A three-year-old male dog named Henry is the third death in three days. Two other race dogs, Bog, a two-year-old, and George, a four-year-old both died on Sunday. "The Iditarod is the shame of Alaska," said Tracy Reiman, PETA's executive vice president. "How many more dogs need to die before this stops?" These are the first deaths of dogs in the race since 2019.
