Death… taxes…. And Pakistan losing from a seemingly unloseable position Against USA, they were defending 12 off 3 balls…. They lost Today against India, they were 80/3 off 14 Overs chasing 120…. They only required 40 off 36 Balls That’s a win probability of 93%…. And they lost…. Again The Difference? The 4 pronged Seam attack of Amir, Shaheen, Naseem and Rauf took 9 for 94 off 15 overs I did say at the halfway point that 120 would be the highest chase at this ground…(which says more about the ground than anything) But with Pakistans history and Indias attack you knew they would make it hard on Pakistan. I get it we have ICC Rankings, but what about right now?! What about across all formats? We at TMC attempt to turn all the cricket that's on right now and decide "Who is the BEST Team in World Cricket RIGHT NOW?!" (6:44) - RELEGATION ZONE 7th - 9th The 7th through to 9th Teams right now are a long way to go before they can crack the Top 6. They have a few decent players but in the end they lack enough talent to compete consistently at the top level. (16:36) - MIDDLE OF PACK 3rd - 6th This is where its a log jam for us. These 4 teams could be in any order. You can make the case all of them should be 3rd and you can equally make the same case to be 6th. That is because these teams have a lot of World Class Talent (Some more than others) but they have a lot of flaws right now that is keeping them from the Top 2. (43:48) - THE BIG 2 1st - 2nd These 2 could be in any order also but at the moment there is a clear gap between these 2 teams and the rest of the world. If you squint really hard you can find flaws but at the moment they have too many strengths to be exploited. Cannot wait for them to play each other soon...
