Hi, I’m taking a little time off and will be back with new episodes in January. I’m sharing an episode from the archive that builds upon the latest episodes. Today we’re discussing how self-compassion improves our ability to get started, deal with challenges, keep going and get along with others. We’ll be talking about proven strategies, and ideas. They won’t prevent us from making mistakes, but when we do, and we treat ourselves with compassion, the cost is not as high-- because yup, Self-compassion also reduces stress, self-criticism, and makes our life more ADHD Friendly. While many of us have realized that we must know how to take care of ourselves and our ADHD, there can be a tendency still to believe that we’re the problem or if only we could do this or that things would be better. But what if we can’t? Even if another younger version of us could? Our biggest consistency is often inconsistency and if we want to show up as our best versions of ourselves, it starts with self-compassion.
