Mental Health Outpatient Programs at Snowden at Fredericksburg

Snowden at Fredericksburg has two outpatient programs for those in need of intensive therapy or substance abuse counseling. The Partial Hospitalization Program goes five days a week for seven hours each day. Most patients attend for two weeks, and the day includes group therapy, medication management, art and music therapy, and meditation. The Intensive Outpatient Program runs three days a week for three hours each day, and most patients attend for 8 weeks. It focuses on substance abuse recovery using a 12-step program.  We spoke with the program director and three patient graduates of the programs to hear more about how the programs have helped them.

The Mary Washington Healthcare Stroke Awareness program aims to increase community awareness about stroke. Despite progress in stroke prevention and improvements in medical care, stroke remains the fifth leading cause of death and the major cause of long-term disability in adults in the United States.  Stroke is a medical emergency.
