Completamente instrumental, llevando la guitarra melodías principales, y con la base jugando un poco con la armonía estática, Dark Coffee saca a la luz su primer EP llamado, The Trip. Sus cuatro canciones siguen la misma línea, pero que no el mismo el genero o estilo, ya que podemos encontrarnos desde un ligero toque progresivo, hasta un ligero toque electrónico, combinado con ausencias de baterías y bajos en una, hasta la ausencia de guitarras y batería en otra, donde todo recae sobre el bajo.
