The popularity of this series is growing, we had a lot of requests to join so the guest list was expanded so you can expect a lot of Pineapple Kiosk because there was a great deal of overlap. Even with that overlap we had nearly two dozen movies to talk about. So get in your "Wayback" machines and join us for a lively trip to the decade of the 90s, where we landed right in the middle.

Episode 553: Lambcast #623 The Quick and the Dead MOTM February
An incredible cast gets discussed by an incredible cast. This week, the MOTM show, a Birthday gift for Richard and a new film for three of the guests. It's a Western, but not in a style you are likely to have seen before. The Quick and the Dead features a bucket load of character actors and everybody pretty much gets a death scene. Our show cast indulges in Hackman Love, Silvestri Admiration, and wanting a Leone sized version of a Sam Rami film. We also have some thoughts on the Oscar show, and a game that will make you look around for the meatballs.
Forget the T.S. Eliot poem that suggests the world ends with a whimper, Roland Emmerich insists that it ends with a "BANG!" and he has made more than a half dozen movies to prove it. This week on the Lambcast, the guests review the newest of his disaster films "Moonfall". We also lookback at a long string of Emmerich films, most of which are variations on some kind of disaster. What can you expect from the show?, death, destruction, tidal waves, and plot twists that are batphooey insane.

Episode 551: Lambcast #621 January Dumpster Dive
So we tried something a little different on the show this week. It's a small group, just talking without much of an agenda. We discuss January Film releases which are usually a travesty, and we found plenty of those, but we also uncovered a few nuggets of gold amongst all the garbage. Todd, Tyler and Richard have a great time wandering down memory lane and throwing rocks at the same time. Come have a listen and see if January will still leave you down, you might be surprised.

Episode 550: Lambcast #620 Meryl Streep Draft
It's been nearly a year since we had a Draft show and since January is a slow period in the cinemas, it seemed a good time for some alternative programming. The last actor draft we did was an update on Tom Hanks, but this time we are looking at the other side of the aisle, an acclaimed performer who has a resume to make the argument that she is the G.O.A.T. Meryl Streep. With an astounding 21 Academy Award Nominations, it is easy to say she is widely respected and talented, so what did our group of guests think and what are their favorites. Come listen and then look for the poll on the Lambsite to vote for the Draft Team that you think is the strongest. (By the way, it's Richard's).

Episode 546: Lambcast #618 2021 Blues
This week, the host and the guests take turns taking pot shots at the dumpster fire that 2021 turned out to be. Everyone had their pet peeves about movie trends, streaming services, musicals, cancel culture and assorted other bit of ephemera. We complain and whine like a bunch of babies, but we had some fun doing it and you might enjoy listening to some cranky guys take down the entertainment business one issue at a time.

Episode 542: Lambcast #615 Spider-Man Lookback
This week the Lambs examine the new Spider-Man film "No Way Home" in some detail, in a spoiler filled edition of the Lambcast. After we get that squared away, there is an elaborate discussion of all the stand alone films in the Spider-Man Universe. Come along and listen as we wonder why Paul Giamatti is insufficient to rescue The Amazing Spiderman 2, whether Andrew Garfield is the best actor among the Spider-men, and hear a spirited defense of emo Spidey in Spider-Man 3.
That's right, murder, corruption, prostitution, all the things you want in your stocking for Christmas are on this episode of the Lambcast. Continuing our long tradition of non-traditional Christmas films, Heather Baxendale-Walsh hosts the discussion of her winning entry in the MOTM December poll "L.A. Confidential". Off the record, on the QT, and very hush-hush.

Episode 540: Lambcast #613 Video Comfort Food
When you are actually talking about food, it is easy to spot: a burger, a slice, meat and potatoes, a piece of pie. When you are talking about movies, it gets more complicated. Video Comfort Movies could be as varied as any menu in the world. Movie fans find comfort in the strangest things. Some people want to curl up with Freddy Kruger or Jason Voorhees and get cozy. Others want to watch their favorite James Bond film for the 114th time. Many will head to the far East to pig out on Samurai or Kung Fu films, others revert to the past and swim in nostalgia for the Golden Age of Hollywood. I suppose it also depends on what you are trying to escape by seeking out Comfort Food. Did you just have a long day and need to relax? Are you upset at something and you need a cathartic release of energy? Maybe your brain is taxed and you want the most mindless thing you can come up with without thinking too hard. We are about to explore the movie version of culinary habits of Seven of our Lambs

If you have any reviews, podcasts or features written or published about Anthony Hopkins or any film or TV show he has appeared in, send them to Rob at [email protected] by 10th December.
We tried a new format this week, with a substitute host and some open ended directions, the result...was actually terrific. Our guests pick some nostalgia filled films and some classics to make up their top ten lists of films released in the holiday periods of the 1990s. These are not necessarily Christmas films (and for the most part they are not) but rather films that made an impact on our LAMBs in those release windows. 35 films got mentioned by six Lambs (Richard joined by Proxy) and in spite of Howard's best efforts we still had a film or two that made everyone's list. Try something new and old this week.

The future war has depleted the pool of Lambs to draw from, but Richard managed to get two other fighters of the right ages to teleport into this weeks podcast.

Episode 505: Lambpardy! June 2021
Sometimes a Lambpardy show just isn't fun enough. Sometimes it also needs to be a long-awaited episode of another podcast, and sometimes the participants of said podcast need to be completely unaware of this before they start recording the show. What am I talking about? This month's Lambpardy is only a surprise French Toast Sunday reunion! That's right, 16 months since they recorded their last podcast together, Jess, Marc, Nick, Lindsay and Rob have been unwittingly reunited for three of them to compete in a Lambpardy game whilst the others willingly listen and interject as required. It's French Toast Lambpardy! As you might expect this was a particularly raucous show (almost an hour of the conversation has been edited out and it's still over 90 minutes long), but that just adds to the fun! Listen in for a very entertaining movie trivia show, but also be prepared for diversions onto topics such as crop-tops, sitcoms and Chris Kattan. It's a podcast you could listen to on a weekend afternoon, that you'd listen to on any weekend afternoon. LAMBCAST #466 JAMES BOND FRANCHISE PART 1
The name's cast, Lambcast, licence to discuss movie franchises. We're taking inspiration from ourselves, namely how we split up the Harry Potter franchise last year, and chopping up the James Bond movies into six chunks, which we'll hit at a leisurely pace over the next year. We're kicking things off with, somewhat predictably, the first four films: Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger and Thunderball. Jay and Richard were joined by Will, James and Amanda to discuss the heroes, the villains, the kills, the exotic creatures and the rampant sexism peppered throughout the films.00:00 Intros02:53 Will ranks the Jurassic franchise06:25 History with Bond18:26 Dr. No [SPOILERS!]53:03 From Russia With Love [SPOILERS!]77:49 Goldfinger [SPOILERS!]101:52 Thunderball [SPOILERS!]125:56 007 By The Numbers Game141:56 Plugs 150:26 Out-takes The show can be found on iTunes, but the Lambcast archives are now also available on YourListen.com, so head over there to find all the past shows available for downloading and listening too! LAMBCAST #416: THE MUMMY (1999) MOTM
It's a podcast, what harm even came from listening to a podcast? It's Mother Day's in the UK this Sunday, and today is International Woman's Day, so what better time to discuss 1999's The Mummy? Jay was joined by Audrey Fox, Kristen Lopez, Zoe Rose Smith and Richard Kirkham to talk about the Stephen Sommers' action-horror reboot in all it's tomb-raiding, flesh-eating, fez-wearing glory. Also on tap: Rants and Raves of the Week and a round of Last Lamb Standing.00:00 Intros02:12 The Mummy discussion [spoilers]46:11 Rants & Raves59:57 Last Lamb Standing75:01 Plugs82:22 Out-takesThe show can be found on iTunes, but the Lambcast archives are now also available on YourListen.com, so head over there to find all the past shows available for downloading and listening too! LAMBCAST #400 THE 400TH SHOW SPECTACULAR
[EDIT: There was a problem with the audio for the Remake-A-Palooza section, this version has fixed that.]So apparently the LAMB celebrated it's 10th birthday a few weeks ago (October 31st to be exact) but what with all the hubbub around other areas of life it somehow got forgotten. Worry not dear flock, for though it was not technically intended for that celebration we have decided to mark the occasion with what is easily the most ambitious, and ultimately most time-consuming to edit Lambcast show in the history of the LAMB, it's our 400th Show Spectacular! We couldn't decide on just one topic for this show, so we opted to commemorate the occasion by discussing pretty much everything in our worlds of film. So this show isn't just a Movie of the Month, it's not simply a Draft, it's not limited to just being a game of Lambpardy, no it's everything, all packed into one show. And because it's the 400th episode, each segment is tackled for exactly 400 seconds, or 6 minutes 40 seconds. If you think that doesn't sound like enough time to talk about a movie, well after recording the show I'm more than inclined to agree. We were joined by a cornucopia of Lambcast regulars - and a few unfamiliar voices too - all of whose credits can be found down the bottom. For now though, clear your schedule, you've got some listening to do.00:00 Intros06:40 Rebecca and Howard helped Jay solve the Murder on the Orient Express13:20 Audrey, Rob and Rebecca go head-to-head-to-head in Lambpardy!20:00 Jay spends a moment with Heather26:40 Jason Soto returns with Dylan and Jay to Ask The LAMB33:20 Dylan, Robert and Jay talk time travel tech, home town hate and the new game that's sweeping the nation, Spacey Replacey40:00 Rob joins Jay and Dylan for an extreme discussion on what's better, Point Break or Point Break?46:40 Kristen, Audrey and Jay self-diagnose My Girl53:20 Grab your sorting and/or thinking caps for a LIVE Harry Potter trivia fight60:00 Richard, Tony and Jay chat about some new films they've seen recently66:40 Richard, Dylan and Jay attempt to earn their licences to kill in a James Bond Draft73:20 Sean Connery hosts a Celebrity Lambpardy, with reigning champion Swedish Chef taking on Sam Elliott and Batman80:00 Audrey, Dylan and Jay look ahead to their most anticipated movies for the rest of 201786:40 Nick, Dylan and Jay roll a bunch of top 5s, on films missing from Criterion, good films starring bad actors and the number 40093:20 Lindsay joins Dylan and Jay in a bare-knuckle underground fight over David Fincher's filmography100:00 Bubbawheat, Dylan and Jay have a Marvellous time during their Franchise Lookback106:40 Why not take a break and listen to some ads?113:20 Everyone's ranting and raving!120:00 Is this the most epic game of Last Lamb Standing in history?
