EP139: Staying True To What We Know ft HebTroCo co-founder Ed

Ed and Brant came up with an idea in 2015 inside a pub to start up a brand to make trousers. They found out that Hebden Bridge, where they live, used to be known as Trousertown. It used to make 20,000 pairs of trousers, not a year but a week! Wow! That's a lot of trousers. Sadly, things started to decline in these places as we all know how manufacturing started to stop. Brant and Ed in the pub came up with an idea! So it began a kick-started and crowd fund, and 2016 HebTroCo was here to stay. The Mini•Pod EP5: AW24-25 Menswear Collections Highlights

Highlights of AW24-25 collection what was interesting from Details, Style, Textures, Silhouette, Colour, Elegant and design purpose. I've been following the shows that took place from Pitti Uomo, Milan to Paris, and overall some of the looks in menswear have been very wearable but focus on textiles and textures. Tailoring is huge as it always is, but most of all, it is oversized and loose tailoring with details and sporty. Tailoring is hugely important in menswear for my menswear. I've also like to mix sporty tailoring with classic tailoring. For me, the most stand out menswear has to be the following Neil Barett, Issey Miyake, Dries Van Noton, Botter and Fear of God America Symphony collection. Have a look at them and let me know what you think?

Last year, I recorded an episode with Mark Warman, the founder of Barnfield Customs, which was lost through technical issues. I decided to invite Mark to come and record again. Mark who's worked in digital marketing and had his own company in Marketing was not a stranger to entrepreneur, came up with an idea of reventing his grandfather army jacket, so he set on the journey in doing that. It was fascinating to chat with Mark, who doesn't come from a menswear background but has taken onboard the challenges that some of us know who are in the trade know how things work and of course the challenges and obstacles that we all face. After a year, I went back to talking to him, I found out how he developed and journeyed to get a jacket in the sense of a perfect functional product. But on going on the obstacles and challenges he went through, it was his 100% determination and passion for his brand.
