Born Michael Deji Alakija Chuka Nwachukwu to a family of nine,the eigth child,Dad is Nigerian and mum is half Brazilian and half Greek settled in Ogun state,mum is from the famous and respected Alakija family.    Dwon Started his music career way back in secondery school as a dancer and won the National Big Elopee dance competition in Kano state in 1984 and was nick named 'the king of disco' in 1985 appearing on Triumph Newspaper as a very young boy.He went on to the University of Lagos in 1998 and studied English Education and ever since he has appeared in several magazines,radio interviews and newspapers and perfomed in over a hundred shows worldwide with topmost A list artists in Nigeria and Africa in the early 2000,including Paul Dairo,Tony Tetuila,Yvonne Chaka Chaka,Remedies,etc and also had a number one single 'oh my baby' that topped the Nigerian chat show for 6 weeks in roll on Star101.5 FM Lagos,in the year 2001 and has also performed in sevaral big and small shows in and out of Africa,China in 2010 december,being managed by Rudy in Shanghai,and has performed also in Dubai,India e.t.c,from 2009-presently. Dwon released one album under CBB records owned by late Conrad Beka Brown from Germany then in 2001-2002 and sold over 500,000 copies with the smash hit single 'Godzilla' and after a long break he released an independent album titled 'musical power' in 2008 december which sold about 315,000 copies totally in Nigeria between 2008-2009 and now in 2011 Dwon is set to come out with his first international Album Titled 'ALL IN ONE' to be released officially by september 2012 worldwide,Independently.This is the first official New single 'Jam-bori-bo released 4th october 2011 in Lagos.Including are few songs from the 2008 Musical power Album including the yet unreleased dance song 'Hajia'.Ater his contract with CBB records terminated in 2002 Dwon has decided not to be under any label and has been working and releasing his own singles and albums independently eventhough he has so many offers from record labels.Dwon believes in interacting with his fans one on one and building them over the years. Hope you become a fan after enjoying listening to the songs while expecting the full album which is to be released worldwide by september 2012.Cheers and enjoy listening!Dwon
