In this episode I interview online client Simon Huckstepp.Simon lost a whopping 110lbs in just 7 months after deciding enough was enough.At the time he was tipping the scales at 140kg, boozing excessively and living off junk food.Initially he simply started juicing, living off nothing but blended fruit and vegetables each day, then 3 months into it he discovered our documentary and joined our paid members area.What he loved was the non judgemental atmosphere plus the support + accountability.He slowly stopped the juicing and introduced foods such as fish, chicken and steamed veggies.After learning about N.E.A.T in our community he bought a Fit-Bit and began to walk and cycle everywhere.This combined with the consistency of his daily nutrition saw him dropping around 7kgs per month!He now sits at 92kg with a goal of getting to 80kgs.Its a truly inspiring story from a normal guy who, at his worst, was sick in bed from too much alcohol but did not have the energy to clear it up, so slept in it.Added to that he could barely tie his shoe laces and did absolutely nothing with his son but now, due to his willingness to embrace change, has incredible energy and is able to be that active Dad and hero to his boy.Sit back, relax, grab a drink and enjoy.I hope you get as much value as I did.And as always, we would appreciate your feedback.Keep Truckin.Coach Tregs

In this episode I talk openly about depression, anxiety and male suicide.This was triggered by the tragic and recent loss of The Prodigy frontman who sadly took his own life in March.A hero to not just myself but to many other men of my age group this really got me thinking about the pressures we face daily as modern men that we often chose to hide from our loved ones.Having lost one of my best friends and co-founder of 30 Plus Men's Fitness, Mark Ramskill back in 2012 to suicide this recent event certainly stirred up a lot of emotions.Across the UK in 2018, a staggering 4,661 men took their own lives, this is a frightening figure indeed.Here I talk about some of the things that I have been through with anxiety and depression and how I overcame this.I also discuss why so many busy over 30s,40s and 50s men feel so overwhelmed in this day and age and yet at the same time unable to talk about it.This one is pretty deep, and if it helps 1 man to understand that they are not alone with their daily thoughts and anxieties then I have done my job.As always I'd love to hear your feedback. In this episode with just myself, I discuss some of the mistakes I have made during my 13 years in the industry.This was inspired by the news that the author of a booked called the 'PH Miracle' is being sued by a client in the US for over 100 million. The story is that he advised her to quit her chemotherapy and use his methods which include taking 'baking soda' from a tea-spoon to change the PH of the body so that the disease could not live in the supposed 'alkaline' state.This method failed and she now has not long left to live.I talk about going on courses in the past to continue my education only to be given similar misguided advise.Whilst I have never advised anyone who has cancer I admit I did used to tell people to 'alkalise' and 'detoxify' as this was the current message being passed on by my peers at the time.It's an open and honest talk where I'm happy to admit I got things wrong and am way more comfortable to give a much more logical message.Sit back, relax grab yourself a coffee and enjoy our chatter. In this podcast Mark interview's online fitness coach and medical Doctor Emil Goliath.Hailing from Cardiff, Emil has been training from a very young age and I met him around 13 years ago when I started my career in fitness where he was already a giant.Over the years he has pushed his body to extremes, first developing a love for strong man competitions in his early 20s and trying to esat up to 6000 calories per day!At 25 and almost 122kg he was getting tired just walking up the stairs and was verging on diabetes! It also didn't sit well with him that he had high blood pressure as a training medical doctor.He then decided to go the other way, found a passion for bodybuilding and went as low as 5% body fat for his first ever show!In this hour of conversation we discuss in depth his journey from strongman to bodybuilder and also talk in detail about the types of nutritional experiments he has undertaken to get a better grasp of nutrition.In recent times he has played around with both the vegan diet and currently the ketogenic diet of which he gives great insights into both.We rounded off the conversation by delving into the more holistic side of fitness from improving sleep to self development for the mind, something we are both massive believers in.This medically trained guy walks the talk and is extremely knowledgable and it was a real pleasure to have him join me.As always would love to hear your feedback. In this podcast Mark interview's online fitness trainer, James Smith.Hailing from Berkshire, James has only been in the fitness industry for around 4 to 5 years but he has literally blown up over the last 12 months on Social Media.His no nonsense approach to try and cut out the B-S in the industry has gained him an almost 'cult like' following and every video he posts gets massive traction and has often caused controversy too.I'll admit that I wasn't initially sure about James who can come across as arrogant at times, however after tracking him down and speaking to him I can confirm he is a top fella who was actually buzzing to be asked to come on the podcast (despite being 28!)In this 90 minute recording we talk about where it all began for James and I find out that he actually spent some time studying and playing Rugby in Gloucester and the Forest of Dean which is where I hail from.This lead to some great banter which included being tackled by a guy on a push bike during a Rugby match in one particularly rough area of Gloucester!We discuss some of his early jobs, which included working with a sheep shearer and therefore having to wrestle some sheep! Also how he got started in the industry and built his in person PT business.Now based in Sydney, Australia running a very successful online academy, we discuss the moment he decided to down tools in Berkshire and head across the pond to make a go of it in sunnier climates with just a few grand to his name.Aside from the banter we talk all things health and fitness including keto, clean eating, flexible dieting, cross-fit etc.Aside from all of this the story of his meteoric rise over the last 12 months is the thing I believe you will all get something from listening to. Going from having to sell his car just 2 years ago as he had £8 left on his overdraft to creating a million dollar business in 2017 simply by refusing to give up, getting up early daily and create video content which has gone viral worldwide.He describes his rise as 'weird' but had no option but to get aggressive on social media as he struggled to carve out an in person PT business in Sydney...If you were on the fence about James then in this podcast you will get to know him way more and cannot fail to laugh at some of his stories.It's a great story of a normal guy who just thought 'fuck it' whats the worse that could happen if this doesn't work?James thanks for your time bud, I see the start of a great friendship - your a good guy!As always would love to hear your feedback. In this podcast Mark interview's well respected coach Phil Learney.Phil has been a prominent figure in Strength and Conditioning fields for close to 20 years. In this time he has established and continues to build a reputation based around his intelligent, observational and results based coaching. Phil is without a doubt one of the most passionate guys I have ever spoken to in my 11 years in the industry.At 39 years old Phil's story reminds me a lot of my own. Overweight as a child he was bullied as a kid at school (thankfully this never happened to me) and has no qualms opening up about the lengths that it went to.Raised in a tough village up north, Phil quite openly talks about other kids throwing tables and chairs at him in class due to his weight and says that the bullying was relentless.This forced him to join a gym, lose the weight and starting lifting weights to improve his physique and confidence.
