Guilherme Paiva is a musician and a sociologist. He is a Brazilian compositor. In Brasília, he created the band Cumade Selvira and the Cantiga de Grilo. The musical group recorded the CD Caravanas de Pensamentos, with kinds of music that mingled baião, rock, xote, and reggae. In 2007, he became a professor at the University of State of Rio Grande do Norte, in Mossoró.
