Mandy and Kate chat to Maddy, CEO and founder of Little Dreamers, a not-for-profit organisation supporting young people age 4 to 25 who provide care for a family member affected by disability, chronic or mental illness, addiction or frail age. Maddy launched Little Dreamers at age 16, inspired by her experiences of caring for her brother and mum, who both had chronic illnesses. Little Dreamers support young carers through a range of programs, connections and opportunities, including dream experiences, holiday programs, peer support programs, tutoring and advocacy. Little Dreamers also helps young carers find friendships and support with other kids and young people who understand.
