September Patreon Teaser - Mary King's Close (Lost Audio Special)

In the 25th Patreon bonus podcast we're doing something a little bit special. In April I found a hard drive containing audio from four investigations that I conducted in 2011 and 2012. Dozens of hours of audio that I lost around a decade ago, and I thought was lost forever. These were four absolutely incredible locations, and I have covered all four investigations - minus the audio from that night - on the podcast previously. So in the Patreon specials across June, July, August, and September I will revisit those episodes and add in the audio, which was seemingly lost forever. I've saved the best until last, and September's Patreon exclusive episode includes over two hours and 15 minutes of audio from that unforgettable night, so you can hear what happened, exactly as it happened. But what would happen when my team and I descended beneath the city streets to investigate this tourist attraction that has found infamy, since it opened in 2003, and is now regarded as one of the most haunted places, in an incredibly haunted city. Tonight, let us find out together as we ask the question, just how haunted is Mary King’s Close? Let us continue our time in the Czech Republic and visit a former prison in the heart of the country’s capital, Prague. What will the Director for the Department of Tourism have to tell me when I speak with him about the ghosts of this structure within the Prague Castle complex? And I will read you an email from a listener who visited while on holiday and has a tale to tell that is an incredible, as it is utterly terrifying. In the 23rd Patreon bonus podcast we're doing something a little bit special. In April I found a hard drive containing audio from four investigations that I conducted in 2011 and 2012. So in the Patreon specials across June, July, August, and September I will revisit those episodes and add in the audio, which was seemingly lost forever, last month I covered Middlethorpe Hall Hotel, and this time out its time to once again enter Edinburgh Dungeon. And the episode now over two hours of audio from that unforgettable night, so you can hear what happened, exactly as it happened. But what would happen when my team and I investigated a building designed to scare, disgust and terrify. Creepy, lifelike mannequins made up like torture victims, or a cannibalistic feast. Actors telling stories of the darkest periods in the history of this city. However could it actually be haunted? I investigated this location a decade ago, and received the biggest fright of my life. Ep 83 - The Beast of Bolam Lake

This time you join me on location in the wild, remote, Northumberland countryside, and we’re on a monster hunt as I search for an eight-foot-tall creature covered in thick hair, with glowing eyes, who causes the ground to shake whenever it is present. In early 2002 the nation's imagination was captured by the notion that this country park could be home to a bigfoot-type creature. Of course the area has a ghost, in the shape of the Bonny Lass of Belsay, and I will tell you of some of the other terrifying creatures that are said to lurk within England's most northern county. Bonus Episode 12 - Dalhousie Castle Hotel

Originally released for Patreons in August 2023 I hope you enjoy this very special episode. A castle built in the 13th century which now operates as a four star hotel is home to all manner of things that go bump in the night. In the Robert the Bruce room people see a figure walking through their room on a spiral staircase which no longer exists, and a shadowy figure which walks through the wall in the Wallace Suite. June Patreon Teaser - Middlethorpe Hall Hotel (Lost Audio Special)

In the 22st Patreon bonus podcast we're doing something a bit special. So in the Patreon specials across June, July, August, and September I will revisit those episodes and add in the audio, which was seemingly lost forever, starting with this month's episode which was originally released in October 2022, the second ever Patreon episode, which I have rewritten and re-recorded, and now includes almost 1 hour and 20 minutes of audio from that unforgetable night, so you can hear what happened, exactly as it happened. Join my good friends John and Rich and I in the most haunted city on earth, as we stay overnight at a 17th century hotel. that has accommodated Hollywood stars and royalty. But would we manage to get a good night’s sleep? Let us find out together as we ask the question, just how haunted is Middlethorpe Hall Hotel? Bonus Episode 11 - The York Dungeon

Originally released for Patreons in July 2023 I hope you enjoy this very special episode. A tourist attraction in the heart of one of the scariest cities anywhere on earth, offering frightening fun to families who enjoy ghoulish and gory stories told by actors made up as characters from this city’s dark past. When the public have gone home, and this intentionally creepy building is left empty and silence, could there be more to it than meets the eye?  With rumours of strange lights appearing and blinking on command, strange knocks seeming to come in answer to questions, and even the apparitions of a caretaker and a young girl, it certainly seems this may be the case. But what would I experience when my team and I investigated this building back in 2011? Let's find out together when we spent some time after dark inside a building that is scary by design, and ask how haunted is the York Dungeon? Bonus Episode 10 - The Cammo Estate

Originally released for Patreons in June 2023 I hope you enjoy this very special episode. A grand estate built around a house built in 1693, and destroyed by fire in 1977 is said to be the haunt of shadowy figures belonging to those who knew the building so well in life. The stable block, added in 1811, is one of the more active areas. Why this is the case we’ll likely never know. Phantom lights float around the house, and whispering is heard deep in the woodland. Dogs howl and bark within the grounds in the dead of night, and can be heard for miles around. Would I encounter any of these phantoms when my team and I investigated this estate back in the spring of 2012? Let's find out together. Tonight, join me for a very special episode, as we return to Edinburgh and ask just how haunted is the Cammo Estate? March Patreon Teaser - The Lit & Phil

In the 19th Patreon bonus podcast you join me as I investigate a building dating from 1825, which is today the largest independent library outside of London. This was the first public building lit by an electric lightbulb and in 1830 a mummy from Egypt was unwrapped right here. But what would happen when, joined by fellow Geordie podcaster, Icy Sedgwick, we attended a fundraising ghost hunt at this historic location in our home town. Some have claimed that this building could be the home of 16 individual spirits, including a former librarian who still the flicks through the books after dark. Bonus Episode 9 - Haggerston Castle Holiday Park

Originally released for Patreons in May 2023 I hope you enjoy this very special episode. A popular holiday park built around a 13th century castle. This is not your typical location for a paranormal investigation, a holiday park full of luxury caravans and holiday makers spending their weekends boating on the lake, or playing on the arcades and fruit machines. What they’re all blissfully unaware of however is the darker side of this particular holiday park. The ghosts and ghouls that roam the older parts. These include the Victorian lady who roams the Rotunda, the small child seen within the summer house, and the man seen walking through the Italian gardens. Would I encounter any of these phantoms when my team and I investigated this holiday park one summer’s night? Let’s find out together. Tonight, join me for a very special episode, as in the month that my new book Paranormal Northumberland is released, we head to that very county and turn our attention, rather unusually, to Haggerston Castle Holiday Park. February Patreon Teaser - Dean Court Hotel

In the 18th Patreon bonus podcast we return once more to York, and in particular to a hotel in the shadow of York Minster which was originally built between 1864 and 1865 as three separate dwellings for the Dean of York Minster, to house the Clergy. But what would happen when my team and I stepped foot inside this hotel, which has been labelled the most haunted in York by some, considering that only two weeks before our investigation the hotel had made the local news when a guest was pulled out of bed by his feet by unseen hands. Episode 1 REMASTERED - Greyfriars Kirkyard

To celebrate the first birthday of How Haunted? on the 2nd September, I've revisited the first ever episode and added a little over 15 minutes of audio from the investigation I conducted at the Covenanter's Prison, a place so dark and dangerous that no one else has ever been allowed to investigate here.   This was initially only available to Patreons, if you want to get access to Patreon content when it's initially released check out Patreon.com/howhauntedpod    Thank you so much for supporting the podcast!   With ties to Greyfriars' Bobby and Harry Potter, Greyfriars Kirkyard in Edinburgh is a fascinating location. In this inaugural episode of How Haunted? let's look at the darker side of the graveyard as we look at the dangerous Mackenzie Poltergeist of the Covenanter's Prison.   We'll delve into the history the ghost stories, and what would happen when Rob was able to spend some time all alone in the Black Mausoleum, the site of over 4000 physical attacks by the violent phantom?   Find out when, together, we ask How Haunted is Greyfriars Kirkyard?   Support How Haunted? by subscribing and leaving a review. This time we begin a two-part special in which we look at the favourite toy of many children, all over the globe, a delightful companion that provides many years of companionship in those early innocent years of life. However when we grow older their fixed grin and staring vacant eyes of a child’s doll can be the stuff of nightmares. Bonus Episode 8 - The National Railway Museum

Originally released for Patreons in April I hope you enjoy this very special episode. A popular railway museum, which opened in 1975, is said to be the haunt of a number of ghosts. Paul, a violent entity who lurks in the ladies toilets, George who remains within the Travelling Post Office, and still takes huge pride in his work, many years following his passing, a tall man in a top hat, a mischievous spirit who likes to mess up the gift shop after dark, the archives has been the scene of terrifying possessions, and a haunted train carriage which was once used as a mobile brother by the Nazis during the second world war. Would I encounter any of these phantoms when my team and I joined another group to investigate this building after dark? Let’s find out together. Tonight, join me for a very special episode, as I once again take on one of the scariest places in York, this time, the National Railway Museum. The Nightmare Before Christmas 2023

The second annual Nightmare Before Christmas special is upon us, and in this special episode I will read real ghost stories from listeners. Christmas is intrinsically linked with the telling of ghost stories, so it seems like the perfect time to tell these stories of timeslips, premonitions, gifts from beyond the grave, and frightening encounters with the dead. There’ll also be polterguests dropping by, in the form of authors, podcasters, bloggers and YouTubers, and they’ll tell you of their own scary experiences in their own words. Two of these stories are accompanied by audio recordings which are most definitely not for those of a nervous disposition, as they appear to capture the voices of the dead. You have been warned. Huge thank you to Carole, Dorothy, Karen, Craig, Barney, Jim, and 'Michael' for sending in their stories for me to read.  And an equally enormous thanks to my polterguests, Emma, Rob, Icy and Nicky, who contributed to this Christmas special. You can find Icy Sedgwick's podcast at https://pod.co/fabulous-folklore-with-icy  Her Halloween special, which is a chat with me about ghosts while we sat inside Newcastle's oldest building is at https://pod.co/fabulous-folklore-with-icy/two-ghost-hunters-in-conversation-at-newcastle-castle  And Icy's website is at https://www.icysedgwick.com  Emma's blog is at https://weird-wiltshire.co.uk  Rob's frightfully good YouTube channel is at https://www.youtube.com/@DeadAirTV  And Nicky and Charles Wright's new podcast, The World's Most Haunted, is going to launch in early 2024. You can find out more at their website https://theworldsmosthaunted.com/ or their YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@TheWorldsMostHaunted  Thanks to you for listening to How Haunted? this year. Ep 64 - The London Underground Part 1

Let's begin a journey beneath the streets of England’s capital city and explore the world’s oldest underground railway. A railway system said to be home to the largest concentration of ghosts anywhere in Britain, and when you consider the thousands of accidental deaths and suicides that have occurred here in the 160 years since it first opened, as well as the cemeteries, plague pits, and crypts disturbed during the construction of the stations, it comes as little wonder. The ghost of a murdered drummer boy is still heard playing his drums on the battlements. The sights and sounds of World War 2 are heard in the secret tunnels that run beneath the castle. Halloween 2023 - The Ghosts of Jack the Ripper’s Whitechapel

The scariest time of the year is here, when darkness reigns and the veil between worlds is at its thinnest. Tonight, as the moon casts an eerie glow on the world below, and the wind whispers ancient secrets, we venture into a realm where the extraordinary becomes ordinary, and the mundane fades away. But beware, dear listener, as the subject of this year’s Halloween special is most definitely not the faint of heart. For tonight we embark on a spine-chilling journey through the haunting streets of Whitechapel, as we unravel the mysteries surrounding one of the most notorious figures in history: Jack the Ripper. In our quest for truth and understanding, we will walk in the footsteps of Jack the Ripper himself, peering into the shadowy corners where his victims met their untimely demise. And we’ll get to know Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes, and Mary Jane Kelly—the five canonical victims of Jack the Ripper, each murdered in the most horrific manner imaginable. And we’ll seek out the ghosts of Whitechapel. Reports of ghostly apparitions, eerie footsteps, and mysterious sounds have plagued this area of England’s capital for the last 135 years. Are these spectral echoes the tormented souls of those who met their end at the hands of the Ripper? Tonight, on the scariest night of the year turn the lights down low, and join me as I guide you through the East End of London as we ask just how haunted is Jack the Ripper’s Whitechapel? Bonus Episode 6 - The Victoria Tunnel

Originally released for Patreons in February, I hope you enjoy this very special episode. In 1839 work commenced to build a tunnel over two miles long beneath the streets of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the north east of England, this was to get coal to the River Tyne. In later years it would provide shelter to the people of the city during German bombing raids during World War 2. It was then left empty, abandoned, and forgotten, before the damp, dark, eerie tunnel was reopened as a historic visitor attraction in more recent years. Since reopening however, what it clear is that the tunnel wasn’t as empty as it first seemed, as the ghosts of the past remained underground. Waiting. Shadows are seen, talking is heard, and even a deep, unmistakable growl.   But what would be lying in wait for me, when I led my small team into this unwelcoming Victoria Tunnel after dark?   To get episodes such as this sooner, you can become a Patreon for £3 a month, and get yourself early access to episodes, and more exclusive episodes where Rob will conduct ghost hunts and you'll hear the audio from the night.  To sign up visit https://patreon.com/HowHauntedPod   Perhaps you'd rather buy me a coffee to make a one off donation to support the pod, you can do that at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/HowHauntedPod   Find out more about the pod at https://www.how-haunted.com and you can email Rob at [email protected]   Background music included in this episode includes: Horror Story https://youtu.be/VebaguxUJWE   Music in this episode includes: "Darren Curtis - Demented Nightmare" https://youtu.be/g_O4kS9FP3k   " HORROR PIANO MUSIC " composed and produced by "Vivek Abhishek" Music link : https://youtu.be/xbjuAGgk5lU SUBSCRIBE us on YOUTUBE: https://youtu.be/DQQmmCl8crQ Follow on Facebook: https://bit.ly/33RWRtP Follow on Instagram: https://bit.ly/2ImU2JV

Ep 49 - Talkin Tarn

In the heart of Cumbria in the north west of England is a glacial lake which holds a dark secret. In the mid-19th century a woman was held beneath the water’s surface by her lover until she was dead. Today she is seen walking from the lake, to the sheer horror of anyone who sees her. With alleged alien encounters and a legend of a ruined village beneath the centre of the lake, is there more to this fairly innocuous lake in the middle of the countryside than meets the eye?   This week we head to the beautiful countryside of Cumbria, and ask just how haunted is Talkin Tarn? A 15th century castle built on the site of a 1st century fort, is the haunt of a whole host of ghosts that were linked to this place in life, and have not been able to move on in death. A nursemaid who was accidently responsible for the death of the owner of the castle’s child was punished by her own life being taken, the ghost of a one-eyed woman, and the tormented soul of the treacherous nephew of the castle’s chief who was left to die of thirst in the dungeon and more, all remain here in perpetuity. Ep 47 - The Ghost Walk of Savannah, Georgia Part 2

Last week we began our spooky tour of the most haunted city in the United States of America, a place with a rich history and a reputation worldwide for its ghosts. From the Revolutionary War to the Civil War, it has seen its fair share of death and destruction. And some say that the spirits of those who died here still linger in the shadows. This week we conclude our time in the haunted south of America, and ask again, just how haunted is Savannah, Georgia? July Patreon Teaser - The York Dungeon

Ep 45 - Hoia-Baciu Forest

Transylvania is a place synonymous with all things paranormal, a region so scary it should be twinned with Jurassic Park. And of course it is known as the home of the vampire. I promise that we will return to Transylvania in a future episode with the focus firmly on those neck-obsessed, nocturnal, coffin-dwelling, shapeshifting creatures, but this time out we’re looking at a forest located within Transylvania, that doesn’t have ties to vampires, but is claimed to be one of the scariest, most paranormally active places on Planet Earth. UFOs, ghosts, and baffling disappearances are reported here all too often.   This week we dare to enter a place which has been called “the Bermuda Triangle of Romania” and ask just how haunted is the Hoia Baciu Forest? Ep 42 - York Tyburn

In 1379 a prisoner made their final journey, the longest journey he would ever make, as his destination was the gallows, where, before a crowd could barely wait to see his dangle by his neck until dead. In 1801 these gallows claimed it’s final victim, and in the 422 years in between hundreds of condemned met their end here, including the most famous highwayman that there ever was. The site where the gallows once stood appears to have been stained by the extreme death and suffering that occurred here, which manifests itself in people being touched by unseen hands, and disembodied voices carried on the breeze. June Patreon Teaser - The Cammo Estate

May Patreon Teaser - Haggerston Castle Holiday Park

Bonus Episode 3 - Edinburgh Vaults (Enhanced Version of Ep 10)

This is an enhanced version of episode 10 with actual audio from the investigation. In 1985 a tunnel was found by a Scottish international rugby player, that led to an enormous underground complex, that had once been a thriving, lawless, city beneath Edinburgh.  This is a very paranormally active place indeed, with one malevolent phantom in particular being very unappreciative of the visitors who come here daily on tours. I investigated this location a decade ago, and encountered this foul-mouthed, dangerous entity for myself, in what quickly escalated into the most dangerous investigation I had ever led. Have the Vaults earned their reputation, as being one of the most fearsome places in Scotland? Let's find out together, when we ask How Haunted are the Edinburgh Vaults? There is an enhanced version of the podcast on Patreon, which includes audio from the investigation. Ep 33 - Newsham Park Hospital

Originally built as a children’s orphanage, before becoming a hospital, and then later a lunatic asylum. This building has bore witness to all manner of horrors, including the death of a small unloved child who was locked in a cupboard as a punishment, and forgotten about, only to be found dead later. Today knocking, banging, screaming, and sobbing is heard from within cupboards in that area, which is nicknamed the Naughty Boys Corridor. It’s stood empty and abandoned for over 25 years, and has a growing reputation which has seen it regularly named in top 10 lists in recent years of the most haunted places to be found in the UK. Full apparitions, and shadowy figures are seen all too often here and send people screaming in terror. Old wheelchairs and gurneys, remnants of the building’s past, move all on their own. People have reported the feeling of being pushed down and feeling sick and left physically shaking in some areas of this location. Whereas others have simply broken down in floods of tears, feeling utter despair and sadness for no apparent reason. Tonight, let us head to one of the scariest places  in Liverpool and ask just how haunted is Newsham Park Hospital? Ep 26 - Winter’s Gibbet

A monument to murder stands high above the village of Elsdon, in the remote moorlands of Northumberland. This stands as a reminder of a vicious murder which occurred in 1791, when a defenceless old lady was killed by three criminals who wanted to steal her wares to make some easy money. They were caught, and executed, and one of them had his body hung in a gibbet cage as a warning to others. February Patreon Teaser - The Victoria Tunnel

Get access to the full episode right now at https://www.patreon.com/howhauntedpod.   Find out more about the pod at https://www.how-haunted.com and you can email Rob at [email protected]   Background music included in this episode includes: Horror Story https://youtu.be/VebaguxUJWE   Music in this episode includes: "Darren Curtis - Demented Nightmare" https://youtu.be/g_O4kS9FP3k   " HORROR PIANO MUSIC " composed and produced by "Vivek Abhishek" Music link : https://youtu.be/xbjuAGgk5lU SUBSCRIBE us on YOUTUBE: https://youtu.be/DQQmmCl8crQ Follow on Facebook: https://bit.ly/33RWRtP Follow on Instagram: https://bit.ly/2ImU2JV

Ep 23 - The Hellfire Club of Dublin

Overlooking Dublin and its surroundings, upon the crest of 1250 foot Hill, surrounded by dense woodland sits an ominous ruin made from the stone of a 5000-year-old grave. This structure is steeped in rumour of satanic worship and human and animal sacrifice. A club, feared by locals met here regularly in the 18th century and indulged in all manner of sordid behaviour. This has left its mark on the isolated old hunting lodge, which is now considered one of the most haunted locations anywhere on the Emerald Isle. Ep 20 - The Amityville Horror House

One of the most haunted houses in America, if not the world, this previously unassuming property was the scene of a mass murder back in November of 1974, which appears to have kickstarted some absolutely horrifying paranormal activity, including slime oozing from the walls, family members levitating in their bed, and a demonic red-eyed pig monster. After just 28 days the family fled their new home and the house on Ocean Avenue, Long Island has lived in infamy ever since. But is this house genuinely as haunted as we would be led to believe?  Let's find out together when we ask How Haunted is the Amityville Horror House? Ep 19 - Muncaster Castle

Built on foundations dating back to the Roman occupation of Britain, this castle, constructed in 1258, has been the focus of studies for 30 years, due to the incredible frequency of the paranormal occurrences. Occurrences including babies crying, children singing, and shadowy figures. An experienced team of paranormal investigators came to the castle to conduct an investigation, but no sooner had their ghost hunt begun, the phantoms within the Tapestry Room, the most active room in this 800 year old fortress, sent them fleeing into the wilderness of the Lake District as they feared for their lives. Ep 18 - Mary King’s Close

Below Edinburgh’s famous Royal Mile lies a historic close that was once a thriving community in it’s own right, open to the skies above, and named, unusually for the 17th century for a woman who was the most successful businesswoman here until her death in 1644. The building of the Royal Exchange in the 18th century spelled the end for this place, and it would be, eventually, buried beneath the city streets, lost and unused. The close became shrouded in myths and urban legends; with terrifying tales of the ghosts that remain at the close they knew so well in life. When it was opened as a tourist attraction in 2003, it found new levels of infamy, and is now regarded as one of the most haunted places, in an incredibly haunted city. I investigated this location in 2012 while writing my book Ghosts of Edinburgh. Find out exactly what happened on that dark October evening, as tonight. join me as we once again venture below the streets of Edinburgh. The Nightmare Before Christmas 2022

Christmas is a wonderous time for those people who celebrate it, where families and friends get together and exchange presents, watch Christmas movies, play games, and gorge themselves silly on enormous roast dinners. It’s also a time, traditionally, of telling one another scary tales. The 1963 Christmas song, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” even features the line “There'll be scary ghost stories”. But while people, such as you, are having all this festive fun, could there be an unwelcome guest there, with them, in their very home? On How Haunted? we’ve looked at castles, churchyards, jails, places that have bloody history, an eerie atmosphere, and are traditionally seen as locations that have the potential to be haunted. But this time out we’re going to focus on somewhere closer to home. Literally. Tonight, join me as we look at some horrifying examples of hauntings in every day family homes. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND ALL THE VERY, VERY BEST FOR 2023. Ep 16 - Crumlin Road Gaol

The only Victorian era prison still standing in the city of Belfast in Northern Ireland, was once known as Europe’s Alcatraz. Dating from 1845, this was a place of incarceration and execution. It closed in 1996 and ever since visitors have reported all manner of paranormal occurrences such as things moving of their own accord, voices from empty cells, and ghosts have been seen and photographed.  It is considered one of the most haunted placed in this capital city, but is it worthy of such a reputation? Tonight, join me as we dare to enter the empty, silent prison of Crumlin Road Gaol. Huge thanks to Jenny Boanca for telling me all about her visit to the haunted prison in this episode. Ep 15 - Dunstanburgh Castle

In a remote location, high above the North Sea, this castle has over 700 years of history, a turbulent past which has left it as a ruinous reminder of the violence and bloodshed that Northumberland has witnessed. Ep 14 - Highgate Cemetery

One of London’s best-known cemeteries, in fact it’s considered one of London’s magnificent seven Victorian graveyards. Dating back to 1839, there are believed to be around 170,000 bodies buried beneath the ground here. This graveyard has earned a frightning reputation in more recent years with stories of men clad in all black conducting dark rituals here. Spooks and specters flit about quickly between the 53,000 gravestones, and red eyed demons call this place home. Then most famously of all is the vampire that preys on its victims here, in England’s capital. Let's find out together, when we ask How Haunted is Highgate Cemetery? Ep 10 - Edinburgh Vaults

Ep 8 - The Wheatsheaf Part 2

Part two of a two-part special sees us return to the Wheatsheaf public house in West Boldon, Tyne and Wear made news worldwide in late 2004 when a psychic night for charity was the catalyst for a series of events so incredible, and horrifying, that the Discovery Channel turned it into an episode for their “A Haunting” series, which was watched by over 20 million people. The pub, which was named the most haunted in the UK in the same year, following these events, held a secret that had been locked away for a century, until Suzanne walked into the pub that night, and blew the whole thing wide open, much to the displeasure of a malevolent spirit which then threatened to kill her. You'll hear the rest of the horrifying chain of events directly from Suzanne Gill, the psychic at the centre of the events, in the first part of an interview I conducted with her all about that night at the Wheatsheaf, and the weeks and months that followed. What's more, you'll hear two very scary EVPs which appeared on our Zoom call, just after Suzanne had been telling me how the threatening ghost of Joseph had said he was going to kill her, when the audio wasn't heard at the time, but later was heard on recording equipment. Is this something explained away as a glitch on the audio, or something far darker? Let's find out together, when we ask How Haunted is the Wheatsheaf pub? Thanks so much to Suzanne Gill for taking the time to talk to me, you can contact Suzanne and find out more about her books she's written all about the horror at the Wheatsheaf over on her website at https://suzanne-gill-spiritualist.org Support How Haunted? by subscribing and leaving a review. Ep 6 - The Ancient Ram Inn

An 800-year-old former-inn regularly placed at the top of lists of the most haunted places in the world. A place so dark and dangerous that the once Bishop of Gloucester, the Rev John Yates, is said to have tried and failed to exorcise the building and was quoted in the Western Daily Press as saying it was "the evilest place I have ever had the misfortune to visit.” A building constructed atop a 5000-year-old Pagan burial ground, and the skeletal remains of a woman and child were found beneath the floor of the inn, along with an iron dagger, leading to suspicions these unfortunate souls may have been killed as human sacrifices. The building is home to all manner of things that go bump in the night, but does it live up to its infamous reputation? Let's find out together, when we ask How Haunted is the Ancient Ram Inn Huge thanks to Emma Heard from https://weird-wiltshire.co.uk for joining me to talk about her investigation at the Ancient Ram Inn back in May 2022. Ep 5 - The Roman Colosseum

Dating back almost 2000 years, the Colosseum stands today as one of the new "Seven Wonders", and is one of the most recognisable, and most visited, landmarks on earth.  For five centuries men, women, and animals were brutally killed in front of a crowd of up to 80,000 in gladiator battles, animal hunts, and executions. Around 400,000 humans and over a million animals were slain here, all for the entertainment of the people of Rome.  Its undeniable that this much bloodshed has forever left its mark on the Colosseum, which is today considered the most haunted building in Rome, if not all of Italy. Together let's look at the history and hauntings, and find out if it deserving of it's reputation of being a hive of paranormal activity?
