Importance of Marketing in a Bear Market | Ep. 26
First of all, what is a bear market? Essentially, it's when commodities are dropping in value and investors are encouraged to sell. Even though Crypto has been in a bear market for a while, there is still plenty of opportunity for good Crypto marketing. In this episode, we break down reasons why you should still market in a bear market.
Ty's Show Notes:
Intro
We are going to talk about why you should be marketing in a bear market and which channels you should shift your marketing resources to.
Crypto has been in a bear market for a while now and we often hear from clients that they are waiting for the market to pick up to do more marketing.
Really frustrating because bear markets are such a good marketing opportunity.
Why do marketing in a Bear market?
Its WAY more cost-effective
Less noise to cut through
Where should you dedicate marketing resources in a bear market?
Influencer marketing: Influencer marketing is very supply/demand. Demand is down and supply has stayed consistent. Pricing will increase later
SEO: longer-term, Less competition. Google uses the timeliness of an article in its decision-making process of what articles to serve. Articles that were published during the last bull run might no longer be relevant.
PPC: Less expensive to bid on keywords
Social Media content: Easier to get eyes on your content
Conclusion
That's all for today.

What We Use Trello For | Ep. 25
Trello is an incredibly powerful tool that allows companies and teams to build organized processes, organize tasks, and collaborate with others. Its something every entrepreneur and marketer should explore.
In this episode of the Crypto Marketing Show, Ty, TJ, & Kylie, discuss how Coinbound uses Trello to get things organized, systemized, and done at scale!
Ty's Show Notes:
I was super scattered before. Trello made me capable of getting things done at scale.
It helps you get more things done effectively.
Allows you to create scalable work processes.
Allows your whole team to collaborate on multiple projects.
What is Trello
Trello is a collaborative project management tool that organizes your projects into boards. In one glance, Trello tells you what's being worked on, who's working on what, and where something is in a process.
It organizes things by boards, cards, lists, and more.
Tons of useful automation tools built into it to make workflows more efficient.
How we use Trello
We use Trello to organize basically everything
We put out a lot of content. Trello helps us manage our content schedule and make sure everything is getting done in a way that everyone can collaborate easily.
Some of our boards:
Content Management (track content from its creation to publication to distribution)
Pre Production (plan what content we are going to put out)
Web Development (list and track the development of different website features)
personal boards (track our own to-dos)

How Frequently Should You Post on Instagram? | Ep. 24
Have you ever wondered if you are posting the right amount on Instagram?
In this episode, Ty, TJ, and Kylie break down the Instagram posting frequency that research shows to work best.
Ty's Show Notes:
Intro
With over a billion users in 2019, Instagram is one of the largest and fastest growing social media platforms.
Today we will discuss how often you should post on Instagram for maximum reach and engagement.
We will discuss what the data says, what that data means, and what we've seen ourselves.
Start with Stats
SocialBuddy says 1-3 times per day. Major brands post avg 1.5x per day
DashHudson (marketing software company) broke down posting frequency vs reach as a percentage relative to "average" based on data from 1400 brands:
1 post per day: 3.39% more reach
2 posts per day: 3.12% less reach
3 posts per day: 6.17% less reach
4 posts per day: 13.17% less reach
5 posts per day: 9.26% less reach
DashHudson also graphed # of posts per day vs total reach: Reach increases the more you post but decreases per post relative to average
Interpreting that data
It depends on your goals. Maximum reach or engagement per post?
Posting once per day is probably fine.
Conclusion
End with a quote from Neil Patel: "If you make a habit of posting several times a day and then transition to only a few times a week, you will start to lose followers and generate less engagement per post. This means that the best posting frequency for Instagram is the posting frequency that you can consistently maintain for the rest of your natural life."

What We Use OneSignal For | Ep. 23
OneSignal is an incredibly powerful free tool for sending push notifications, remarketing to site visitors, and keeping your visitors engaged with your brand. In this episode, Ty, Ty, and Kylie discuss what push notifications are, how they should be leveraged to effectively market your company, what OneSignal does, and how the Coinbound team uses it to drive revenue for themselves and their clients.
Ty's Show Notes:
Intro:
We are going to be discussing push notifications, what OneSignal is, How we use it, and things to keep in mind before setting up push notifications.
OneSignal is a super useful FREE tool that:
Allows you to put site visitors on automated drip campaigns
Engage with potential customers through a new and effective medium.
Helps you increase site revisits
What are push notifications?
Push notifications are notifications sent to your phone or computer outside of an app or browser.
When you go to a site and it asks you if it can send notifications, that's push notifications.
What is OneSignal and what does it do?
OneSignal is one of the most popular push notification softwares.
Send push notifications via mobile and web
Collect subscribers from your website automatically
Send messages to them about promotions or updates
send automated or manual push notifications to site visitors' phones or computers.
Allows A/B Testing
Free up to 30k subscribers
Example: Our Site. If you go to our site and allow notifications and don't revisit for a certain number of days/week it will send different resources. We see about 5% site clicks. That's a lot of people that otherwise would have forgotten about us.
Another Example: We set up one signal for some clients. One is a content creator: Now when anyone goes to his site it asks if they will allow notifications. If they do, and they don't revisit within a week it will automatically send a notification prompting them to subscribe to his youtube channel.
Things to keep in mind when using OneSignal for push notifications
Shorter is better
Push notification click-through rates based on word count (From Buildfire.com):
10 words of less: 8.8%
11-20 words: 4.9%
21 words or more: 3.2%
