His murder helped shape Batman into the dark, brooding knight we still see today, while his resurrection opened old wounds. Today, we take a look at the death and life of Jason Todd! First, Dan and Mike discuss A Death in the Family, A Lonely Place of Dying, and Under the Hood. Then James returns as he and Mike breakdown the animated feature Batman: Under the Red Hood!

Dan and Mike sit down to talk comics, specifically their experiences getting into the medium, falling out of it, then back in, their first storylines and collected editions, books they could never get into, and so much more.

Dan and Mike take an in depth look at The Trial of the Incredible Hulk, featuring Street Hawk's Rex Smith as Matt Murdock / Daredevil. Then they dive into the first two episodes of the Daredevil Netflix series, which just might be the best production to come out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After playing an extended opening theme and completely failing to deliver a coherent intro, Pandy and Christian rank the five most British and most American characters, along with their favorite fictional figures from neither the UK nor the US. (Note: Not recommended for Trump supporters or Brexiteers.)

First: Hannah and Jim briefly drop into Mass Effect: Andromeda, Nier: Automata, the end of Divinity III, how Matt Kindt can do all these comics, and briefly reference a current comics thing. And second: What makes a good anime adaptation in live-action? Ghost in the Shell may come the closest, but it still misses the mark in terms of translating the philosophical soul of the original series. Donovan and Harry sit down to discuss the controversial film, going through the number of ways the script works against not only the spirit of the franchise but its own plot, the meticulous recreation of scenes from the 1995 film, and how translations from other media loses the source material.

Wasn't there a Previews episode the show before last? Yes, yes there was. That one was rather late in the month, whereas this one is as early as possible. Enjoy.

Will has seen 2017's Power Rangers and presents his thoughts after taking a few moments to talk about why the previous Power Rangers films might not have worked. This episode is probably not brought to you by Krispy Kreme.

Why are Dan and Mike covering Marvel Team-Up #32, along with The Brave and the Bold #118, instead of an issue of Marvel Two-in-One? For the answer to that, you'll have to listen. But that's not why you're here. You're here to hear about that dog. That poor, poor dog.

As they make their way through the fall 1983 Saturday morning animated lineup for CBS, Will and Dan bear witness to a surreal descent into abject madness, which astonishingly does not come at the hands of obnoxious tiny puppy knights, flashdancing beagles, or stock car racing moonshiners facing off against the grand wizard of the leprechauns. What is donut?

Put on your monocles and smoking jackets! In this edition of List and Shout, Pandy and Christian collude with Donovan Morgan Grant to invest in the fictional rich. Specifically, noble philanthropists, heartless misers, and the foolish purchases made between the two. During their survey, the three gentlemen encounter Leicester's second coolest pair of brothers, learn to how to befriend a certain bearded comics legend, and reveal the true fate of the Titanic.

Hannah and Jim get to talking, and oh man, do they have things to say. Such things include, but are not limited to: a review of X-O Manowar #1, a discussion of the impending Batwoman relaunch, discussion of Marvel's May cancellations, a review of that godawful vampire-Viking-angel-fighting-ISIS book, a Marguerite Bennett extravaganza, Carol Danvers getting hit with the idiot ball, and so much more. Four hours worth of more, in fact. Also, this segment finally has a name, which you won't know until the end of the episode.

Kids, don't watch crappy movies while drunk. Otherwise, you'll end up like Will and taking an inebriated look at 2015's Jem and The Holograms and 2001's Josie and The Pussycats. You start noticing the similarities. Then you realize how much the failure of films geared towards teenage girls is partially to blame due to them. You also get a bad hangover.

Pandy and Christian hit more spoilers than usual, the two best films of the 1960s, and the genius of Michael Giacchino as they dig up the most sadly, the most stupidly, and the most deservedly deceased.

First, Donovan takes a look at Steven Universe #1 from KaBOOM! Then Mike revisits episode 851 by comparing five of the seven trailers he looked at in said episode to their respective 2016 movies.

As it is each month, Mike botches his way through the Previews catalog! Bonus: There are spoilers for The Clone Conspiracy between 39:20 and 40:24.

Friends met The Real World in this failed attempt to bring the Justice League of America to live-action TV in 1997. Yet, despite all of its failings (and there are many), Dan and Mike find something to enjoy in this odd take on superheroes.

Leading up to the 2017 American movie, the guys discuss the kinky, esoteric tendencies of the original manga; the philosophical ponderings and relentless nudity of the transcendent 1995 animated film; the complex television series, Stand Alone Complex, and its sequel, 2nd GIG; the bleakness of the movie sequel, Innocence; the betrayal of the series reboot, Arise; and the potential hopes and trepidation of the controversially cast Scarlett Johansson US adaptation!

Today's special is The Leprechauns' Christmas Gold, and Will cannot figure out what it has to do with Christmas. Then Mike spreads more Punisher-themed seasonal joy by discussing Punisher: Red X-Mas, Punisher: Silent Night, Punisher: X-Mas Special, and Punisher MAX X-Mas Special.

Will covers Frosty's Winter Wonderland, which is weird. And Mike plays a radio adaptation of Miracle on 34th Street.

After three long days of talking about The Smurfs, Will finds something actually decent in The Town that Santa Forgot. Then, in a team-up some thought would never happen, and others thought probably shouldn't, Dave Probert and Pandy Wilson join forces in what is supposed to be a review of their media consumption of 2016. Yet, somehow, they also end up talking about darts-themed game shows from the 1980s, wrestling from the 1990s (particularly how Vince McMahon would have booked Emmeline Pankhurst), nitpick the film Nativity,and recommend a variety of Hammer films. It's the review of the year you didn't realize you needed.

Will covers even more mothersmurfing Smurfs with The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol. Charles Dickens would be Smurfing Smurfed about this. After that, Mike discusses The Punisher Holiday Special #1-3.

Will thinks 'Tis the Season to Be Smurfy can go Smurf itself. Then the detectives of Dragnet have 24 hours to locate a missing statue in a tale called "The Big Little Jesus."

In The Smurfs Christmas Special, Will tries to make some Smurfing sense of a wholly nonsensical plot. Then Dan and Mike try to make sense of Batman: Year Two. All around, there's little success.

Will watches Bluetoes, the Christmas Elf and wonders why Santa has to be a jerk. Then Wendee, Dan, and Mike complete their Ewok adventure by discussing Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, which stars an oatmeal salesman, an assistant principal, and a Dame.

The Bears Who Saved Christmas has talking teddy bears. Will isn't sure if there's much more than that. Then listen as the detectives of Dragnet investigate the somber tale called ".22 Rifle for Christmas."

First, Will heads to Canada to look at A Cosmic Christmas. Then, in spirit of The Twelve Days of Christmas, and the 50th anniversary of his passing, Christian, Pandy, and Kelly discuss each of their 12 favorite Walt Disney songs. (Followed by a swift kicking of the songs and movies they have less-than-fond feelings for.) Which song does Pandy insist has gay undertones? Which of Christian's picks briefly traumatizes both Wilsons? And which classic Disney number is actually about Alan Turing? Before presenting the main course, however, Pandy and Christian serve an appetizer of outtakes from year two of List and Shout!

Mike dives into the Earth-2.net: The Show archives one more time and pulls out the final installment of The Fantasticast, in which Des and Mike (from 2008) discuss Amazing Spider-Man #1, Fantastic Four Annual #1, and What If? #1. First up, though, Will was happy. Then he watched Noel.

It's been four months since the last installment, but Earth-2-in-1 has returned! This time, Dan and Mike look at Marvel Two-in-One #1 (in which The Thing aims to knock Man-Thing's head off) and The Brave and the Bold #110 (in which Batman and Wildcat take on an evil oil corporation).

January may be coming to a close, but that doesn't mean it's too late to hear the Previews episode.

This year, Earth-2.net celebrates its 10th anniversary. As such, each month you'll be treated to something special on the site. Kicking off the festivities is this gem from deep within the Earth-2.net archives. In 2008, Des and Mike recorded four episodes of a podcast that was to be called The Fantasticast. Their aim was to read and discuss every single issue of Fantastic Four, starting with Fantastic Four #1-4 from 1961. Why did the show never become a fully realized reality? For that answer, you'll need to listen to Mike's intro. After that, however, you'll hear the first installment of said unaired show, filled with now-dated references, one of the best Freudian slips ever, letters of dubious origin, and so much more. Hosted by Earth-2.net's very own Blackadder and Baldrick (Christian Honore and Ian Wilson), this episode runs through the unaired 1982 pilot, all four series, plus the specials: Blackadder: The Cavalier Years, Blackadder's Christmas Carol, and Blackadder: Back & Forth. Quite simply, it's the whole damn dynasty!

The final Hey, Gurlfriend of 2013 chills out by looking at Disney's most recent animated film: Frozen. From the beautiful music to Kristen Bell, there's so much gushing going on. Also, Will gives some advice to live by.

The 2013 Earth-2.net: The Show Advent Calendar finishes with a little Disney magic as Kellen and Will review Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse. While it may reuse some footage from the show it's based on, how can you go wrong when you wrap it around "Donald on Ice," "Pluto's Christmas Tree," "The Nutcracker," and "Mickey's Christmas Carol." Merry Christmas everyone!

'Twas the day before Christmas and on the podcast, Kellen and Chris were there having a blast. Watching episodes from The Simpsons' golden age, and not new stuff that might send them into a rage. "Miracle on Evergreen Terrace" is first, where Bart creates for Springfield a robbery thirst. Following that is "Grift of the Magi," where school may be saved but for deception and lies. And while I know versions of this poem like this are quite trite, I still say Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

As Kellen and Adham Fisher find out, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is at first glance a harmless Christmas special from Rankin / Bass. However, it doesn't take long to realize that this special contains the most evil character in any Christmas special, worse than the Grinch, the Wet Bandits, and the Satanic Woodland Critters. No, it's not the Abominable Snow Monster of the North. It's Donner.

As far as modern classic Christmas movies go, Kellen doesn't think there are many better than 2003's Elf. Find out why he feels the movie walks the fine line of playing with tropes, while being so genuine at the same time.

It's a wonderful podcast today on Earth-2.net: The Show, as Will Ackerman takes over with a TV 101 all about It's a Wonderful Life. Then Will joins Kellen for the 2013 Earth-2.net: The Show Advent Calendar, where they review "It's a Wonderful Tiny Toons Christmas Special."

Family Guy has never been one to shy away from corrupting wholesome childhood imagery in the name of laughs. To Kellen and Tom Hemmings, this is no more evident than in "Road to the North Pole," which sees a dystopian Santa's Workshop and a gift delivery that turns to a B&E / double murder.

What happens when you take one of the greatest political satirists going today, remove said political satirizing, and replace it with a hodgepodge of musicians singing songs of wildly varying qualities? You get A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All! To decipher the good from the bad, we turn to the Colbert Nation's own Kellen Scirvens and James Trenchard.

Frosty the Snowman is one of Rankin / Bass' most well-known and beloved pieces of work. Frosty Returns, despite its title, has very little to do with the original. Kellen brings Adham Fisher back to the 2013 Earth-2.net: The Show Advent Calendar, and you'd be surprised who has the most negative view.

In the 1990s, very few cartoons were as consistently funny as Animaniacs. However, as Kellen and Will found out, that level of consistency doesn't necessarily apply to Christmas episodes. Listen for yourself as they review "'Twas the Day Before Christmas" and "A Christmas Plotz."

Kellen is joined by Chris Johnson to review one of the world's most beloved Christmas specials. From the mind of Dr. Seuss, the animation of Chuck Jones, the vocal stylings of Boris Karloff, and anchored by one of the most well-known Christmas song of all-time comes Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Someone at some point in the 1990s thought it would be a good idea to have Arnold Schwarzenegger star in a family Christmas comedy movie. The result was Jingle All the Way, and Kellen is joined by James Trenchard to make sense of it all.

When it comes to unconventional Christmas celebrations, does it get much more unconventional than singing pieces of poo and a blood orgy involving adorable woodland critters? No, of course not. To make sense of it all, Kellen and Ian Wilson review South Park's "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics" and "Woodland Critter Christmas."

One of the best parts of Christmas is the chance to get together with old friends and family you don't often see. While Christmas in Japan is very different from most of the Western world, Digimon's "A Very Digi Christmas" makes this a principle tennant of its story. Kellen is joined by Will Ackerman to discuss this episode.

Kellen Scrivens loves Christmas. Adham Fisher does not. Kellen and Adham sat down to review Olive, the Other Reindeer. Kellen thinks that the special's opening number is fun, Adham is offended by the first line. Oh what fun awaits.

Who doesn't love a Christmas episode that has its first airing in October and does not fit in with the present continuity? If that person is you, then you may not be a fan of Pokemon's "Holiday Hi-Jynx." To that end, Kellen and Brett Scrivens review the Trailer Park Boys special "Dear Santa Claus, Go Fuck Yourself."

It's 09 December, which means it's the day that Abed and his mom meet to watch Rudolph, unless something new has happened in her life. In which case, Abed's world may degenerate into some sort of stop-motion animation. To bring the mood up, the gang tries to inject some glee into their lives, but is it enough to get them to Regionals? Find out as Kellen and Tom Hemmings review Community's Christmas episodes "Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas" and "Regional Holiday Music."

No matter what decade it is, some things never change. Be it teenagers getting smashed at a party on Christmas vacation, a neighbor with really loud Christmas decorations, or some people being very cynical of the season. It's all here as Kellen and Chris Johnson look at two That '70s Show episodes: "Hyde's Christmas Rager" and "An Eric Forman Christmas."

They say if the women don't find you handsome, they can at least find you handy. Very few people adhere to that philosophy quite as much as the incomparable Red Green. Dave is a man with a soundboard, Ian is a Skype ninja, and Mike is displeased with time travel in a time travel movie. Together, they review Biggles: Adventures in Time. Also, Peter Cushing is in no way creepy. Nope. Not at all. Never mind that length of rope in the corner, the stuffed raven on a perch, and the bag of automatic machine guns.

Iron Man 3 has hit the cinemas and Ian Wilson is here to review it! But that's not all, as Comic Reel-lief rises to the challenge of also reviewing another metal-based superhero movie: Steel.

Hannah brings up a disturbing Christmas sweater, Will has a theory about a Christmas protagonist becoming one of this site's most reviled characters, and the hosts come to blows over one of the films on the list. Ladle up some eggnog into your moose-antler glass and take a listen.

Only The Shadow knows Joey's Christmas Story. Well, now you do too, but don't tell him. He gets a bit tetchy sometimes.

A Christmas Carol is a timeless classic that every TV show seems content to rip apart at some point or another. In this TV 101, Will talks about some of the better explorations of the holiday classic, says "Bah! Humbug!" to some of the less good, and wonders why one character is always so annoying.
