Norman Polden (station manager, Flame CCR) takes the opportunity to testify to God's goodness in helping him through sudden traumatic disability in February 2018. King & Country's music track "JOY" echoes in Norman's mind and in this short audio track as he reflects on James 1 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything".Now in January 2023, 5 years on from this traumatic event, Norman is still actively managing Flame CCR and enjoying life at home in Greasby, Wirral.

Chris and his wife Pauline (Flame team members) are now back in their listed home and Chris reflects on how, as a Christian, he positively felt the Lord's protection through the explosion and the aftermath. Chris has been the public voice of the local residents in the media and has doggedly plodded through the frustrating task of trying to get government, local and national, to do something. Wirral Borough Council are now beginning to admit many procedural mistakes that left the affected people with little support, apart from the magnificent help of local churches and charities.

CHAT ROOM - Chris Lambrianou (the rise and rise of God's footsoldier), July 2019
Christopher Lambrianou was a brief member of "The Firm" (notably the Kray Twins, from the East End of London) who dominated London's underworld in the 1960s.Chris was present at the murder of Jack McVitie, receiving a sentence of life imprisonment with a recommendation to serve at least fifteen years in 1969, together with his younger brother, Tony Lambrianou.A career criminal, after serving his fifteen years in prison for helping to dispose of Jack McVitie's body, Chris Lambrianou was determined to go straight and worked at The Ley Community, a drug rehabilitation centre. In this recent conversation with Joshua Francis, Joshua asks Chris ... "you are such a nice person, what happened in 1983 ?" ... Chris replied "God happened" and laughed. He does not give that answer to the media because they do not understand it. But Chris is a changed man, through the power of the Holy Spirit ... and in his 80s he is actively trying to raise funding the prevent the closure of the "The Ley Community", www.leycommunity.co.uk, a Christian rehabilitation centre in Oxford which, as Chris says, can reform hardened criminals in ways that prison cannot. In this detailed interview, well researched by Joshua Francis Chris talks about his whole life, although he does also reveal some detail of his criminal activities which we suspect he has not talked about before. The programme includes a song "Lay off of The Ley" written by Joshua and Chris which they hope will raise interest and sympathy for the Ley Community as it struggles for its very existence.

CHAT ROOM - The Bogside Artists part 3 (Tom Kelly, Wellspring church, Derry) October 2018
"TOM KELLY was born into abject poverty in Derry, Northern Ireland and into a staunch Catholic family and community. He sought meaning and new life by travelling, especially to Dublin and also London - where he was questioned by Special Branch and sent back to Derry. There, a remarkable conversion to Jesus led to Tom becoming an evangelist within his community in the middle of a low-level civil war. Tom recalls what The Troubles were like, the times when he witnessed to masked-gunmen at IRA check-points, the death-threats he's received and how he went on to start up the Wellspring Church with a simple five letter word GRACE. Tom is also part of The Bogside Artists, whose work is now recognised world-wide but ignored by Derry Council. Parts 1 and 2 of this trilogy of programmes on the Bogside Artists are also accessible via Flame CCR's LISTEN AGAIN".

Blessed with an incisive intellect and considerable theological as well as scientific expertise, he became a formidable opponent of evolutionism, and is widely regarded as one of the world's top apologists for the Biblical (six-day) account of creation and the historical accuracy of the Genesis record. Now based in the USA, his books include the popular "Refuting Evolution" series, "Refuting Compromise" and "The Greatest Hoax on Earth" - a vigorous rebuttal of Richard Dawkins and the "new atheists". His latest publication "The Genesis Account" is an in-depth commentary on Genesis 1-11, and is a work of considerable scholarship, combining history, theology and science, and looks set to become a classic in its field. Whilst on a UK tour he recorded this interview at Flame.

Jesse hails from Cornwall and is a Christian who believes in courting controversy for the sake of the Gospel. He certainly did that when, as Librarian in Bodmin, he first arranged a shelf of books labelled "books you hate" and then added a shelf "books you would like to burn". Jesse Foot is a liberal politician at local level, and is related to a famous UK politician, Michael Foot who was MP for Plymouth Devonport, and became Leader of the UK Labour Opposition from 1980 to 1983.
