Maya Dengel is a Minneapolis based music maker, budding from the suburbs of Eden Prairie. She began writing her own songs when she was just 12 years old and started performing them at 15 in venues such as The Depot in Hopkins, Cafe 318 in Excelsior, and local school and chorale events. Maya captures the raw emotions of the world around her through her music, artfully turning her adventurous, nostalgic, and romantic thoughts into poetry. She freely floats through genres, experiments with pop, indie, folk, and singer-songwriter. She always keeps her ears open to all styles, genres, and cultures to gather inspiration, from the likes of J. Cole, FIDLAR, and Mac Demarco
