Everyone has a past that makes them insecure or easily discouraged. One way to deal with our insecurities is to love ourselves. Self-love means that we love and accept everything inside ourselves, including our inner child or our inferiorities. Self-love is the first and forest step of love before transforming it into another.
If we have a partner who loves us, but we don't love ourselves, then all his praises will seem meaningless. Your boyfriend/girlfriend tells you some healing words like ‘you are so beautiful, dear’ but we feel that we are not, we deny his/her statement because of our insecurities, then those good words will never be enough for us to be comfortable with ourselves. Or otherwise, we try to love our partner, but we couldn’t get the reason why our partner loves us, because we haven't fully understood who we are. So when our partner leaves, we seem to lose our way.
I know this is not an easy thing when it comes to life partners. But if we rely our happiness on clothes, bags, traveling overseas, then we will not be really happy and we can’t love ourselves completely.
Self-love is a part of our love for the self and God. If we already feel enough, accepting everything that belongs to us, we will feel that people’s praises are no longer necessary, and no one can drag us down. This means that if we can do our self-respect, we will sincerely praise others without expecting that person to praise us back. And we will keep our words from hurting or judging others because we felt the hurt of being judged, and that feeling grows our empathy. We don't want to be hurt, that's why we don't hurt other people.
It is obvious that people who rarely praise others, often give negative comments to others. But sometimes, they do express negative things to others, because maybe they had not appreciated and loved themselves yet. The way a man interacts with you reflects the way he interacts with others in his life.
So, just believe that if we love ourselves, it will arise our sincerity to love and accept others.

English Talk #1 : How to Deal With The Insecurity
Feeling insecure is natural, everyone has felt that way. I also often feel insecure. But in some cases, feeling insecure for too long is not good. ‘Ahh I'm ugly, why is my nose like this, why am I having acne, why are my cheeks shaped like this, why am I so thin, why am I so fat’. Thinking about it too long can harm us. Insecurity kills us slowly. We should get rid of such thoughts.
I can understand the feeling of inferiority from being compared to one another, especially to the closest people. It sucks, and sometimes it makes us lose control. When it happens to you, you should look for help, whether it's looking for healing words or hearing stories like this. And you also definitely need someone next to you to cheer you up by saying something good such as "hey you are worth for everything". But in case you don't have those kinds of people, or maybe they can't directly say those words to you, so I am here representing them to tell you, "hey you are worth and you are more than what they say"
You may be really trying to make yourself looks attractive, to make it looks better, when in fact it's just an illusion. For you all who suffer from weight complex, you must be really hard to jog or run or work hard to look slimmer, to look thinner. But when you become really thin and slim, what do you get? Are you satisfied? Have you had enough?
In another case, you try to improve your appearance by buying good clothes, jackets, shoes. Those may change your look to be better, but in the end, your look is what relies upon inside yourself.
So the first thing you need is self-acceptance. You know, the beauty standard itself has no limit or specified requirement. People are born different, with their own beauty and luck. But after all, a good appearance will be a waste if you do not have a good heart. So, even though this world has been too cruel for our reality, your smile, generosity, and good resilience can be the strongest beauty that not everyone else has.
First, feel free to tell everything that burdens you. Then, accept those burdens, remember that you are worth for any happiness. As life goes on, you will get used to them.
For those of you who may be pushed away by your friends, or not finding them good to you, just because of their physical judging of you, just leave them already. Why? Because you are more precious than them. Sometimes, they really absorb into you, like ‘eh, look at how fat you are, uh, look at those acnes, your pimples are spreading everywhere’. Those things should be really hurt you. But no matter how many friends you have, no matter how close you are to them, no matter how intensive your relation with your parents, you will end up dealing with yourself. You are the one who will be the hero, who can light up in the dark within you. Finally, what you should do now is ignoring those words.
Now, look in the mirror. Look at yourself, and say “you are beautiful, you are great. And I am proud of you "
