairness or frustration about their own circumstances. Fear of change can contribute to negative reactions, as success often brings about shifts in dynamics or routines that some individuals find unsettling. Additionally, past negative experiences with successful individuals or a cultural tendency to criticize those who excel may further fuel resentment towards others' success. While not everyone harbors these sentiments, these factors can contribute to a dislike or aversion towards witnessing the success of others.Follow me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/angelydub/Follow Life in Progress on IG: https://www.instagram.com/lifeinprogressph/Follow me on Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@angelydub Hosted on Acast. Narcissism vs. Self-Love
Narcissism and self-love may appear similar at first glance, as both involve a focus on oneself. However, there is a crucial difference between the two. Narcissism is characterized by an excessive preoccupation with one's own importance, a grandiose sense of entitlement, a lack of empathy for others, and a constant need for admiration and validation. It often manifests as manipulative behavior and a disregard for the feelings and well-being of others. On the other hand, self-love is a healthy and balanced appreciation and care for oneself. It involves recognizing one's worth, setting healthy boundaries, practicing self-care, and nurturing personal growth. Self-love is rooted in self-acceptance, compassion, and a genuine desire for personal well-being and fulfillment. Unlike narcissism, self-love also involves empathy and consideration for others, recognizing their inherent worth, and treating them with kindness and respect. Money Really the Evil?
Money itself is not inherently evil. It is an inanimate object that serves as a medium of exchange and a measure of value in our society. The perception of money as evil often stems from the negative behaviors and consequences associated with its pursuit or misuse. It is the love of money at the expense of moral values, greed, and unethical actions that can lead to harm and suffering. However, money can also be a force for good. It can be used to support charitable causes, provide for one's family, and create opportunities for personal and societal growth. The impact of money ultimately depends on how it is earned, managed, and utilized. It is our responsibility to use money wisely, with integrity, and in ways that align with our values to ensure that it serves as a tool for positive change rather than a source of harm. Let’s Talk About Some Law and Rights with Atty. Gab Ablola
Knowing and understanding laws and rights is crucial. Laws and rights are designed to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals. By being aware of these laws, individuals can safeguard their rights and ensure they are not violated by others or the government. Ignorance of the law is not a valid defense if you violate it. Knowing the laws helps you understand what is legal and what is not, allowing you to act responsibly and avoid engaging in illegal activities. Understanding laws and rights can help in resolving conflicts and disputes. It provides a framework for mediation, negotiation, and legal proceedings, ensuring that conflicts are resolved fairly and justly. Knowledge of laws and rights empowers individuals to assert their rights and advocate for themselves. It enables individuals to make informed decisions, seek legal remedies, and actively participate in society. Now, My Health is More Important Than My Career
After careful reflection, I have come to the realization that now, my health is more important than my career. While my career has been a significant aspect of my life, I understand that I cannot fully enjoy or excel in my professional endeavors without good health. Prioritizing my well-being means taking proactive steps to maintain a balanced lifestyle, including regular exercise, proper nutrition, and sufficient rest. It also involves managing stress and seeking support when needed. By prioritizing my health, I am ensuring that I have the physical and mental capacity to not only excel in my career but also lead a fulfilling and meaningful life overall. Ep. 149: The Power of Knowing Nothing to Keep Learning
The power of knowing nothing lies in its ability to fuel continuous learning. When we approach life with a humble mindset, acknowledging that we don't have all the answers, we open ourselves up to new perspectives, knowledge, and growth. Embracing our own ignorance creates a space for curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. It encourages us to seek out opportunities to learn from others and to explore different ideas and viewpoints. The willingness to admit our lack of knowledge drives us to constantly seek improvement and expand our understanding of the world. By acknowledging that we know nothing, we paradoxically become open to endless possibilities, fostering a lifelong journey of learning and self-development. Ep. 148: Beautiful Signs of Maturity
Signs of maturity can be observed through various behaviors and characteristics. One clear indication of maturity is the ability to take responsibility for one's actions and decisions. Mature individuals are accountable for their choices and do not shy away from admitting their mistakes or learning from failures. Another sign of maturity is the capacity to handle conflicts and disagreements with composure and empathy, seeking resolution rather than engaging in unnecessary arguments. Maturity also involves the ability to set and pursue long-term goals, demonstrating patience, perseverance, and discipline in achieving them. Mature individuals tend to exhibit self-awareness and emotional intelligence, understanding their own emotions and effectively managing them in different situations. They also display a level of empathy and consideration towards others, showing respect and understanding for diverse perspectives. Overall, maturity is reflected in one's thoughtfulness, self-control, and ability to navigate life's challenges with wisdom and grace. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep. 147: Things I Don’t Regret Leaving Behind
The more I learn about self-improvement, the more I understand that much of the process involves subtraction. Instead of focusing on what to do, focus on what not to do, and avoid it. Figure what’s weighing you down so that you can let go of it and move more freely. There is no need to be hyper-focused, but be mindful of the distractions in your life that suck up all of your energy. There are certain things in life that I don't regret leaving behind. Firstly, toxic relationships and negative influences drained my energy and hindered my personal growth. Cutting ties with individuals who brought me down has allowed me to surround myself with positive, supportive people who uplift and inspire me. Secondly, I don't regret leaving behind self-doubt and limiting beliefs. Shedding the weight of negative self-talk and embracing self-confidence has empowered me to pursue my dreams and reach new heights. Lastly, I don't regret leaving behind my comfort zone. Taking risks and stepping into the unknown have opened doors to incredible opportunities and personal fulfillment. Leaving these things behind has allowed me to create a life filled with positivity, growth, and endless possibilities. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep. 146: I am Both Inspired and Exhausted
We all have a workload to finish before the deadline. We all have an urgent task to complete for which we struggle to find the time. We all have our struggles in life. We all have our plates full. Our life is full of such struggles when our goal is excellence. Sometimes, our struggle carries us a bit more. We bite more than we can chew. And that leads to exhaustion both mental and physical. Our struggle seems painful and our life unbearable. The only option on the horizon is to ‘QUIT’. Rest before the struggle becomes unbearable rather than facing the consequences of burnout. Ep. 145: Is Religion Really Needed to Be a Good Person?
Religion has been an important social institution for many ages. Religion today has gained a lot of negative currency whenever there is a mention of religion; people associate it with fundamentalism, extremism, religious fascism, communalism, and much more which are actually the root causes of corrupting the institution of religion. Amidst all this, there are debates among the people that question whether humans need religion today or not. My personal view is that no, you can be a good person even without having religion. Ep. 144: I’ve Always Believed in Karma
You may have wondered, “What is karma, and how karma affects your life?” Karma is a concept of “what goes around comes around” and “what you sow is what you reap” are great examples of how karma works. Hinduism identifies karma as the relationship between a person’s mental or physical activity and the consequences following that action. It also signifies the consequences of a person’s actions in their current and previous lives and the chain of cause and effect in morality. In Buddhism, karma refers to the principle of cause and effect. The result of an action — which can be verbal, mental, or physical — is not determined by the act and the intention. It's impossible to prove that karma is real, but for the people who believe in it, it can often lead to stronger friendships and happiness. Understanding the concept of what you do comes back to you, and helps us to aspire to act from a place of alignment with ourselves and others, It gives us a moral compass.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. Ep: 143: Is it Too Late to Start Something New in Your 30s?
When deciding to change careers at 45, 35, or any age, can be challenging. It takes courage and effort, but it’s far from impossible. You still have plenty of time to make a career change at 30. Unless you already have a career in mind, you’ll need to do some introspection and explore different options that match your current interests, lifestyle, aspirations, and personality. If you're over 30 with no career, there are many reasons why you may not have found your ideal career yet, but it's never too late. On the contrary, you're at an advantage over many younger people because you likely know more about yourself and your unique abilities and skills. You also may be less likely to take the first job that comes your way, and more confident in what kind of job is right for you.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. Ep. 142: Nobody Talks About Realistic Habits
Your life today is the sum of your habits. I’m tired of lists of habits that I will never do. I’m not going to wake up at 5 a.m., run 10 miles a day, or fast for 20 hours a day. Let’s face it, most of us aren’t. No single habit will magically transform your life if it needs too much mental energy from you. I try to make a habit as small as possible to nudge myself in the right direction. Experts say the best way to form a new habit is to tie it to an existing one. Look for patterns in your day and consider how to use existing habits to create new, positive ones.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. I have been trying to find the meaning of life outside my career success and I must say that it was not easy to find what else I wanted in life but it definitely helped me define what success is for me. I love myself, my life, and solitude, this is something I have worked on my whole life.Moving forward with my adulthood journey I want to still grow alone but what makes it different now is that I make more time for my loved ones, I am creating more meaningful businesses that would change the lives of the people I am surrounding myself with, I wish to stay humble and always keep my feet on the ground no matter what success we achieve, keep on learning and knowing that the greatest human wisdom is not knowing anything, and lastly to keep reminding myself that rest is part of the formula.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. Ep. 140: People Pleasing is Destroying You
Description: A people-pleaser is a person who puts others’ needs ahead of their own. This type of person is highly attuned to others and often seen as agreeable, helpful, and kind, but people-pleasers can also have trouble advocating for themselves, which can lead to a harmful pattern of self-sacrifice or self-neglect.Imagine living your life trying to please people around you all the time. I’ve also done that with men, clients, friends, etc. I have no regrets I did this in life because we have to go through this to grow up, up to this moment I still have to do this a lot in business, in my personal life I no longer tolerate this for myself but at work, I do this every single day to make things work. But I have specific goals in life, everything I do always is directed towards where I wish to be.Choosing yourself and creating your own life is not easy, you will lose a lot along the way but this is something you will be always proud of because it is your life. Unhappiness is a part of life. Everyone experiences unhappiness once in a while. But what if it seems like you're unhappy all of the time? What causes your unhappiness? The path to being happier can be long and sometimes requires great changes in one’s life. In fact, being happy is something you need to cultivate every day, but adopting the right patterns in your life and then sticking to them.In this article, we’ll look at some of the common patterns that lead people to be unhappy, and what you can do about them. Research seems to show that unhappiness - and happiness - are caused by patterns in our lives: patterns in how the things we do, which are called behavioral patterns, and patterns in the things we think, which are called cognitive patterns. Ep. 138: Things to Call Yourself Out on
We are all a work in progress, which means we will create a lot of mistakes in this lifetime. So how do we learn to correct ourselves when no one guides us? I believe that it is very important to have self-awareness and learn how to call out to ourselves when we fall into the same traps again, recovering from our own patterns is not easy as this is something we are so familiar with and makes it very difficult to escape and rewire ourselves to choose other things. In my case, I always end up putting so much pressure on myself, as this is something I am so familiar with, I’ve done that my entire to myself, and nowadays this is something I work so hard on, every single day I remind myself that it’s okay if I slow down and fail once in a while to enjoy life as it is. Nowadays I still have a lot of dreams and things I want to go create but this time I am not leaving my loved ones behind like how I did it in my 20s. This time, I am wiser and more capable in life, now only being with them and making time with them gives me the inspiration to create bigger things for myself and them. EP. 135: It Took Me 3 Years to Move On From a Heartbreak
Lately, I have been reflecting on the most painful heartbreak I’ve experienced in this lifetime. He was the love of my life but I’ve moved on with grace, I never bad-mouthed him nor destroyed his reputation, he was part of my life and we made beautiful memories together that I will be remembering and treasuring for the rest of my life. I was so in love with him, and he made me so happy, this was weird happiness because I’d never experienced that with anyone before. Maybe, sometimes we are not supposed to end up with the person we fall so hard with, maybe there was just a lesson passing by in our life to teach the most valuable lessons. It was a beautiful journey that I am ready to tell people and inspire everyone that sometimes no matter how much we try they can leave us not because we made mistakes but maybe they were dealing with something on their own that our genuine love made them overwhelmed and not capable of receiving what we have to offer. After 3 years, this is now just a beautiful story to share with everyone, and I am proud of it. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep. 134: The Society is Obsessed with Single Shaming
You probably wonder why everyone is still so focused on being in a relationship because you’re having a great time being single and so focused on your goals. Well, you’re right. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being single, even as a woman above 30. But somewhere along the way, the world thinks there’s something wrong with being single, and this practice of shaming single women is still widely enjoyed by many. There is nothing wrong with enjoying your journey, this is your life and you are supposed to live the way you enjoy, this is your book to write, you are the author and no one else. When someone is shaming you, it is on them and not on you. You are loved, and your time will come. Stay focused and keep thriving! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep. 133: Life is a Journey not a Competition
You have to stop that comparison, most people are living fake lives on social media. We are in a world where everyone has dreams and aspirations. Everyone wish to succeed, be seen and hear. Some dream big so they could be of help to others, some dream big so they could enjoy a happy life with their family, some so they could flirt and enjoy their social life at the peak level, while others still do it so their friends and colleagues could see they have made it. One common error many people make in life as regarding this is that, the accomplishments of others make them feel bad about their own self. Social media is curated, comparing our real lives that we work so hard on sounds very unfair to me because at the end of the day no one knows what people are going through behind the screens. EP. 132: Success Looks so Different Than I Imagined
I thought success was going to be easier and smoother but it is absolutely not like how I imagined it years ago. Success is something you don’t even feel, it does not last, it gets harder and tougher to maintain it when you are already on the top. I have been having this conversation with a lot of my close friends, especially the ones who decided to leave success when they already got it because they thought it was lonely to be on the top. I will never forget what my friend Robert once told me, “The higher you get the lonelier you get”. It took me 7 months to reflect on this line and my meaning of happiness after success is that I want to continuously work on my dreams and have more meaningful goals but this time I don’t want to leave my loved ones on the side. Ep. 131: How to Cope with Shame
We have been so much in life and there are times when we are shameful of our actions and the things we have done. There are also times that our failures may make us feel shameful. I have experienced so much in life that nowadays shame even does not give me bad feelings for more than a day. The last time I felt so ashamed was when things ended with my ex-boyfriend, I was so sure of him and us that even telling people about what happened to us embarrassed me. I felt like I was not going to move on from him, up to now I feel sad every time I talk about him and all the things we had to go through together. Ep. 130: Red Flags to Watch Out in Friendships
The tricky thing about friends is that we often just feel so much affection and love for them that we can sometimes be blind to their more harmful and negative behaviors. Making friends is hard but cutting them off is even harder, everyone can be toxic, even I can be toxic, probably I have been also toxic to some of the people I used to be friends with. The thing is no one is perfect, and there are chances that sometimes we just get to the routines with someone but that does not mean we don’t have the option to move on and grow for ourselves and let these people who does not match our beliefs and values. Ep. 129: 5 Things to Always Keep Private
Yes, we can share our life with our families and friends, but I personally think that not everything should be shared. When we overshare we give people the power to use something against us. Oversharing normally leads to a lot of problems, pressure and unnecessary envy that we don’t need. I have encountered envy from my closest friends and family members, my journey in life has been unique and I’ve learned to just keep things to myself and only share what I know people can absorb and won’t use against me. Where do I start? We do a lot of things that hurt our growth and happiness. Browing social media for no reason, comparing ourselves with curated lives of people online, constantly talking badly to ourselves and the list goes on. Why we can’t be kind enough to ourselves and take it slow sometimes. Oh, I am the worst at this, I constantly put pressure on myself to be the best because I am an overachiever and I don’t even compete with anyone but myself, I am on constant race with myself to be better than I was yesterday. I must say that I have tried them both, traveling to almost every place I have ever thought of and literally buying everything I wanted to at every luxury store. After experiencing both, I still find my confidence and most joyful self when I travel and experience beautiful things. My life is very fascinating because I have this access to the world which sometimes is still confusing and overwhelming for me but this also makes me tell a lot of beautiful stories about what I have experienced and who I am. Being “yourself” is the most beautiful thing you can do to yourself. This is something I have always believed in, it is not easy I won’t sugarcoat it that this has been the hardest thing for me, because the more I become myself the more I tend to have a filter for people who truly accept me and I can rely on. Life is a long journey, we waste so much thinking about what people think about us but at the end of the day everyone is just dealing with themselves. If we think about it no one is actually really thinking about us and we waste such a long time worrying about if people care or not, imagine a world if we put all this effort into improving ourselves and working on where we want to be.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. Ep. 125: Are Luxury Goods Really Worth it?
For me, these goods are a reward every time we achieve something big, despite being able to afford luxury in life, I still practice to not go too much with these things because I know I won’t find true happiness and confidence even I buy the most expensive bags. I am not against acquiring luxury items because these indeed boost confidence whenever we need to do big meetings, impress a client and have a big event in life but always remember that it is crucial to stay within our budget because we have a life to build and not a society to impress. Financially stability can be damaged when acquiring luxury items become an addiction and constantly seeking validation from people by showing off these things. There is so much joy in finding balance between being simple + lowkey and buying luxury items once in a while to boost confidence or as an reward. I went on a date in Madrid before traveling to South America and I told this guy that I love my job but I am also inlove with my beautiful apartment in Madrid, for me, traveling is now about doing my job perfectly and growing my business. I no longer crave for it and have the hunger to see every place as much as possible. Did it make me happy in the last 16 years? Yes, it made me the open-minded person I am today, I must say that I have learned more about life and business from traveling and talking to people than when I was taking my master’s degree. Life is such a short journey, it is not simple and easy but it is possible with a lot of hard work. Small steps add up to a bigger picture that would make sense one day, sometimes we are so focused on the bigger picture and forget to live in the moment to enjoy moments of happiness. Creating the life we will love in future starts today with every single decision we make, we do not feel the impact immediately but everything we do today will reflect later on in life. My personal insight on this is to always do things to make your future self very proud, and I will be worth it. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep. 122: Finding Small Moments of Joy in Dark Times
I have been struggling a lot lately, success comes with very big responsibilites and disappointments. My standards in everything are getting higher and higher which I am losing of people on this journey, this is how it has been for me, the more I choose growth and myself, the more alone I feel. Down moments have always shown the best things for me, I feel like I have to go thorugh all these moments to be where I want to be. I mean, it took me a lot of work to live the life I have today and I am willing to go through all to live my dream life because it is always worth it.Learn about the British Council's Women in STEM Scholarships at https://www.britishcouncil.ph/. Ep. 121: Why Independent Women Have a Harder Time Falling in Love
People have always asked me about this, I was not given an option in life but to be strong for myself. Growing up without a Father changes you and how look at the world. I have seen people mistreating my Mom over money and I promised myself to work so hard that money won’t be ever a problem of my life. This has became my biggest strength and I don’t blame men being intimidated by me, they are used to girls seeking for help and displaying vulnerability. Before I questioned myself about this but now I have fully accepted myself for who I am. And someday I know everything will work out how it supposed to, compromising for the right one will be so worth it.Learn about the British Council's Women in STEM Scholarships at https://www.britishcouncil.ph/. Ep. 120: Marriage and Kids: It's a Part of Life,Not the End Goal
My definition of life goal is me being able to do everything, being free and minding my own business. I would love to share my life with someone but I never made my end goal just to be married. For me, marriage is just an add-on and not the main experience of life, I’ve reached the point in my life that I don’t even believe in this concept anymore. I would love to share my beautiful life with someone but I am also aware that things change along the way, we as humans change and I don’t think a piece of paper or ceremonies should make anyone stay in an unhappy situation and be ashamed whenever something ends. Getting married seems very beautiful but also life changing, never forget yourself for someone, always remember youself, don’t give up “you” for anyone in general. Hosted on Acast. Ep. 119: How to be a Good Emphatic Listener
We all just want to be heard without judgements and getting insights from other people. Listening is challenging especially in today’s world where everyone is an expert of something. For an instance, I have noticed that on social media at some point everyone has something to say just for the sake of views and likes. It is a sad world we live in but we have the choice to be better human beings to people around us. Listening is a skill that we all should practice to live mindfully, I am not perfect at this, I also make a lot of mistakes but I always try my best to keep improving little by little every single day for everyone I care about. Ep. 118: The Importance of Goal-Setting
Doing things that scare you make you stronger and confident, I was not like this 10 years ago, but I made sure I don’t live in fear and that made me live an imperfectly happy and satisfied life. I’ve always challenged myself to keep learning no matter how hard it gets, and this is something I am very proud to share with everyone. When we question life, it gets interesting and we grow from there, and not just following what everyone does. Many people are still confused about what branding is, so I’ve invited the founders of Simmer Studio who’ve been helping me build my businesses since the pandemic. I am happy to see that more and more are getting into Entrepreneurship and as Entrepreneurs we love to share our stories to many people out there. Ep. 116: Traits of a Strong and Independent Person
I strongly believe that strong and independent people usually go through something really difficult in life and they were left with no choice but to fight with a lot of strength and face life with grace. In my case, my journey started when my Father died at the age of 13, I saw how cruel the world can be and I promised myself that no one will look down at me for not being financally capable on my own. I never stopped working since then, I continue to work for my dream life and I regret nothing, the journey has been so satisfying. Thousands of people are talking with manifestation but who is going to talk about the hard work and all the failures we face every single day. Yes, you are capable of dreaming but that also requires a lot of time, discipline, patience, resilience and faith. I’ve invited Ron to talk about how manifestation and hustling goes hand in hand. Ep. 113: Playing Small to Find Love Never Ends Good
I have done this many times, trying to hide my success and how much I have achieved in life on my own. Many people get intimidated by my strong personality and I’ve embraced that trait as my superpower, many think it is my disadvantage but I am just addicted to making the most out of evert stage in my life. Before I would not completely talk about my job, career and what I enjoy in life, because it scared me to keep being rejected for wanting to have a good life and living it every single day. It took me a lot of time to learn one simple lesson- this is who I am, I am a good person and I have worked very very hard to be the woman I am today, I am not making a single compromise for a man who can’t accept it. Now, my standards just keep on getting better and better. Ep. 112: It’s Ok to Let Friendships Fade Out
Did you notice that as you get wiser in life you just tend to lose a lot of friends? In time my friendships with people either faded on its own or got stronger through distance and us managing our lives. Friendships are very special to me, I am a private person, I get along with almost anyone but no because I am good at making friends but because my job has trained me very well in dealing with people of almost all ages. Nowadays, I just let everything fade and I don’t make extra effort anymore to retain how things used to be, controlling is something that hurts us more than anything, flowing with life opens up so many opportunities for many things.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. I am inlove with my growth and I want to share this with a lot of people. Strong, resilient and independent people are not just born, we are made through hard experiences we had to go through to get where we are now. Women like me are always clear about our life goals, we don’t seek validations, and we are used to getting everything on our own. It can be challenging but I would never trade my life with anyone, the freedom and self-awareness are addictive.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. Ep. 110: Ways to Maintain Your Peace of Mind
Peace of mind is success for me, without this it means nothing to keep going in life. It is very hard to say no and focus on yourself but this is the first step to enjoy peace. This comes with maturity and experiences in life, it is continuous work you have to do at every age. Good this with my life experiences, I’ve learned this at an early age that at the end of the day I am the one who will drive my life car and no one is coming to help me, or if do, it is a must for me to learn myself first before I seek from other people.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. We will continue to fail, learn and succeed. I am turning a year wiser and life has been an experience. Some days are good, some days are bad, and some I am just surviving. The best part? How I get to know myself differently in every stage, it was never easy for me to be where I am today but I’ve made it, and I want to share that light with everyone. Nobody is coming to save you! Protect yourself from everything and everyone, you've worked so hard to be where you are now. Keeping your promises gives you more self-confidence than you can imagine. We often offend ourselves with negative talk in our heads; it doesn’t help. We all deserve the same love and care we give to others. We will spend the most time with ourselves, and it is very important for us to value the promises we keep to ourselves. Make this year about commitment to all the goals you want to achieve. It is not easy, but if you take every task little by little, you master the art of discipline, which helps you get there. This has been a debate for years but my personal belief is that yes money does buy happiness but it boils down to making the right decisions and what really makes you happy. I am a firm believer that, happiness has a different definition for every person, and sometimes people will judge us for our choices but why bother if it is your money. Are you into designer things? Dating is about fun, knowing yourself more, and exploring what exactly you are looking for in a partner. Trying to find happiness in other people will make you unhappy and feel incomplete. Love yourself, know your boundaries, and don’t internalize other people’s behavior, it’s on them and not on you. Marriage and kids should add love and joy into your life but this is not the only way nor the best way to do it. So this year ended just like that? What have I accomplished, plus of course, we also need to talk about the mistakes I’ve made that I will work on in 2023. I lost a lot of people this year because I decided to choose myself once and for all. I am no longer tolerating small talk, no more chasing people, no more sending long paragraphs to explain myself, and so on. The only thing I am doing right now is to focus on myself, my goals, my family, and the people I love the post. The year ended so fast, are you still worried about what other people think about you? If there is one thing I ask you to leave behind in 2022 is- to stop thinking about them but you do you. Life is meant to be enjoyed, appreciated, and loved by believing in our own journey. Remember no matter how good of a person you are, people always have something to say, so why even bother? Ep. 100: Season 3! To Survive: OFF To Thrive: ON
This year was very hard for me, I feel like I was just jumping from one thing to another. This has been the post-pandemic effect on me, I’ve been breaking down everywhere, there are days I felt amazing but on some I felt so down that I didn’t even want to get out of the bed. That survival mode is now over, I am myself again, I took a lot of time to heal, recover, call out myself and now it’s time to change. I believe that we should not wait for a new year to change but this is always a good start to look forward to new things again, the most important part to stay disciplined and always choose progress above any hardship. I am at the stage of my life where I am living the best, whether people support me or not, it does not bother me anymore, at the end of the day I am the writer of this book, and nobody is going to help me write the best story worth telling but myself. I fall involve so deeply, for me in everything I do it’s all or nothing. I am no longer with this person for a lot of reasons, but he was the love of my life and I openly say that to everyone. Can we forget the people we fall in love with? For me, we evolve into different people but these people contributed a lot to who we are now, so whether it was a good or bad breakup, we have to be honest to ourselves that these people taught us a lot of valuable lessons, and it’s in our hands we should be grateful for them and be bitter for their existence for the rest of our lives. Me? I choose to be grateful, he shaped the woman I am today and I still say hi with a smile to him every time I see him in Madrid. We aim to be wanted, loved, and appreciated. When we are young we tend to please people because we seek validation but how do we put a borderline into this? And what is the right on protecting your inner peace and socializing? I would say it depends on your personality and circumstances in life, when I was building my company Access Travel, I would literally hang out with every person whom I saw potential in helping me but as time went by I realized that I had to stop doing that because it was taking so much from me as a person. Backed by science, on average it takes more than 2 months to build a new habit Sounds overwhelming right? But imagine one simple change can you the best results you’ve been aiming for such a long time. Building a new habit of course depends on a person’s behavior, commitment, resilience, and circumstances. Very few of us can commit to achieving the goal list that we create every time we try to change, why so? Because it is not easy to train the mind to love hard things, it takes a lot of self-discipline to train ourselves to embrace change and new things but I believe it is workable. Since the very beginning, we are told to not feel negative emotions and it gets harder and harder to deal with everything as life goes by. Ep. 93: Killing Happiness with Comparison
Do you ever find yourself caught in the comparison trap? If so, you’re not alone. It’s human nature to compare and there are so many ways to compare ourselves to other people – money, house, cars, job title, attractiveness, popularity; the list goes on and on. In cases like this, comparison is the thief of joy. It can make us feel bad about ourselves and rob us of our happiness. If we practice for self-awareness, we can learn to comfort ourselves when we feel someone is triggering our insecurities, there are so many great things in life to be grateful. Ep. 91: Ways to Develop a Growth Mindset
We are scared of growth because it forces us to move out of our comfort zone. It starts with our own mindset, habits, discipline, and making hard decisions for ourselves. Growth is not easy, we live in a society with a lot of external voices telling us we cannot get our life together and that we are not enough but the more we focus on ourselves and learn to grow with or without anyone supporting us, we will always make it, even we get some bumps on the road we learn to make these failures as our stepping stone and look at the bigger picture. I’ve been very honest that business is not for everyone just all other professions, it has been sugarcoated for so long and it is all false. Life of being self-employed is very lonely and you do many things alone. While building your business/s you lose a lot of relationships along the way, sometimes including yourself, there are days when I don’t recognize myself for the amount of negativity I spread around due to pressure and stress. We all struggle with criticism, both in giving and taking. Why? Because we were not trained from the beginning to accept negative feedback with grace, in general, most of the time growing up no one taught us that it is part of life to get both positive and negative. Life is not all rainbows and unicorns, we will be always criticized for our looks, the way we look at life, our closing choices, and many more. Ep. 86: Why Online Dating is Not for Me
Dating is hard! Yes, you heard that right. I believe especially for people who have a very good relationship with themselves. I have no time to chase people and wait for anyone to message me. I am busy building my life and creating the path I want to take as I create the next stage of my life in Spain. I know my time will come and I am not in rush, the last thing I want to regret is ending up with someone who doesn’t align with my values and principles in life. I believe that our emotional attachment is what makes our romantic partners special but once we take that attachment, energy, and time we put into this person, they are also normal strangers we once met. Don’t rush into this, we are letting a complete stranger into our life, and it’s okay to take your time enjoying your life and letting things flow rather than ending up with someone you may later want to get rid of for whatsoever reason.DISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia. Ep. 85: How to Build Wealth in Your 20s
What is wealth? It’s financial independence and knowing how and where you spend your money, then it continues to grow with healthy and mindful spending habits. Remember that things like bags, clothes, phones, and other things will not bring your long-term stability and happiness, I always remind myself that I have a life to build and not a community to impress. Every coin counts when you are building your relationship with money, differentiating self-care from self-indulgence is the key to keeping your finances aligned. I am not saying I am perfect, I also splurge once in a while, but I always live below my means and I have trained myself to never be influenced by anything and anyone around me. Hosted on Acast. Independence? It’s a necessity, not an option! Independence comes in many forms, I strongly believe that if we don’t learn to be independent we repeat our patterns and carry them until adulthood. When we have less self-awareness we tend to jump from one person to another for support, we start with our parents, friends, romantic partners, and so on. I see nothing wrong in seeking help but never confuse help with support, first step we need to learn as adults is to learn how to comfort ourselves mentally and emotionally then financially comes after. It’s okay to shuffle the order for me as long as we are progressing. You got it! We can do it together. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep. 83: Helpful Ways to Cope with Loneliness
Loneliness is an emotion that we feel just like happiness but it is seen so negatively and unfortunately, nobody taught us to face it with emotional intelligence. We were always told to distract ourselves whenever we feel lonely, growing up we struggled to face failures, rejections and being alone because from the beginning we were not trained on how to handle these negative things that come with life. Life is a combination of both good and bad things, every time you face challenges, remember to get the important lessons from these moments instead of blaming yourself and others. It is not easy to survive life but it also comes with many beautiful things once we learn to navigate it with grace, hope, and resilience. ***DISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia. Ep. 82: Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone
I am not saying leave your home country and move somewhere as I did, we all know this is not an option for everyone but living in our comfort zone is something we all can work on. This is something I always push everyone to not embrace, life is a beautiful thing to explore, many times we will fail in achieving our dreams but we learn from every challenge we face to progress better. Failures are part of the process, you choose what stories you want to tell somebody- you trying new things again and again despite failing or just doing one thing that made you unhappy? You have the option, make sure to choose wisely while trusting the process of life.***DISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia. Ep. 81: I will YOLO now and It’s Ok
Is Yolo-ing bad? No, I’ve worked hard for 15 years straight to be where I am now, I’ve been about my career success but this time I want to take my time to build the next chapter of my life mindfully. I’ve always lived a very fast-paced life trying to do it all together either to survive or overachieve as much as possible. I am a risk-taker and dreamer and when these are combined that’s the perfect formula to be unstoppable in life. I always think about rest and taking a break, and it’s my time now to rest, reflect and enjoy my present, as this is something I’ve dreamed of 10 years ago.Rest. Pause. Shut down. Reflect. Ep. 80: The Pressure to Always be Successful
We live in a society where we are always forced to be successful but what is the true meaning of being successful in life? I always talk about it success comes in different meanings for everyone. For some, it is about having a family, for others, it is about having a successful career, and for me, it is about freedom and being able to live my life the way I’ve always wanted to. There is no right or wrong in life, we are allowed to experiment and work slowly until we find the perfect meaning of success that suits our principles and beliefs in life. Do not listen what others say, always follow your own instincts, it is your own life and you love it the way you want you to. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep. 75: Great Things Happen When You Don't Give Up
Nobody said life is easy but there are greater things waiting for us when we don't give up and keep going no matter what challenges we face. I want to share this strength of mine with all of you, one thing made me successful is that I never gave up on anything, I am not used to living an easy life, I always crave challenges to keep going and stay motivated. Whenever life feels stagnant, i find new ways to learn and create greater opportunities for myself. I am only living one life and I don't want to live a life that I would great someday, I always tell myself that I want my future kids to be proud of their Mom. It has been always all or nothing for me, I go with all my power when I want something in my life, yes there is fear involved but my dreams weigh more than my doubts. If I can do it, you can do it too, I am here to tell you that let your failures guide you and never dim your light, embrace challenges and failures, you will bloom differently with adversities.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. Failures will be always part of success even when society make us feel that making mistakes is not part of the formula. At the end of the day, as I always say, acceptance is key when life doesn’t go as planned. We have the power to bounce back no matter how bad life gets, we are capable of healing ourselves, dream all over again, and create better version of ourselves. We accept and heal differently — enjoy and embrace this to keep progressing and growing.Remember that life will be always about how gracefully we restart and learn all the lessons we can.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. There are days you will feel like a Rockstar and nothing can beat you down but some day it's normal that you just want to hide from the world. The challenge is not to stop and escape having insecurities but how to take care of ourselves and learn from our feelings every time we feel down. There are many external voices that would tell us we are not enough, only we can save ourselves, nobody is going to come us to fix us. Only we are capable of telling ourselves that we are going to be okay no matter how bad we feel about ourselves. I was lost for almost two years after the pandemic happened, but slowly I got myself back on track and decided to move to Madrid and see what else I am capable of doing in life. Everyone thought I was leaving Manila to get married to someone, but I left for myself and no external voices from the society can make me feel bad about myself and my journey because no one knows me and my dreams better than I do. Ep. 68: Turning Overthinking Into a Superpower
What makes us overthink? I believe it is fear that’s the root of everything. We are scared to fail in life, which leads to a never-ending thinking tunnel that makes us hold ourselves back to live our best lives. It’s normal to be scared in a world where nothing is predictable but if we change the way we look at things, zoom in and out a little, give up perfection and learn to be kinder to ourselves, I promise it’s a beautiful way to think of possibilities and right outcomes instead of always feeding our minds with things that don’t contribute to our growth. There’s always something beautiful to look forward to if we give ourselves some space to fail and experiment. Nobody knows what tomorrow holds. Resilience is different for everyone, going through hard times is not easy especially if we are not emotionally and mentally strong to accept unexpected events in life. Building resilience is the power to learn how to make ourselves feel better when life seems to fall apart, no matter how good, wealthy, educated, and successful we are in life, we don’t have the power to avoid facing unfortunate events, losing loved ones, breaking up with the people we thought we’d spend our life with, closing down businesses we’ve worked on our entire life, having to leave our dream jobs and so on. Life is a balance of both good and bad things and what remains is how good we become in handling every storm and enjoying the rainbow after, we are living a life in progress, getting stuck and feeling anxious is okay, allowing yourself have space to feel emotions is the key to build a better future with resilience.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. When we learn to take control of our lives, we become unstoppable and nobody can use our weaknesses against us.I’ve always been about managing my own life and from there, I learned to manage my own companies and people but of course life changes together with the circumstances, like in IE, where I am my Master’s, I did not want to lead and I am just doing the role of being a student and it has been refreshing but as a leader of my life, I decided to do that role not because someone asked me to.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's Facebook Hosted on Acast. It’s a reality that some people have more options than others, and in my case, I’ve been working continuously to never run out of options in life. Most of the time, people feel scared to be alone, but it is a fact that we should realize that the only person who will be with us until the end of time is ourselves. If we fail to understand ourselves better, we will miss out on many things in life. We live in this world where being happy alone is considered strange as everyone pushes us to be with others all the time. But don’t we function better when we know what makes us happy, our weaknesses, and how we can continuously improve? I embraced solitude so well and I ended up building my own 12-year-old travel company. Women are usually asked the question “Why are you still single?”, “When are you getting married?” and so on. There are so many expectations from the society and even from our families when it comes to our personal life. I am still single, intentionally, just because I am still not ready. And I do also believe that everyone has their own timeline in life and no external factors should affect your decision. Most of my classmates and friends are now married with kids, and here I am taking my Master’s program in Madrid because this is what feels right to me. I believe that if we continue to do what makes us happy and fulfilled, we will, one day, have so much satisfaction in life and time to focus on what we really aim for. Ep. 51: My Top 10 Entrepreneurial Lessons
In my opinion, business is hard and it takes someone really tough to make it. It can be very toxic, exhausting, and lonely. And just like any other profession, you just don’t sit on a fancy chair and sign checks like how it is shown and sugarcoated in our society. Being a CEO of your company also has its downsides and rewards — if there is one thing I am very proud to talk about all the time is how I started from nothing and how great it feels to build something on your own all the way up. I am far from perfect, I have lost many people and great opportunities on this journey, including myself. Everything I’ve been through gave me meaning to keep going and to keep progressing no matter how difficult the challenges. I learned to trust myself more, while working continuously on my mistakes, believing in myself, and creating more things to inspire and to make people happy in ways possible.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's FacebookDISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia, the hosts of the program, or other programs of the network. Ep. 50: How to Start 2022 Strong
2022 is here and I still cannot believe that we made it this far together. It’s a fresh start all over again, and despite all the challenges we always show up with strength and courage. So many hopes and dreams this year, and before we start the year I want to share the practices I personally have. I do believe that we should never just wait for the new year to do something new, because every single day we have the capability to be inspired, to restart, and to leave things behind. This year I want to do things that I should have before. I hope you start strong, this year is going to be another tough battle of its own. The pandemic is here to stay, the only thing we can do is to adapt to never ending changes in life. Yes it can be frustrating, but remember that we don’t have control in the situation but we do have control on how we take it on.Happy New Year Everyone! Let’s face the year together with a grateful heart.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's FacebookDISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia, the hosts of the program, or other programs of the network. Ep. 49: 2021 Life Lessons
2021 damaged us so much but it definitely made us stronger. As the pandemic started in 2020, we were just learning and navigating how to live the “new normal” — but 2021 was the hardest as we had to pick ourselves back up and start all over again. I must say that this year was so hard for me, I’ve outgrown people, things, and even my home country. I took the biggest leap of faith, packed my things, and moved to Spain. I know we all made our own major adjustments, and if there's anything to take it's that we should be proud ourselves and of all the progress we’ve been making together. Life is probably not going to be easier in 2022, but this time we know we are prepared come what may. We are now more resilient, patient, and stronger than ever. So no matter what happens next year, always remember that life is happening for you and not to you. You got this!Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's FacebookDISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia, the hosts of the program, or other programs of the network. Ep. 48: Finding Your Truth with Rica Peralejo
What is the your truth? Reality for me is that being true to ourselves is what help us define what our truth is. It has many definitions for people, my truth in life could be completely different from yours, and that one of the things that makes life an amazing mystery. There is no definite decision, path and truth to follow — we will change along the way, but what should never change is our pursuit to find our truth. There will be days when it’s going to be hard to accept yourself, but there will also be days when you will thank yourself for not giving up. Believe that no matter the changes, challenges and hardships we face in life, we can always choose to be good, to pursue our truth, and to fully accept who you are becoming along the journey.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's FacebookDISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia, the hosts of the program, or other programs of the network. Ep. 47: Why I Can’t Socialize Anymore
Where do I begin? Life was already difficult as is — making connections was already challenging, but now the pandemic has made it more difficult than ever. We need to re-learn the art of reconnecting, and how to make meaningful friendships all over again. I personally find it so hard to connect with many people. In order for us to to try again, I think it boils down to changing priorities, learning what matters the most, and taking on the journey of knowing yourself more. I believe that the more aware we become of ourselves and what we want, the closer we’ll get to achieving peace and happiness in life without putting in too much effort. But the real question is, do we ever know who we really are? I don’t think so, it will be a never-ending beautiful journey of exploration.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's FacebookDISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia, the hosts of the program, or other programs of the network. Ep. 46: Failing But Not Lonely
I am alone in Madrid, I get sad sometimes over some events and memories, but I know this is temporary. Sadness is an emotion that is meant to be felt just like happiness, the more we acknowledge what we feel, the more human we become. Both positive and negative emotions help us be the best version of ourselves. Change is painful and it comes with a lot of discomforts. Everything unfamiliar will make you feel less confident, but nobody starts as an expert, so enjoy the journey, and take it day by day. I am so good at my job but it doesn’t mean I am also a good student now in the Master's program, but we strive to improve and that’s the most amazing part of every journey. Ep. 45: How to Not Give a F*ck with MA Buendia
Why do we care so much about what other people say? Simple - it’s because we search for validation in what we do, if our actions are correct, if what we wear is nice, and the list goes on and on. I’ve learned that in reality though, nobody really cares as much as we think people do. Let’s always remember, that as long as you are comfortable with yourself and that you know you are doing a good job and that you are trying, nothing else should matter. Criticism will always come our way, use the positive to stay humble and grounded, meanwhile use the negative to find ways to keep improving ourselves. There is no final destination in this lifetime, and self-exploration is one of the most exciting journey we can go on. There is always something to discover about yourself, and the learnings are constant. People will always have something to say, so why not just go and do whatever your heart desires? Ep. 44: Letting Go of the One That Got Away
It’s strange because people often think I have it all together. The reality is that I struggle a lot, especially when it comes to men and love. This is normal, and we are all trying to figure it out. We have so many “Why’s” we want the answer to. The whole pandemic in the Philippines I had my own “whys” to figure out. I was seeking for answers as to why the man I loved did some things to me. Why did this happen? Why did we end up going separate ways, even even if we were so involved in each others lives and everything seemed like it was perfect. I guess life will be always unpredictable - there are lessons to learn to make sure we don’t keep on repeating the mistakes and the patterns, and so that we grow into the person we need to be. Last year was very hard for me, I had to let go of many things including the man I truly loved, but that also led me to where I am today. It’s quite ironic that I am now here just two streets away from him but I can’t see him, as if he was just some stranger. Back when I wanted so badly to be exactly here, there were things that wouldn’t allow me to be. But I guess that is just life, and life has its own ways of teaching us important lessons.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's FacebookDISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia, the hosts of the program, or other programs of the network. Ep. 43: Navigating Life in Your 30s with Cara Eriguel
I turned 30 this 2021. And I swear, it was a roller coaster of emotions, my life was turned upside down, and I was definitely pushed to the limit as a person and a businesswoman. As if this pandemic wasn’t enough of a challenge, the universe kept throwing more at me to test how strong I am and to see what will make me give up. But you know what? I don’t ever give up. Amidst the pandemic and everything else in between — I managed to get up, pick myself up again, and I moved my life to Madrid to take my Masters at the IE Business School. I didn’t even hesitate to start over in my 30's. My life in my 20's was amazing, I should say even beyond amazing. But where I am right now, I worked extremely hard to get here. See that’s the thing, everything in life is interconnected, what we do in our 20's will reflect in our 30's, what we do in our 30's will give us a glimpse of what to look forward to in our 40's, and the cycle goes on. As I always say, it’s now or never. What we do now matters, so just take that first step and take control over your own life.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's FacebookDISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia, the hosts of the program, or other programs of the network. Ep. 42: For People Feeling Lost : It’s Normal, and Valid
I’m living my dream in Madrid. But at the same time I’m confused and lost while still happy and fulfilled. Is it normal to feel all these emotions at the same time? I guess yes? All our feelings are valid, the positive and the negative, and it’s crucial to feel these emotions for our growth and progress. There will be days when you think you know what you’re doing, then one day you wake up, and you just ruined a relationship and lost opportunities you worked on so hard on. Is this life trying to teach us something? I guess yes. Why did so much things not work out and how did I end up where I am right now? I don’t have the answers yet, but my journey itself in Spain will tell why I am here and what purpose this will serve in my life.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's FacebookPLDT Home WebsiteDISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia, the hosts of the program, or other programs of the network. Ep. 41: Why Higher Education is Empowering
This year I finally decided to take a different path when it comes to education, and how I want to grow more as an individual and an entrepreneur. I took the first step to move to Madrid, to enroll in the # 1 business school in Europe, and to just go with the flow. I am not sure where life will take me from here, but I am learning to live in the present and enjoy what’s right in front of me. On my journey, I lost relationships and opportunities along the way, but I needed to do this for myself and my future. I feel like I have learned many things in the world, but now I have to learn to make decisions based on data and methods for expansion of my businesses back in the Philippines. And most importantly - I want my future self to be proud of me.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's FacebookPLDT Home WebsiteDISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia, the hosts of the program, or other programs of the network. Ep. 36: How to Fully Love and Accept Yourself with Iza Calzado
We often struggle to accept ourselves because we are constantly changing. Outgrowing hurts, but this is one of the most important parts of the progress in life. Self-acceptance is a continuous process, and the more we understand this makes everything easier in accepting our flaws and to continue enjoying our lives in every stage we step in to. For me, life has always been divided into several stages. When it’s time to leave and upgrade to the next stage, we should be prepared to leave a part of us behind that we won’t be able to bring with us to the next journey. Iza helps us understand that no matter what other people say, it’s our own life and we are in charge of everything.Angely's InstagramLife in Progress InstagramAngely's FacebookDISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia, the hosts of the program, or other programs of the network. Ep. 30: How and Why You Should Invest in Cryptocurrency with Christ Tan
Passive income is something that would help us in difficult terms, especially in the time of a pandemic. 3 months ago I decided to put half of my savings into cryptocurrency and fast forward to today I was able to pay some of my school expenses from the money that I’ve made from the appreciation of the coins. Everything in life is about taking risks, so I just decided to make my money grow here instead of letting it sleep in the bank. I’ve invited Christ from OKex to inspire us on how we can start investing for long-term benefits.LINK: https://podlink.co/okexlifeinprogressDISCLAIMER: The views and opinions expressed by the podcast creators, hosts, and guests do not necessarily reflect the official policy and position of Podcast Network Asia, the hosts of the program or other programs of the network.
